  1. Nice to see you back Stay strong and you are in my thoughts as you go through this next step.
  2. ((((Ernie)))) I don't know what to say but I know how I feel. I feel the tears in my eyes as I type this. I complain so much about myself and how I feel though I certainly have nothing close to what others here experience including yourself. I wish I could be there and give you a hug and tell you everything will be allright. I'll be thinking of you when you have your tests and I truly hope there will be a most positive outcome out of these tests. Finding something that can help, your magic pill. You are a very strong woman. I read and hear many on this forum with that will to fight and you certainly are one of them.
  3. My heartrate always varies. If it is in the 70's-80's sitting(that is a good day) standing it goes to 90-100's and forget about moving around. I think our bodies go through changes and these symptoms just pop out where and when they want. Some days just sitting my resting rate is in the 90-100's and standing it really goes up to 120's so you know what walking or moving something around does to it. Not quite sure what a normal moving around hr would be but if you continue to feel lousy call the dr and just check. All in all I ditto Katherines remarks.
  4. I am so sorry to hear of this news. My thoughts are with you as you deal with this. Please take care of yourself during this time. ((((hugs)))
  5. Hope you have a great "B" day and celebrate in whatever way makes you happy. Thanks for all you do here for us and wishing you the best of health!
  6. I had that several years ago, and when I searched on the internet I found a site that talked about an ice-pick headache on one side. Mine were quick, stabbing and they could happen one after another or come and go all day. I started to notice a pattern more or less that they occured in the winter, and usually during barometric changes. I went to my neuro and he checked me over and that is exactly what he told me. Ice-pick headaches. He offered me indocin but I never took it and eventually by late winter early spring they stopped. http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=Arme1uD7a29MwbQ0...a/ice_picks.htm Hope this link helps a bit. Not one that I read several years ago, but describes it.
  7. I have that also from time to time. Good just to have it checked out anyway. Try not to focus too much on it. I find that the more I focus on it then I seem to start the anxiety and worry and it makes me worse.
  8. Here I am sitting in my house trying to keep warm as the darn snow and rain mix is falling. Yuck! Really shows how this board brings people to together. Sounds like the heat is getting to you and your body really needs the fluids so keep pushing. How about those little around the neck fans? My daughter has one of those that she takes to school in the summer or a spray bottle with water so you can at least spray yourself and keep yourself a little cooler.
  9. I don't have much to add except for my support and well wishes. I hope you are feeling better this a.m. and am keeping my fingers crossed that the b12 will help. Hugs to you(((())))
  10. Sorry you had such a bad night. I hope the meds that you are waiting for will be the rope for you to get out of the hole. Hang in there! (((hugs))))
  11. Hugs(((()))) to you. You had an exciting time with your books and all. The body is ready for a break. You will be on the way back up soon I am sure.
  12. I get palpitations but those feel like flutters. I also get twitches which in some areas feel like the vibration. The last for a few seconds and can come and go.
  13. Glad to hear everything is on an upswing!
  14. You measure your ankle, calf, how does that correlate to the box? (I know that questions sounds silly )I have never bought a pair but was looking in the store and see that they go by compression. So how do you know what to buy? I want to try to see if it helps me.

  16. Ahh, another long vacation driver like me. Glad you had a great symptom-free vacation and hope this is the first of many.
  17. I can offer you support. It is hard to be upbeat, while we may able to put on a good front for a while, it does seem to catch up to us. There are plenty of times when I just want to pull up the covers and call it a day. Crying is just one of the many release valves. We recently had a scare with my 8yr old and after rushing to pick her up from school, take her to the drs, etc,. I came home and all of a sudden it hit me and I cried for a long time, about her, about life in general. Sometimes something sets it off and other times the dam just blows. Hope you feel better soon and hang in there.
  18. The nature of the beast it seems. I will have good days and I know when I have a few good days, the invevitable is waiting to happen, the surges, chills etc. As strange as this sounds, sometimes feeling normal makes me feel strange, so used to having the feelings that when they are not there I wonder what is wrong now
  19. Amazing what heat like that even for only an hour or so can do. Hope you are feeling better and can get an earlier appt. Glad that you both were able to reconnect again, that truly is special!
  20. ((hugs)) to you. Though personally I have not had that experience I worked in ob/gyn field for many years. As you well know, you see many things, many hard choices/decisions that a single person or couple must make. It will take time to heal, and unfortunately all you can do is wait for it to begin.
  21. 95% of my day is spent with the chills, shivers and teeth chatters. My thyroid has checked out fine as well as 24hr urine. Funny thing is shivering in front of people when it is 90 degrees out, they really think one is strange
  22. I hope you are feeling better now. You are not useless. You just have to make adjustments now to do things you want to do. I've been shopping online this year also. Some good deals. Overstock.com has $1.00 shipping on everything, I did walmart.com and toys-r-us usually has some good deals on shipping also.
  23. Get that also. I agree that it probably changes by the time one checks it.
  24. I get that also, especially in the a.m.. I get up and take a shower I notice it when I am drying my hair, I look down and go Wow!, my feet are purple.
  25. Wonderful! That is a great feeling. I never knew how anyone could put the feeling into words but you certainly did! It is a great feeling, so bask in it!
