    Working Out

Day two wasn't as easy as day one but still ambitious. Skipping tomorrow, and going back on Saturday!! My daughter Kelly goes with me, so I have someone right by me at all times and they actually have a first aid station right on the floor!! I think thats what impressed me. If you have any kind of health problem, you actually sign in when you get there.. Will see what happens ((Hugs)) Sie
  2. Hi Amber, Last year I tried a dentist that puts you under to do dental work. I had 1 molar pulled out, two cavities filled, and had my teeth cleaned. I believe they called it a "twilight" I was out, but not completely. I also have to take antibiotics an hour before, and slept two days after But worked out in the long run for myself.. Hope that helps ((Hugs)) Sue
  3. Wow I'm excited, for now anyway My daughter Kelly and I joined a gym this morning. Since closing our pool a month ago I've gained ten pounds, that I don't already need and more on the way I'm sure if I don't find something to do. So we went to a new gym that opened up by our house, got a trainer and everything!!! Explained to him what I have, what happens, etc. So we are starting out on the senior / pregnant woman plan So I excercised, (on the so called baby machines my daughter called them), nice and slow, just taking my time, and I was ok!! afterwards we swam, that felt good. I love the water.. Its my total escape, I don't know what it is but when in the water everything is lifted. I have a little bit of a hard time when I get out, but that usually passes. I am extremely tired right now. But am committed to try and do this every other day, or at least 3 days week. Does anyone else excercise regularly?? Has it helped you?? Any advice for me?? thanks ((Hugs)) Sue
  4. Happy Belated Birthday!! hope you are feeling better!! ((Hugs)) Sue
  5. Unfortunately my advice isn't the best, I live on Motrin 800's and have for the last at least ten years, my headaches come and go, but when they come it doesn't matter what I take I get no relief.. Nauseau, dry crackers. ((Hugs)) Sue
  6. Just wanted to thank everyone for caring about Kelly, and to let you know things have finally turned around. She has been on the steroids for a couple of weeks now, the infection is gone and the blood vessels are where they are suppose to be. According to her doctor she is very lucky she had no vision loss with this. If we would have gone in any later than what we did, the outcome would have been very different. She can now only wear her contacts 6 - 8 hours a day. She isn't very happy with that but will learn to make sacrifices. She goes to college almost 6 hours in the morning, and then goes to work. Why she doesn't want anyone to see her in her glasses is besides me. To be a teenager again!! Love to all of you and thank you ((Hugs)) Sue
  7. Hey I'm from Michigan, Kalamazoo is 2 1/2 hours across the State from where I live. When are you coming?Make sure you bring warm clothes, summer is over here and it gets pretty cold and fast ((hugs)) Sue
  8. Hi everyone!! Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts, it means alot to me and my family. We went to the doctors this afternoon, the blood vessels are now forming in both eyes. Her Opt. has not yet determined why her eyes are doing this. We go back on Thursday... From there he will determine our next step, there may be some surgery but we are keeping optimistic that we won't have to go there. So for now, we're staying on the same medication and she has to rest her eyes as much as possible. Again thanks ((Hugs)) Sue
  9. I am so sorry to hear your news I lost a baby some years ago, the best advice I can give you is to let yourself grieve..Take care of yourself and know all things even those we don't understand happen for a reason. Your in my prayers ((Hugs)) Sue
  10. Hi everyone This afternoon my daughter Kelly came home from classes, she's 19 and legally blind in her left eye, her right eye was red and swollen, so we immediately called her eye doctor and got her in. Kelly has numerous bouts of congectivitis (spelt wrong I am sure) but now the infection has gone into her cornea and abnormal blood vessels are forming. She is on a very strong medicine and the next 24 hours are critical as far as her sight is concerned. I am very worried and trying hard to stay strong for her. I'm asking for your positive thoughts and prayers, thanks so much ((Hugs)) Sue
  11. how are things going now its been a couple of weeks?? ((Hugs)) Sue
  12. Just thought I'd share this.. and don't know why I never did.............. Probley five years ago now, while at my primary care doctor I was major venting about having this disease and how nobody understands. She had me start writing letters to my NCS. Sounds kind of dumb but it works... At first I would write little things here and there and just throw them away. But now this is how I get everything out. I am very symptomatic, so any little stress factor throws me off. So when I'm mad for being sick, feeling sorry for myself, stressed out with family, etc. I get on my computer and go nuts. (and even get to say things I usually would not) and then DELETE!!! Try it, it helps ONLY I CANNOT SHARE MY LETTERS THEY ARE NOT NICE ((Hugs)) Sue

    Nasty Cold!!

I have managed to keep my butt out of the hospital, still not feeling so hot. I tried to take some vitamins, thought they would help, an everday with additional B for energy and folic acid. I don't know if its possible but I feel way loopy with these. Could that be possible?? I didn't know if vitamins could have side effects?? the bottle doesn't say anything. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm thanks for any insight Sue oops...........................forgot the ((Hugs))

    Nasty Cold!!

Just back from the doctor, if not any better by tomorrow she wants to put me in the hospital for a few days, a little worried about the congestion in my chest. Always something. I'm going for my jamies, blanket, and my dog. Going to the couch and watching movies for the afternoon. Thanks for the well wishes ((Hugs)) Sie
  18. I pray that you stay strong and courageous in your fight.. ((Hugs)) Sue
  19. OMG I need some relief!! I have been fighting with this cold for a week now!! Coughing, hacking, gaging, running nose, pressure, headache, everything hurts Can;t even sleep, somehow it gets worse when I lay down. My primary gave me two 'scripts but made me too tachy, can't handle that!!! Did call Grubbs office, but they haven't called back. Know they are too busy for these little things. Anybody take anything that doesn't affect your symptoms too much??? Please let me know ((Hugs)) ahhhh not too close, too germy right now Sue
  20. How exciting for you and your family!! Best wishes!! ((Hugs)) Sue
  21. Our cocker barked quite a bit when we first moved, (a year ago), new house, new surroundings, different noises. Your little guy is going from his little cage to your house, which is probley like a mansion to him Anyway our dogs sleep in our room so we just kept the door shut for a couple of weeks, lessoning the noise a little and kept them in one place. when they would bark we would just let them know everything is ok. I even put dog treats under my pillow when going to bed because our cocker is very skiddish and would pace before laying down. This way he got tired of waiting for it and fell asleep!! Another thought, if your dog was at the shelter for a while, he may actually miss his cage. Both of our dogs were kennel trained. You may want to try and put him in his kennel for the night with a blanket or fav. toy?? We keep them in the basement, our cocker isn't thrilled with his, but our lab doesn't like when we have a lot of company and naps during the day in his!!! Good luck ((Hugs)) Sue
  22. I am so happy for you. I love my boys!! (Bandit, cocker spaniel Buddy, big yellow lab) I can't walk them very much either, but I do sit in the backyard and play catch with them!! Great excercise and they love it!! they also love to be brushed out, love the extra attention Enjoy him as I'm sure he will enjoy you and your husband!! ((Hugs)) Sue
  23. Melissa, Glad to see you are starting to move around the fishbowl!! I too have had more bad experiences at the hospital than good. Now my husband will not leave my side when I have to go. If they tell him to leave the room he always says its my right to have him there and he's not leaving!! Hope you keep feeling better Sue
  24. Can't tell you how happy this makes me. My husband has health insurance through his work, they just did some adjusting with some of their benefits so at my last visit I asked Sherry if they could try and put it through.. Today I got a letter from the office!!!! I owe them $10.00 for my co-pay!! This makes my day I will tease Grubb next time about the last five years! Have a great day!! ((Hugs)) Sue
