  1. Hi Gena, Sorry you are experiencing these. I know how annoying and frightening they can be. I had a bout of I think they were pvc's but could have been pac's(I get them both) after shoveling snow when I was pregnant. I bent over took a load of snow and tossed it and then they started. Every other beat or so had a pvc or pac. Moving was bringing them on even more. I had if for a few days. I called the cardio on call, and even at the time was wearing a heart monitor so it could the rhythm. They told me to up my beta blocker and ride it out. It did stop, but it was scary and I worried even more because I was pregnant. I know there have been many people who have had thousands of pvc's a day(especially in MVP population). I thought they worried more about pvc because of the slight risk in certain people for it to turn to v-tach. I hope you took a dose of the beta blocker and are noticing some relief. Were you doing anything or taking anything that may have triggered it of.
  2. Hi, My adrenaline surges can run from just feeling wired/hyper and tired to feeling like my stomach turns over, adrenaline being let out and having my heart start to race, having teeth chatters, hand tremors, chills, pressure in my face and head, jelly legs, frequent trips to the loo, mind racing and probably more that I have forgotten to mention. Some days it is not full blown, but have the shakey hands and jelly legs and feel like I could do a back flip on top of feeling like that. Sounds strange but true.
  3. I have to either take an extra betablocker or a klonopin and sometimes both.
  4. Hi Belinda, I am sure everything will go well. Please do not overdo it for a few days. Take care of yourself for a few days.
  5. Hi, I take Klonopin also. I take a 1/4 when I need it. In the beginning I noticed a little groggy but it wore off. I like it and have no problem when I take it for a while regularly then stop. I have had klonopin for years and used it off an on. It takes the edge off. My dr. had told me to put it under my tongue as it gets into the system faster, especially if you are feeling very panicky or feel a panic attack coming on.
  6. Hi, Anyone else have the noises in your ears? Sometimes louder sometimes a little more subdued. Today I can hear it in my left ear, louder, softer, louder, softer. Keeps going back and forth. I had this checked last summer by my ENT who said it could be from anything. Allergies, sinuses or unexplained. Very annoying at times.
  7. Hi, Hope you are feeling a bit better by now. Could it be an adrenaline type rush? I believe as our bodies clock knows that it is coming to the a.m. the levels start to rise. I am ok during the night but by a certain time in the a.m. while I am still in bed the rushes start. I feel the wave come over me from head down. Like someone keeps hitting the button to go. It feels like a wave but I also have the electrical type feeling also. I gulp some water, wait a few minutes then try to get up. Souns like it could be one of those rude awakenings in the a.m. we can get.
  8. Hi MM, I hope you feel better soon. I am guessing you are having the same weather we are up here. Went from warm an rainy to cold and snowy...Been killing the sinuses... I use the neilmed one also. Feel well soon.
  9. Glad it went well. I hope this new med helps you.
  10. Hi Dizzy, Glad you are home now. What an ordeal. Kudos for you to stick up for yourself even as you felt so lousy. Now I know why my dr. tells me not to go to e.r. unless absolutely necessary. He says they will have no clue what to do and will just load you up with meds and tell you that you have a phsycological problem. Ya think they could have asked you why you were on the med? Would have been to easy. All those fluids, how are you holding it all in..lol. Hope you get a good nights sleep and feel better in the a.m.
  11. I take antibiotics also before cleanings. Also have MVP.
  12. Thanks for letting us know. Please let her know we are all plugging for her and keeping her in our thoughts. Get well soon Dizzy!!!!
  13. Hi Belinda, If you need to go to the er, go. Make sure you let them know you are miscarrying. That should get you in quicker. We had patients who prefered to pass it on their own also. Sometimes we gave them medication along with it. It can just take a while. The lump in your throat could be from anxiety/stress. You've been going through a lot. Globus sensation is what I remember it being called. Or, it could be from reflux. LPR, which is reflux into the larynx and pharynx. I just recently found out I had that, thought it was from anxiety. Does your throat burn or hurt? Clearing your throat frequently? Does your throat feel swollen? Hoarse voice? Those are more likely to be from reflux. Hugs to you and I hope you get through this soon.
  14. Hi, I don't faint either. I have the surges also. Had them all day yesterday, tachy off and on all day even with 3 doses of betablockers and then I had surges from about 3:00 am till 6:00 a.m. Times I get them off and on all day. Feel them from the pit of my stomach up into my head and of course the heart gets affected also. It comes not matter what my b/p is normal, low or high. I feel tired and headachy for a day or two after. My head feels full. That after the adrenaline hits feeling is nasty. It's not picky that's for sure. I have not found anything to really help them either. I take a bb but unless I really up the dose, this amt. won't do much, blocks a little bit of the adrenaline. Any more bb and I'll be asleep all the time My cardio had my try some ssri but I could not tolerate the side effects. So I really don't know if one of them would have helped the surges like he thought they would. Maybe if I get bold again I will try. I just said to my hubby last night that I feel like I am getting worse. The episodes are more frequent and sometimes many, many times a day. He reassures me this is just a bad time, my cardio says the same. So let's hold on together, we'll get through this. O.k? Hope you are feeling better.
  15. Glad that it is not anything more serious. You can finally take a deep breath I don't know anything personally about the study, sorry. I wish you the best on that appt. and I hope they can resolve this for you once and for all
  16. Sorry to hear that. Hope your head is feeling better. That was quite a fall! Try not to let this bad day get you down. Sounds like you were doing well and just overdid it a bit. Give yourself a bit more TLC and hopefully you will be back on your feet soon:)
  17. Tell him he has been great through all this,(which I am sure he knows already),he deserves some me time, and to get refreshed! Tell him you would rather have him happy and refreshed in a week than you being 2x as miserable feeling guilty for him staying home during that week. If anything happens, he can catch a flight back if need be and your son can keep him in the loop while he is gone. If you feel everything will be o.k. with him gone, then he should go. It would put a smile on your face too.
  18. Hi Bamagirl, I had that test done along with the 24hr urine to check for pheochromocytoma. The only thing that came back a bit high was my plasma normetanephrines. Dr. told me the test was fine. I am also going to see an endo next week for the first time to get some other tests done.
  19. I get shaky and sweaty also along with teeth chatters that I can't control.
  20. Hi, Sitting and then made worse by standing. Lots of pressure. Feels like you do after crying a lot. The headachey, fuzzy head feeling.
  21. Hi Belinda, Sorry you are going through this. Make sure they give you IV fluids before, during and after. You may have some options with anesthesia though. Speak with your OB on this.
  22. Hi Dizzy, I am glad you made the trip and look forward to hearing how it went. So sorry you went through that experience. I can't imagine what it was like. Must have been scary. You were in the hotel room by yourself? Wow, give you a lot of credit, you are brave and it must have been twice as scary not having anyone there with you. ((((hugs))) to you and hope you are feeling better now.
  23. I'll be keeping your brother and family in the my thoughts and prayers. I'm sorry it came back positive but fingers are crossed that it was only where they saw it and nothing more.
  24. Happy Birthday Calypso/Amy! Many, many more healthy ones too!!! 30, I am envious. I'm not liking the number for this year for me. Oh 30, I remember when. Hope you had a great day
  25. Hi, I'm sure there are surges, storms etc, in all different shapes and sizes, depending upon circumstances, state of mind, state of body etc. You just never know when it will happen. You are going good for a day, two days maybe three then all of a sudden it's all back and then some. The best we can do is ride it out, take care of ourselves to get through it and start all over again. Not trying to sound dismal. We need to keep in mind that one good day could turn into two then three and so on. Have to hold onto that.
