  1. Do you know anybody with a pacemaker that also takes Coumadin? Do you know anybody with a pacemaker that does not take Coumadin? thanks
  2. thanks again. bradycardia is what causes my issues. Collapsing fainting and tonic clonic. And its frequent. The bradycardia has been confirmed during each of my 4 TTTs. I'm worried about having no income because if they try me on other meds and they don't work - I won't belong on the road and won't be able to work. And I really do not want to be having seizures in front of my daughter. I'll be a single mom as of Nov 4. Speaking of work...... time to go. thanks again
  3. I was told back when I started on Norpace that a pace maker was my last option. That was probably 7 years ago. Now that I was told Norpace will no longer be manufactured I'd like to see if anybody has experience with sinus bradycardia and a pace maker. I realize that other meds may be available to try but I have reason to doubt that they will work. anyone?
  4. The only time I felt that bad I was low on Potassium. I would say no school unless you hear from the Dr. first, and I do suggest you ask him about potassium. good luck...........
  5. Its clearly a cycle with one intensifying the other. The very short answer is to know that neither the anxiety or POTS are dangerous. Both are distressing but not dangerous. Knowing that to be true can allow you to let the anxiety pass in a shorter space of time.
  6. Jenny, I just saw my Dr. and he did say they don't use the TTT anymore, for NCS. Also that treatment has improved over the last 10 years.
  7. Thanks- I'll look into your suggestions. The EP said, treatment has changed and improved over the last 10 years, he wants tests done. Echo, monitor and blood work. then we'll talk about other meds.
  8. I saw my EP today and got the news. I was not able to work without it. And I haven't mentioned but I sold my house Aug. 11 (that is accepted an offer) Bought a condo (that is had my offer accepted )on the 20th. Have settlement on both in OCt. getting separated at that time. Taking my autistic daughter with me and- WHAT! As far as I know a pace maker is my last option. I am NOT a happy camper. If anyone knows a med with Anticholinergic, anti-muscarinic, and negative inotropic effect let me know. I had no luck! The reasons he gave for stopping the manufacture are--so few people take it and its dangerous. I'm afraid I will be disabled.
  9. When I went back to work it was at McDonalds. I was able to get a 3 hour shift 5 days a week, and I was able to increase hours gradually. good luck
  10. Erik, Thanks for that info on the long QT wave. I have to watch mine. I might just print that med list out.
  11. for?mi?ca?tion Pronunciation: (f?r"mi-kā'shun), [key] ?n. a tactile hallucination involving the belief that something is crawling on the body or under the skin. the above is a symptom of menopause among other things you can "google" it.
  12. peppermint patty and jenny, My story is very similar, I have NCS and OH. As far as false positives on the TTT I'm not buying that because a person can have convulsions its not ,necessarily, just "a simple faint". Also I've had 4TTTs. They recheck after trying new meds. Passed out during all 4. I don't think 4 false positives are likely. And jenny I had to laugh, I would say I collapsed but was not out too. That was my experience. Onlookers might tell you different. Like the Dr. doing the TTT. I also seize when I faint- who knew!
  13. that was interesting , thanks for taking the time to fill us in. I wish you continued success.
  14. Sorry you are going through this................
  15. It sounds like the discomfort I get after I watch TV or read in bed. Its from poor posture- for me.
  16. pulling them down is not hard. Its better to do first the spanks ,then the hose. If you do both at the same time you might get bunching or rolling. When there's no bunching there's no discomfort. I have some trouble getting the back on the Spanks up as high as it's meant to be- that is - to the bra. The Higher power stops the panty hose waistband from rolling also, which is part of the problem futurehope mentioned. With airplane bathrooms being so small I think you best use the one in the airport right before boarding. The hanes product is easier to put up and helps a little, its better then nothing.
  17. I where my regular compression panty hose and the Spanks "Highger Power" tummy control over it. http://www.barenecessities.com/SPANX-Highe...32_,search,.htm
  18. I have worn Spanks "higher power" and compression hose many many times, aside from the heat , I am more comfortable with them on.
  19. I always stop doing anything when I'm dazed- except walk funny and more or less in circles. I have no idea what I was doing/ what I wanted to do/ or what I should be doing!
  20. bouillon is loaded with salt (910mg) and easy on the stomach
  21. I suggest buying the 20-30 for you first pair, and going here http://www.discountsurgical.com/wizard.asp these are good and very affordable. The Absolute Brand. But my thinking is try these out to see what they are like. And buy just one pair. You can upgrade the compression and Brand next time. I don't remember where I saw it but 30mm/hg was recommended, for us, so those would be ok. I prefer the 30-40 also but they are harder to put on.
