  1. Ok so lately I have been getting the wonderful adrenaline surges. I am keeping well hydrated, eating lots of salt, no caffiene etc. But I am still getting them. Its been going on for a couple of weeks now on and off. I have days when I am so wired that I have to force myself to sit down and days when I can barely get out of bed. I know alot of it propbably has to do with hormones since I am in my first trimester, but I feel like crap. I cant really take anything like xanax because benzos are known to cause birth defects when taken in the first 12-14 weeks of pregnancy. Does anybody have any suggestions?
  2. I have POTs and anxiety which was brought on by the POTs. I take florinef and Zoloft. I would see another dr and have them retest you. I was not diagnosed through a TTT. I was diagnosed based on 24 hour urine collection/analysis, my cardio took my bp laying, sitting and standing quite a few times and bloodwork, so I dont have any advice as far as that goes. Good luck!
  3. I swear that I see things sometimes when I am feeling POTsy. Dont worry, you're not alone!
  4. I didnt know that peppers could burn you! My hubby is a picky eater and wont eat peppers so I dont buy them. Glad your hands are feeling better.
  5. my understanding is that florinef can cause your bp to go up. Unfortunately for me, my bp is low and even with the florinef, I cant seem to get it over 100/60. I guess everyone is different. I would call your dr if your bp continues to be high.
  6. Im sorry that you are still feeling bad Melissa! Hope you get to feeling better and enjoy your birthday!
  7. it sounds like it would be really cool, I think that it would drive my cats crazy though! They are already a little off if you get my drift.
  8. I would go if you think you will feel up to it! Sounds like it would be alot of fun!
  9. it sounds like an awesome opportunity! If I were feeling up to it, I would go. Have you talked to your dr about it?
  10. I dont faint, but only because I can feel it coming on and usually lay down or do something to try and prevent it.
  11. it happens to me too! Its very scary to wake up and feel like your heart is beating out of your chest. I dont know what causes it.
  12. wow Amy! Thats a heavy load! Ill keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
  13. When I get tachy at night, I usually wake up with a jolt and feel like my heart is beating out of my chest. I keep my florinef on the nightstand and usually go ahead and take one. When I wake up I have to pee so I stumble to the bathroom and pray that I dont pass out. On my way back to the bed I grab a wet rag for my forhead. I make sure the fan is on high and then I just lay there with the rag on my head. Usually I fall back asleep at some point. If Im feeling really awful, Ill try and wake up my husband, but he is usually incoherent if you wake him up in the middle of the night. Hope you get some rest soon!
  14. that is very interesting. I would like to see how it all turns out. My nephew loves the wiggles.
  15. I have been having symptoms since I was 17. I am 23 now, so it has been 6 years. I have good days and bad days, but I am usually able to function.
  16. glad to hear that you are feeling better POTs wise! I hope you have a speedy recovery and stay feeling well.
  17. Happy birthday nina! I hope that you get everything that you wanted and that you feel great!
  18. Im pregnant! I just found out on Sunday! We are so excited! You might remember that I have a 22 month old little girl, Gabby. This was not planned, but we are still very happy! I am due the first of august so Im sure that I will be miserable in the heat. I was able to stay on my florinef and zoloft last time so hopefully this pregnancy will go smoothly as well. I am seeing the same obgyn so they know my history. I felt pretty good POTs wise last time so I'm hoping that this time will be the same.
  19. I drink tea all of the time and on special occasions coffee, but I do it in moderation to keep from jumping out of my skin.
