  1. My daughter Kelly is legally blind, when she was younger she had to wear a patch to control a lazy eye. One afternoon we were out to eat and two young men were laughing hysterically at her. I started to cry and went to the bathroom so my daughter wouldn't see me. When I came out they were walking out of the restaurant pretending to be blind. I lost all control and really spit out a mouthful of words I usually don't say. Coming in the door was a group of people obviously getting together after church. One of the gentlemen came up to me and hugged me telling me whatever those gentlemen had done or said to me wasn't worth me getting so upset. Not everyone in the world has a brain. He told me those who are worth being in my life will be and those not worthy will not. I remember his words now when things go bad for me. I am hoping someone worthy of being in your life will be able to help you, there are some good people left in the world. ((((((Hugs)))))))) Sue
  2. Hi everyone, hope you are having a great Halloween!!! I have been on celexa 60 mg for a year now, I have been doing ok til yesterday, when I picked up prescription they wanted me to go on the generic. My prescriptions are always written for the "original" no generics but now my insurance doesn't want to pay for them. I am "very" med sensitive and am a little concerned about switching over. Just want to know if anyone else is on celexa and has switched over to generics. Have you had any serious issues???? Please let me know Thanks (((((((Hugs))))))) Sue
  3. Hi everyone!! Amongst all of my other problems, one thing I have always looked forward to even though I don't post much anymore is reading posts on this site. Now I am lucky if I can sit and read one or two posts. I get extremely dizzy trying to read anything on the screen and have to keep looking away!! Does this happen to anyone else?? Typing isn't bad, because I made my daughter type this Hugs Sue

  6. Dear Pooh Bear, I have an idea for you that was a wonderful grieving tool for my family. My brother in law passed away suddenly two years ago at Karate class, he had a massive heart attack in the middle of class and he was gone... None of us got to say good bye to him. At the funeral my neice passed out stationary and we all wrote our good byes we were able to thank him for being a part of our lives as well as telling him good bye. He then took all of that love with him to his final resting place... My sister placed these in his hands. along with his coffee cup I hope this helps Hugs, Sue
  7. Hi We have been watching the devastation on TV for the last two days. Its so hard to watch as people are losing everything they have.. I will be praying for your friends as well as everyone who is affected. Take care all Hugs Sue

  9. Hi Mine also started during my pregnancy. I was actually at my first birthing class. I had a full blown typical episode. My poor instructor was freaking out, as well as my husband, as I layed there unable to move or speak. They rushed me down to the ER and were actually contemplating an emergency C section!!!! Thank god my husband wouldn't let them. I wasn't diagnosed until 3 years later !! This year makes 18 tears of this Hugs Sue
  10. That so very awesome of you!!! May it come back to you tenfold (as my mother use to say Hugs Sue
  11. Hi Danelle So sorry your son has to get through his senior year this way. I am taking 60mg of celexa right now as well. I started about 7 months ago. I thought it was a little too much at first as well but it doesn't seem to be. and I also see Dr. Grubb Good luck Hugs Sue
  12. Saw my neice yesterday thought I'd share.... They transferred my neice to a hospital that specializes in therapy for people with multiple injuries. She has had two surgeries now, at the moment she has a total of 54 plates, screws, and rods. These are basically in her right leg and knee. In her arm they had to implant a rod which connects to another rod on the outside of her arm. She is very self conscious about this device, but it is not a permanent thing. They are thinking she may be in this center for approximately 8 weeks depending on how her progress goes. The rest of her body is badly bruised, cuts and scrapes. Her son and baby are 100% ok. Thank god. Because her injuries are on both sides of her body it is making progress very difficult. Right leg, left arm. She is trying very hard, therapy is intense. They start her off at 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. she gets an hour break for lunch starts back up at 12:00 goes to 4:30, dinner, then bath, visiting hour is 6-8 p.m. then group therapy is at 8:30 basically time to vent. She looks forward to this time. think I would too.. Please keep the prayers coming, they are so appreciated... Thanks for listening Hugs Sue

