  4. Thankyou, that's good news. It is cornfusing tho, since the Dr. "didn't like it".
  5. My Dr. Said he didn't like it. He and I just got finished battleing over the risk verses benifits of the med I'm on, and I got my wish. (to stay on it) So I didn't want to pursue any "issues". A search provided all negative feedback. Hepatic failure being one cause. Since I have had Hepititus C for 34 years, I did not like seeing that. It so happens I moved in Nov. and I'll be getting a new GI and EP . Not so sure I want to see either one of them. I have various side effects from my Med, or at least -we think. I do not want to get off the med and see if the issues clear up because I expect to be nonfunctioning- off the med. I need to work , I'm a single mom. I hoped low blood volume , or low BP might do it. Ah well , "I'll keep you posted".
  6. I'm thinking NCS which I see you do have, and perhaps you just had a period? Are you possibly neglecting your "salt and water loading".
  7. I take 5mg Ambien as needed also. I can do well with less sleep on those nights - which is why I take it. Without it I must get 9 hours sleep. With it I can function normally on 6-7. Obviously I get more restful sleep. I save it for when 9 hours of sleep is impossible.
  8. Did you increase your salt intake too? You need water AND salt.
  9. I think your parents will be happiest if you do what is best for you, because they want you to be happy and sucessful. If your brother has good freinds- he will be ok too- IMO. As to what is best for you - don't know - I think the colleges have a person in place to help you with that decision? good luck
  10. I could not keep with with my home. Small but 2 floors, a basement, a garage and a yard. The washer and dryer were in the basement. It was a $%^&load of work -but it sold and -now everything is on one floor. WOOHOO! I forgot to say- no yard- no garage either!
  11. casper, a shower always helped my neck and shoulder tension.

  14. thankyou, i hope for happy holidays for you and yours as well. if you cut back on liquids to aviod the frequent peeing, you will experance some level of dehydration. Dehydration is one of the worst states a POTS patient can be in. It is very important to always stay well hydrated.
  15. being over weight can cause "fatty liver" and effect tests. also "Hemochromatosis occurs when too much iron builds up in the body, particularly the liver. The result is liver swelling. There are two forms of hemochromatosis: primary and secondary. Primary hemochromatosis is caused by a problem with your genes or by receiving a large number of blood transfusions which boost your iron levels. Primary hemochromatosis is the most common genetic disorder in the United States, affecting an estimated 1 of every 200 to 300 Americans."

  17. 0ddly,when I need more salt, I pee, pee, pee. I realized this by acident. Tested it the next time it happened, and again the salt curbed the peeing. Good luck
