  1. I have heard complaints of depression and anxiety. I only get a small twitching in my toe when I take it which is only a few times a month. Dayna
  2. That makes my heart ache. I hope she's doing okay Dayna
  3. I've tried all kinds of alternatives and though they helped some symptoms for a short period of time, once my money ran out I was back to square 1. I say give alternative a try, it might really help you but cure you I just don't know about that. Dayna
  4. Probiotics helped me with the Acid that comes along with gastroparesis. I stopped my PPI after starting probiotics. Dayna
  5. I'm glad to hear everything is going so well. Enjoy this because it is sooooo worth every ache and pain. Dayna
  6. I agree with Julie and Bee. I believe it had something to do with my illness. Dayna
  7. My counselor and I feel I need to get my inner ears checked just to rule out any new physical things that might be contributing to my new constant lightheadedness which is now causing panic attacks. I know it's probally just this fancy complex illness of our but what kind of doctor do you see to get your inner ears checked? I looked for a nose, ears and throat doctor and came up with nothing. Are they called something else and if anyone has experience what type of testing do they do? Thanks Dayna
  8. I have gastroparesis also. My 1/2 time was 220 minutes and I dealt with the horrible nausea consistently for 2yrs. Cross my fingers but since June I have only had a few bad nausea bouts. At that time I also started Wellbutrin and Flornief. Unfortunately I started them together so it's unknown which one actually helped the stomach but I think treating my POTS helps my stomach. I never heard a beta blocker helping the stomach though. And I don't get the swishing unless I eat salad. I do know stress makes my stomach alot worse also. I hope you find some answers. I would give the reglan a try. You can always stop if you don't like the side effects. I never had side effects until recently if I take it my little toe twitches but nothing more. Hang in there I know how hard it is to deal with stomach issues. Dayna
  9. I take Wellbutrin XL so mine is just once a day in the morning. I didn't have any problems with it except increased anxiety at first. I am starting slowly on Zoloft so I might stop Wellbutrin once I'm weaned up. I don't know if Wellbutrin is helping anymore but I'll find out when I stop. Why did Dr. Grubb prescribe this drug? Are you on a SSRI? I can't see him so I was wondering what his opinion was. Also I agree with Sunfish on the dosing. Dayna
  10. You described my symptoms. I just posted a topic about sitting and being lightheaded. I've been sick for 2 yrs but origionally I was just having Major nausea issues so some of these POTS symptoms are kinda new to me in the last 6 months. It's like it switched systems or something. I can't offer any advise but want to say hang in there and trust me, your not alone. Dayna
  11. futurehope - this symptom is not new it just used to come here and there but now it seems so constant. I am improving in the gastroparesis area but feel a major decline in the POTS. It's always one or the other. dayna
  12. Does anyone know why I feel lightheaded when I'm sitting or standing. I feel just as sick in both positions except when sitting it's without the heart rate increase. I feel like something more is going on but don't even know where to begin looking for answers. I'm finally tolerating an SSRI so maybe that will help with some of these crazy symptoms. I've only been on it about a week so I know I'll have to wait awhile to see any positives. Dayna
  13. I'm sorry all of you also experience this but I feel soooo much better that I am not alone and am not hitting looney town. I love this site. Imagine if there was no where for us to discuss this stuff. We are all so blessed to have eachother. Thanks all Dayna
  14. Ernie thank you.....................I feel so alone with this one and explaining it to others makes me doubt my great mind. Don't you hate it when your strolling along fine than out of nowhere comes another new symtpom you need to try to tackle. Autonomics is soooooooooooooooooooooooo complicated. Dayna
  15. I am sooo glad to hear from you!!!!!!!! Congrats on the baby girl. We were all so worried about you. So your feeling better now? Being a mom is definitely the greatest experience ever. I feel your pain about your husband not wanting more due to your health. My husband actually got a vasectomy because he feels my pregnancies caused my pots. I think the day he came home from surgery was one of the saddest days. I didn't want him to do it. Dayna
  16. Lately I really feel like I'm losing my mind. I am so close to feeling almost normal except for these potsie episodes I keep getting. I've been noticing that they happen alot when their is alot of noise around me. Ex. Yesterday I was at a resturant and it was loud and I was trying to listen to my friend but all the background talking really made me feel over whelmed than I started feeling lightheaded, heart racing and just feeling nervous. Once I tuned out the noise (which is hard for me ) I felt better. Is that pots or is something wrong with my ears. I guess I just feel over stimulated and I don't know how to avoid it or why all of a sudden it's happening. I also think that's what's happening in the car all the noises from the car, the kids etc is just becoming overwhelming to me and now I have anxiety driving . But at home I'm fine. The kids can be totally crazy and music and tv can be on and I'm totally chilled What is going on? Am I going loopy? I guess I'm freaking out because I don't know if this is my autonomic nervous system going wild or am I slowly losing my marbles which is a VERY scary thought for me. Anyone else have experience with this?
