  1. I'm in the exact situation and am scared because after starting flornief I felt some improvement to my symptoms. I looking forward to the responses and feel what you are going through. Dayna
  2. Well I was on the lowest dose to begin with 25mg. So I'm not too worried because I haven't been on that long. Almost 2 months. If I was at a higher dose I would Definitely wean down but I have nothing to wean down from. I'll take 1/2 dose for 2 days than 1/2 of a 1/2 for 2 days than stop. That way I don't have to worry about heart attcks or anything like that. But either ways I don't think my doctors thinks it's a problem because I am on such a low dose. Thanks for all your imput!!! Good Night Dayna
  3. I've been going back and forth with my doctor since Friday and I told here to px me inderal. Everyday I call and she says she's sending it over...............and never does. Well I left a final message stating that I'm stopping Metoprolol due to severe depression and it their are any concerns to call me. Well she didn't call so I assume I can just stop taking it. I was only on it for 2 months. I feel my hr going fast and am more nauseated but other than that I seem okay. Even in alittle better spirits. So I've already missed 2 days of it. Anyone just stop betas without weaning? I really feel
  4. Over this past year I have been to the ER for IV fluids due to dehydration. The I.V. fluids actually make me more symptomatic. I get really, really cold. So cold that I can't stop shaking and chattering my teeth. I get 90 times more dizziness. I can't even stand without someone helping me. I turn a horrible pale green and just feel horribly ill. Now everyone here talks about all the help they get with IV fluids. Does anyone experience what I do? I am scaried to get more IV. Is there any connection between my POTS and my reaction to IV's? Maybe it's because I get sooo cold? Just was curious ab
  5. Thanks for your replies. I have no intentions on having more children anytime soon. There's not much action going on in this pots hole but I was just thinking about my future with the hopefullness of health. I also have three wonderful children and I was asking because they are going through alot and I would never put their happiness at risk if I have control over the situation. I guess we will have to see if the future brings health... Dayna
  6. For those of you who have POTS caused by postpartum my heart goes out to you. Having a new baby and dealing with new health issues all at once must have been devestating. I don't know my cause, were still trying to figure it out. But I did get autonomic neuropathy (POTS) when my son was 5 months. Before that I was fine. Anyways my question is did you have POTS symptoms before you were pregnant or was it a sudden thing? Does anyone know what caused it since it was postpartum does that mean it was the hormones or the stress the body was under during delivery???? If this information is unknown l
  7. That makes alot of sense but I wonder how we damaged our hypothalamus? If they can perform reconstructive brain surgery than why can't anyone figure us out?????? I know everyone has questions like these I'm just having a bad pots week and am feeling angry wishing there was more research into the management of our problems. The doctors have access to fix others who's conditions aren't as life altering when is it going to be our turn???????? I wish I would have gone to medical school or something so I could have answers to all of this.... Maybe one of my kids will become a doctor. Just venting d