  15. I am hoping your surgery is over and that your on the way to recovering. Take good care of yourself and let all our thoughts and prayers surround you. Wishing you the best Hugs Sue
  16. I will definately be thinking and praying for your family. It is so hard to watch someone die, my moms best friend did the same thing two years ago. She knew something was wrong and didn't go to the doctor til she was down 90 pounds, couldn't eat, was turning yellow, the whole nine yards. Of course she had cancer, too late for treatment, and nothing anyone could do but watch. I feel for you, I know it is hard. Take care of yourself and be careful on the road. PS. They really shouldn't have been using much less snooping on your fathers computer without permission, shame on them... Hugs Sue
  17. My neice Rhonda and two children, Jeffrey 5, Stephanie infant, were just in a horrific car accident. My neice had to be air lifted to another hospital after being cut out of the car with the "jaws of life", two children sent to local hospital with minor cuts and bruises. A trailer somehow got unattached from his hitch and hit her head on. Her car is totalled, my brother said only by the grace of god did any of them survive. this is really hard to write. At the moment my neice is in surgery, what I know right now is they had to give her an immediate blood transfusion, her right leg is shattered, the knee collapsing. They are removing the emergency brake from her left left, we were told it wrapped itself around her leg. Her right arm and hand are smashed. She popped an air way, which I'm not quite sure what that means. Maybe something with her lungs?? They live quite a ways from us so my brother is keeping in contact with us until she is stable and then we will be leaving to go up north. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, I appreciate it so much. Hugs Sue
  18. Hi everyone!! After my nephews baptism we went to my neices for brunch. Whenever we have a family get together I usually sit on the floor. One I feel safer, two I love to play with the kids anyway Well after we ate we proceeded outside on the patio. So I sat with my little neice Quynn, she is 3 by her outside playset next to the patio where everyone else is. Before I knew it I was swarmed with little ones wanting to know what to play!!! My neice says "This is Dewey (she can't say Aunt Susie) lets play garden. and Dewey your the best flower in it and your my faorite!!! so my sister overheard this and asked her why I was her favorite. and she says because I always sit with the kids and don't ignore them!!! I thought it was beautiful. (and might have woke up a few people!!) So my lesson to myself is. You never know what impact you have on someone else, even a child. A year ago I would have just passed on this occassion. Opting to stay home worrying about when, where I was going to be sick again. No more I'll just keep my spot on the floor Hugs Sue
  19. Beth How odd I never would have put the two together. I have had a lot of dental issues lately including an infection in my gums. I'm wondering if the two could be connected??? I still haven't quit taking the Florinef, too chicken. Am going to start on Monday. Going to try and go to church tomorrow, my nephew is being baptized and my two children are his godparents Hugs Sue
  20. Another option, but I am not sure with his recent illness how much he is doing this. I see Dr. Grubb once a year, out of pocket. Imbetween I see my primary care physician. She talks to him constantly as well as writes my prescriptions and orders my tests so that my insurance does cover it. From there Dr. Grubb controls my treatment just through my primary. Just a thought.. Good luck Sue
  21. Saw Dr. Grubb on Tuesday/26th of July First of all he looks awesome!! Almost back to his old self, a little on the frail side though (my opinion) He is seeing patients on Tuesday and Thursday, but of course that puts him way behind. My apt was at 1:00 I didn't see him til 5:00 !!! Definately bring something to do if you have an appointment!!! Plus they will page you if you want to visit the cafeteria or gift shop... Question, my blood pressure is climbing again, so we are going to be weaning off half my dosage of florinef. Am a little worried about side effects so looking to see if anyone has cut their dosage as to what happened or if you can give me advice, know everyone is different but want to be prepared Anything appreciated... Hope everyone is doing ok Hugs, Sue
  22. yes definately sounds like what happens to me but my longest recovery times has actually been months. seems like once I have a bad occurance I can't get myself back to normal, or my normal anyway
  23. My best advice is the laundry basket!! I try to clean a room a day, so what ever is being cleaned the day is where the laundry basket is. All the clutter, etc that isn't suppose to be there goes in the basket. When everyone gets home, they have to either get there stuff out of the basket and put it away, or throw it away!! Just make sure the basket gets emptied at night, or you'll start out with a full basket Take care Sue
  24. Hi everyone, I am seeing Dr. Grubb on Tuesday, July 26th just wondering if anyone else will be there the same day. My appointment is at 1:00, and would love to meet anyone if there are going to be there!!! ((Hugs)) Sue
