  1. On bad days exercise really makes me feel worse while I'm doing it but I feel a bit better afterward. On good days (like today ) I feel awesome during and even better after. I did over do it a few times and I was wiped out for a day but I'm learning how much is just right.
  2. I'm always asking is it hot/ cold in here or it it just me? It's always just me. It fluctuates all the time for me too. Either I'm burning hot or my feet and hands are icecubes. I also seem to get the chills all the time.
  3. I just skipped it. And took the needle right in to my gums. Fun.
  4. I have to go get cavaties filled today and they want to give me laughing gas. Has anyone had bad reactions or been told they shouldn't have it?
  5. Are you worried about the surgery or anesthesia? If your worried about the anesthesia when I told my doctors I had POTS the last time I went under they went through all the precautions and monitored me very closely and everything went fine. The IV saline they gave me actually made me feel more like myself than I had felt in a while! I hope you feel better and your surgery goes well on Friday!
  6. Oh my gosh, that sounds so scary. Keep us updated. I'm sending good thoughts your way.
  7. In my experience herbs have been very beneficial. If I take a phenergan I get very little relief from nausea but a Ginger capsule has been helping more. Melatonin has been helping me to sleep with out scary side effects of sleeping pills.
  8. Also Stronger by Kelly Clarkson and Skyscraper by Demi Lavato. Good songs for bad potsie days. I love Walking on Sunshine too!
  9. He emailed my Mom and said he would see me even if insurance wouldn't cover it. What a nice guy!
  10. I take orange flavored liquid fish oil and mix it in to orange juice. It works well because you can barley taste the fishy flavor.
  11. I am very happy for you! It is wonderful that you found something that has worked so well for you! I agree that exercise is a very important part of recovery and I am trying to incorporate in to my treatment plan.
  12. I love Georgia Peaches! Lauren Alania is great and I like Scotty too.
  13. So Small- Carrie Underwood I Won't Let Go- Rascal Flats
  14. It takes for ever for the dizziness to wear off after- but that's it.
  15. So sorry to hear that! I know exactly how you feel. I had to go to a couple of GI docs before I found one who knew about POTS. Are there others in your area?
  16. What if your doctor is a piece of helpful compassionate chocolate cake and his staff is mushy Brussel sprouts?
  17. If it makes my GI symptoms worse I can't live with it. Other than that I just deal... If it really makes me feel better. And I HATE feeling loopy. If it makes me feel loopy I don't take it. I didnt even take the heavy duty pain meds after I got my tonsils out because it made me feel "too happy".
  18. That is so great- well not that you felt terrible, but you know what I mean. It's such a relief to finally get a diagnosis.
  19. I thought my twin sister was fine, but for the past two months or so she has been exhausted- which was one of my first symptoms.
  20. My parents spoke directly to the insurance company and they said they weren't paying for that practice because that practice did not send them the forms they needed. The doctor is wonderful, but his staff his terrible, so they probably didn't. We (and others) have had other issues with his staff in the past.
  21. Like I posted a little while back, I found a childrens cardio who I LOVE. I went in today for a second TTT only to have my high hopes smashed to smithereens. We got to the front desk and the lady was like starting today we don't take your insurance anymore- that will be $500. So there's this whole issue with my doctors office people and the insurance company and what does that mean for me? I might not be able to see him anymore. My favorite doctor ever. My parents are looking in to it so I will let you guys know. I was supposed to get my treatment plan today and all I did was sit in the waiting room- they didn't even let us speak to the doctor. Such a dissappointment.
  22. Thanks for your responses. Mine last much longer than a few seconds- sometimes hours. I get floaters a lot too- guess it's just another potsie thing.
  23. When my feel get really purple they swell a little too. Blood pooling I guess?
  24. Usually at night- but sometimes anytime- my eyes will go blurry like I can't focus on things. I wear contacts, it's not that kind of blurry, it's almost like a weird dizziness. Does anybody else get this or know why it happens?
