  1. WOW I wish I got the reaction you are getting. I gained a tremendous amount of weight on Lexapro and are still trying to get rid of it. Funny how medication reacts in everyone differently. I wish you the best of luck though with it. Sue
  2. Hi Danelle, I too was hoping not seeing you posting meant you were having a "good spell" am so sorry to hear that you are not. I can only tell you from my own experience, which has been basically almost this whole year. All you can really do is focus on yourself. It sounds like you have a great family and support system so give yourself time to heal. Getting stressed does nothing but makes our systems worse. I now take everyday, one day at a time. I decide what I am going to do that day and never before!!! My family and friends have all been great now that they understand what is going on with this illness. Not that they totally understand but they now have seen me at my worse and can't believe how helpless we can be. I no longer stress on having the "perfectly cleaned house" I am a neat FREAK!!! If a room is dirty, I shut the door. Another thing I really cringed at was letting my friends and family help out. I now not only let them help when they offer but call them on bad days to ask for favors. FRIENDS really mean it when they offer themselves to help out... I have just always been a giver not a taker. Hmmm time to change. Your in prayers, hope better days are coming ((((((((((((((((((((Danelle))))))))))))))))) Sue
  3. Hi everyone I just finished talking to Shari at Dr. Grubbs office. Yes Dr. Grubb did have surgery on his neck and the surgery went very well. The doctors wear lead jackets in research causing some pressing on vertebraes which led to numbness on his left side. He did try therapy but the damage was too far gone. He will be out of the office to recuperate but Shari assured me he is coming back.. The address to send cards to Dr. Grubb is: Medical College of Ohio Attn: Cardiology/Dr. Blair Grubb 3000 Arlington Avenue Toledo, Ohio 43614-2598 He has been such a relief with my illness he is definately in my prayers!! Sue
  4. Does anyone know about Dr. Grubb having surgery??? Please let us know Thanks Sue

  6. Congratulations Jess!! I am so happy for you!!! Check into whatever alternative insurances you can as soon as possible. My sister had insurance that didn't cover her maternity and was eligible for insurance through the state that covered her prenatal visits. I know you live in Florida so wouldn't be the same as Michigan but check into the government agencies!!! Again, Sue

  17. Hi Jess!! Just want to stick my two sense in here. If you are feeling "well" I really think I would leave your meds alone. I can't tell you how many times I thought I was feeling well enuf to reduce my meds too. EVERY TIME, I crash. I would hate to see that happened to you or anyone for that matters. We need to realize our bodies need these meds to make us feel better then we would without them. Sorry to pry. Sue
  18. I'm with Opus. I cannot meditate no matter how many times I have tried. The quieter I get the little munchkins in my brain go to town!!! I find doing things like you mentioned more relaxing. My house is super organized. My family hates it.
  19. Hi Michelle!! Absolutely don't mind hosting this at my house. Who says I clean anyway!! lol No honestly, and husband is 100% supportive. Unless you think it may be too far out of the way. My thoughts are basically just being more comfortable and being to able to relax. There are several restaurants around here for carryouts and I am right off I-94 and I-696. Just let me know Sue
  20. WOW awesome ideas!! I can always count on you guys!! Seeing some of my family this afternoon. My sisters like the star idea, myself I can't decide. But the five of us are going in together so we shall see. Thanks Merrill for the thumbs up. This year has been majorly sh--y, but I am getting around much better. Thanks Sue
  21. That is funny you have brought up "Iron Chef" My daughter Kelly is starting college next year. She is going culinary arts!! Her ultimate goal is to be on Iron Chef. I am going to show her pictures when she gets home this morning, she will be so jealous!!!!
  22. I live in Roseville and wouldn't even mind if you would like to do this at my house. I am about 40-45 mins from Ann Arbor. That way we don't have to worry about getting kicked out of a restaurant lol Sue
  23. Hi, Eric is 30 this year!! His mom and dad are awesome. They are throwing a party at a hall!! Having dinner, dj, dancing, the whole nine yards. We are all very excited about this. Always wonderful to have family get together when its a good thing vs the bad. So looking forward to this. Its also our wedding anniversary. and I am feeling half way decent. All is good for the moment Any ideas would be appreciated!! Sue
  24. I thought this would be a great place to come with this. My cousin Eric is celebrating his fifth year being cancer free!! Five years ago we didn't think he was going to make it through the year. But with lots of prayers and positive thinking and thoughts he made it through. His family is throwing a party and even though they have requested no gifts I would love to give Eric something special. My dilemma of course, is I can't think of anything!!! Can anyone give me an idea, I appreciate it Love Sue
  25. I questioned my "new" neurologist on this issue just recently. They use your weight and height basically to check on your dosage of medications. and if your weight fluctuates they need to keep on top of this. So I was told....... Sue
