  1. Seems to be an awful lot of unexplained, undiagnosable sickness going around right now. Two of my girlfriends fathers are in the hospital as well as my own mother. My mom started off two weeks before Christmas in the hospital with Congested Heart Failure, had her home for almost 10 hours before she started having excruciating pain in her stomach, loss of bowels, alot of phlem. They are giving her morphine, almost on demand the pain is so unbearable. The doctors are miffed, they cannot find anything wrong with her stomach!!! She cannot eat, they have her on total liquids for almost two weeks now. She cannot even swallow the liquid it comes right back up. This morning they will be running a whole new series of test.. Looking for answers!!!! Will keep all in our prayers ((Hugs)) Sue

  4. This morning my husband woke me up before my kids and him went Christmas shopping, he works alot because I can't so this is their yearly outing, they get up early, go to breakfast, shop til they drop, do lunch and come home, down to the basement and then they wrap!!! He woke me with a cup of coffee and said I need to say something..... He said "Sue, you have been awesome this year.. (we had to move with my parents, my dad is paralyzed from a stroke, and my mom has been hospitalized 8 times in the last 12 months.) as sick as you have been you fill our house with love, you somehow manage to keep the house under control, the bills, errands, shopping, cleaning. while making sure that all of us have what we need to get through the day. He said I am irreplacable and his heart is filled with me being in his life. Theres more, but I won't bore you. Hmm, I have two wonderful kids, who help me immensely, they have always helped around the house, they are great with their grandparents. When I am able my kids and I grocery shop, with a list that gets split in three when we get there, faster that way!! If I cant they go on their own... I often tell them how much I appreciate them, this afternoon I will tell them again.. I do everything on line thats possible, banking, bill paying, christmas shopping!! I didn't think I did anything special, if anything I often feel I am useless, feel awful for not working, and feel bad that my kids have to do so much...I putz all day, and do what I can... nap... and do more Why am I telling you all this. I guess because others don't always see us as we see ourselves. and thats a good thing!! Be positive, be strong, and know that you are loved.. ((Lots of hugs this morning)) Sue
  5. First symptoms while being pregnant with my oldest child, got extremely light headed, sweating, major heart rate during my lamaze class. Instructor thought I was having a heart attack!! That was almost 20 years ago... Now I suffer daily, but moderately, bad bouts usually in January and February. Hospitalized usually once a year. 2004 was for two months, completely autonomic failure, as Dr. Grubb calls it.... Never want to go there again, it was horrifying!!!! I felt like I was lost somewhere in my body and couldn't find my way back... ((Hugs)) Sue
  6. Hi everyone A while back I had asked for prayers for my neice Rhonda, she was in a horrific accident with her two children. Since then she has had 8 surgeries. This morning she had to have more. She is hospitalized right now in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Last week she went in for her check up, she was still having a lot of pain in her leg and not feeling quite right. Well after xrays and a CT scan they decided they had to go in and take a look. Well this morning they went in and had to take everything out.... Screws, pins, and plates, from what they told my brother they were being rejected by her body... An hour long surgery turned into 7, They put in new hardware as well as had to remove bone from her opposite hip to hold things in. Alot more then any of us thought she would have. They have her under til morning. She will be horrified when she wakes up, this means months of agonizing therapy for her AGAIN!! Last time it took her months to even be able to stand up. I cannot tell you how much this saddens my whole family. I'm asking if you would Please remember Rhonda in your thoughts and prayers, she will need them more now then ever. ((Hugs)) Sue
  7. This was a little extreme, but my father had a stroke a few years back, and while we were at a restaurant a lady a few tables over continued to STARE at my dad. Even though he is paralyzed on one side, sitting in his wheelchair he looks pretty normal. Well the longer we sat there trying to enjoy our meal she just wouldn't quit. I finally got up walked over to her table and asked her if she was trying to imagine herself or someone she loved in the chair. She was dumbfounded!!! It did the trick but you just think people wouldn't be so rude... ((Hugs)) Sue
  8. Jan That was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, what a wonderful tribute to your man. You can honestly feel the love you two shared just by looking at the pictures. My sisters husband died very young two years ago, he was fifty-one. You say you now walk alone, I can tell you from her experience you aren't walking alone, your husband strongly lives in your heart now and always. Take the wonderfulness of your relationship with you and keep it strong in your heart, he'll never leave you. God bless you and your family ((Hugs)) Sue

  18. My dad has a table that is adjustable, (up and down) kind of the size of a hospital table that goes over the bed, that you can put on the side of you on the couch or over your own bed. We ordered his from tv but you can buy them at bed bath and beyond now. good luck ((Hugs)) Sue
  19. well family members definately don't react the way we think they are going to. You are totally entitled to your fear of going to Iraq, who wouldn"t. As far as your Pots, maybe your family member should realize that most stressful situations bring out the worst in us.. Good luck with that ((hugs)) Sue
