  1. I eat crackers or plain toast. Small amounts and sip ginger tea. Don't drink alot at one time either. this post is a couple days old. I hope your "all better" by now.
  2. I told one person- when I first got the job- so he could avert a panic when I collasped. Which I did. It scares some people. Now everybody knows and we laugh, the boss tells me to clock out before I collaspe and clock in when I get up. We have a good laugh.
  3. Hi- Flop! get well soon!
  4. A pharmicist and my Doc have oked St. Johns Wort for me because Prozac interfers with my sleep. You might try that.
  5. Autoantibodies to neuronal ganglionic nicotinic receptor have been found in patients with autoimmune autonomic neuropathy (AAN). In this paper the authors developed an animal model of autonomic failure by immunizing rabbits with a portion of the ganglionic receptor. Following this the animals developed autoantibodies to the receptor and then developed dysautonomia, confirmed by examination of the nerve structure. This model suggests that AAN in humans is a disorder of ganglionic cholinergic synaptic transmission caused by nAChR antibodies. http://www.davidsbell.com/LynNewsV1N2.htm
  6. Researchers have discovered an antibody to neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors of autonomic ganglia (Vernino, Low, Fealey, Stewart, Farrugia & Lennon, 2000). Some people with POTS have an antibody titer test that is positive to this antibody. Patients with the highest levels of these ganglionic-receptor-binding antibodies have the most severe autonomic dysfunction. Physicians have discovered that antibody levels lower as some patients improve, which suggests a cause and effect relationship. copy and pasted from POTS Place "causes"
  7. the SSRI is not for depression its for vaso constriction. It was put on 5mg. Below the therapic level for depression- for that resaon. Serotonin aids vasoconstriction. And after being on Florinf, norpace and a beta blocker but still passing out. I found relief with Norpace and low dose prozac. Florinef and beta blocker did not help me.
  8. don't go there. The only fruit of it is negative. Set asside 30 minutes to dwell, greive, cry, fear- each day. Then leave it there til the need time. When the thought comes up- tell yourself- I'll worry about that at 10:00. good luck.
  9. your welcome, there is a tachycardia Junctional Rhythm http://www.rnceus.com/ekg/ekgjt.html have a look, might mean something to you. not me tho
  10. during the TTT when I experiance the "flutter" it is a Junctional Escape Rhythm, this is the hearts attempt to regain normal synus rhythm, its a good thing. Although, of course, something else may have been going on with you.
  11. that is classic NCS. What you felt is bradycardia. And he is right, lay down before you collaspe. Bear in min d too that if you pass out they may pull your drivers license. If you abort that by laying down- they won't. Actually I can only say- that is how it happened with me. I've laid down, in the bank- in the grocery store- at the police station, at work, at thanksgiving dinner- you name it. Also happily, I literally only need about 15 seconds supine- then I'm ok.
  12. FYI http://www.latimes.com/features/health/la-...1&cset=true also http://www.sunbox.com/ and try BOTH amber and green/blue glasses
  13. pure conjecture on my part but. it takes 2 weeks for proper levels of anti deppressants. I assume he has you at the therapudic level at the time you need it.
  14. neuropathy Symptoms The symptoms are due to the inability of nerves to send proper signals to and from your brain: * Numbness (inability to feel things properly) * Pain -- burning, pins and needles, or shooting pains * Loss of coordination * Clumsy gait * Weakness Usually, these symptoms start in the toes and feet and progress up the legs, eventually affecting the hands and arms. also see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paresthesia
  15. this... "she is depressed- she is weird it goes in spurts- i guess like everyone. Well she has admitted the problem- but is still aprehensive about it- and she has started meds again- she went off when she was feeling 'good'- i know that is very common to!" ......is classic bi-polar behavior. She should see someone if possible, IF she gets that dx she may be able to say no to the impulse to stop the meds. As a doc will explain thinking you don't need them is a manic phase- and understanding that pattern might help her. considering she is there week you can focus on the fact that its breif, that she may do things THAT irritate you, but it is not intended to irritate you. Remind yourself of the total picture this is just one disappointing week. If your feeling angry toward her- choose to excuse rather then accuse. (in your mind) BE SURE that you don't feel angry toward yourself that you can't "fix" her. That is not clear thinking. Sometimes we don't see that we are illogical when emotions are "driving". as far as her aches and pains what you know- is that you don't know if "she is just saying that". And to the rest I will be blunt, you are not responsible for her and if you overdue because your don't set up boundies you can be sure it will get worse until its unbearable- then you will melt down and be forced to set those boundies. Make your stop while the light is yellow because when it goes red the price goes up. If you continue this pattern you may be co-dependent. Good luck I know your torn
  16. Melissia I'm so sorry. We look foward to hearing from you. xxoo
  17. liver damage can do that, wether its because of hormone imbalance or some other imbalance I have no clue. The liver regulates pretty much everything I assume. good luck
  18. wishing you well flop and when you are back here- "We want details".
  19. so I did another search "Acetycholine antibodies" And false postives have occured from an RA med and general anesthiea. Were you on any immune suppressive drugs? Seems that is a treatment and they disappear then too. Please bear in mind these were quick searches. I can't give anymore details than already stated.
  20. pubmed has tons on "m2 muscarinic receptors autoantibodies" if you have hours and hours of time! However there was NOTHING on "m2 muscarinic receptors autoantibodies disappear". I asked Jeeves "autoantibodies disappear", and indeed they do. During treatment- during pregnancy. For my short look it is suspected to be temporary in both cases. And these were diabetic and adrenal antibodies- no doubt there are others, I spent only a breif time at it.
  21. this probably makes no differance but its called an autoantibody. Anitbodies do not disappear once you have them. I don't know about auto antibodies.
  22. action fiqures, you can pretend with them a long time and still be laying down.
  23. no clue here, but wishing you better results soon!~