  17. Thanks Spike. The dramamine wasn't that bad -just gave me a headache. I'll have to try it again to see if it helps or if I'm just having a good day. Dayna
  18. Well that really stinks when family is not supportive. You should direct her to this website and then let her think what she wants...... Don't let it get the best of you, it's not worth the added stress. I wish we all lived by eachother so we could give eachother hugs when needed. Hang in there girlie Dayna
  19. I remember that Grey's Anatomy. I hope they figure something out soon so you can get some relief. I know how hard it is when there are no answers. Dayna
  20. My doc said I could use compression hose in the winter and midodrine in the summer. Does that mean compression hose does the same thing as midodrine? does anyone do midodrine and compression hose at the same time? Dayna
  21. So sorry to hear all that your going through. It feels great when you can work with doctors that actually know what's going on. I hope you start feeling better soon. Dayna
  22. I haven't drove in a few weeks and I've been getting a dizziness/lightheaded sensation while in the passenger side. I was wondering if dramamine has helped anyone out with episodes like these. We are going on an hour car drive this evening and of course I'm having anxiety about it. When I'm in the car it almost feels like I'm over stimulated with all the cars moving, the sounds and different lightings. Do any of you experience this? This happened in the summer for a few weeks than it just faded away so I'm hoping that it's just a faze and I need to be patient than I'll be driving soon. Driving used to be my relaxing outlet.....you feel so trapped in the house when you have to depend on others to drive you around. This is especially hard with the kids needing to be places. My husband was out of town last week and the kids had to miss school. Unfortunately I don't have family close and live far from the school's so no one to car pool with. I'll sit tight and hope it passes again. Any imput on dramamine? Dayna
  23. I've been on .1 mg for a few months and I find it beneficial. I want to get to .2 but than the headaches become more severe. I also take a potassium supplement with it. I think it's definitely worth a try. Good luck with it Dayna
  24. Sounds very familiar. Dayna
  25. My heart aches for you. I'm so sorry you are going through all this family stuff and this illness too. To be honest I don't think alot of us know why or how we got POTS. I have no idea. I was healthy one day and horribly sick the next. The only thing I'm fortunate for was I had my family when I was young when I got sick I was 27 with a 7month baby, 3yr and 6yr old so for that I'm thankful. But let me tell you the struggles of having this illness and raising a family...................not easy.l don't think it's easy for anyone even if you don't have kids. That might actually be harder since you don't have the extra push. have you tried to talk to a counselor? Are you on any treatments? I have improved quite a bit in 2yrs but still have along way to go to feel highly functional but I believe I'm on my way with baby steps. Their is hope for you it seems that it just takes time. So try to be patient and rest up so your body can heal. Also added anxiety is probally going to make recovery alot harder. Trust me I think that's the last link to my healing. If I can rid myself of the anxiety and lightheadedness I would be very functional. I hope you find some answers. Also I failed all the tests you mentioned therefore I was dx with Idopathic (unknown cause) Autonomic Neuropathy or Autonomic dysfunction. Hang in there and feel free to pm me if you need someone to talk to. Dayna
