  1. I too am a amusement ride junkie. Cedar Pointe favorite family vacation. We still go twice a year, but I don't touch the rides. I'm lucky if I can walk the park through once with my husband. I mostly feel like I just got off a ride anyway so why bother Anyway if you choose to try, HAVE FUN!!!!!!! Sue

  3. Feeling majorly blessed this morning. My son Stephen has just returned from a ten day school trip from London..... Makes me absolutely sick what is happening there. I know he is home and safe but makes me sad and angered that anyones life is in danger at any moment anywhere So many innocent lives have been affected this morning. Sorry to have vented here but needed some where to go. Have a blessed day Sue
  4. Hi everyone. We are all suffering bad colds in my house right now. Scratchy itchy throat, headache, runny nose. Can anyone suggest a cold med I can take???? I called Grubbs office but had to leave a message on the nurse line, could take forever before they call back.. thanks Sue
  5. Hi, I too have had bladder problems for years now with NCS, I have had two surgeries which have done nothing to help. Including a pacer like device that was installed in my bladder but later taken out because it didn't work and was very uncomfortable, even though the doctor didn't believe me that I could feel it... The only thing that seems to help "a little" is after urinating, bend your body over between your legs for a few seconds, I always seem to release "ALOT" more urine and helps with the frequency of running to the bathroom. and of course kegal excercises. Hope this helps Sue

He went with his International Club from High School. 30 kids, two teachers and two chaperones. The pictures he has emailed are beautiful!!!! Have a wonderful trip and enjoy yourself!! Sue
  9. Dear Jan I am so sorry to hear about your husband, please wrap yourself in the prayers you are receiving and be strong for both yourself and your husband. We have had alot of cancer survivors in my family, both young and old so please keep a positive outlook!!! I will keep you in my prayers and will add your husband to my personal email prayer chain. Hugs Sue
  10. I just had an echogram done on Tuesday, showed my valve was flattening, pointing a possibility towards mitro valve prolapse. Does anyone have this. Doing some research on my own, but does this contribute to our already symptoms?? Thanks Sue
  11. I agree with Nina, don't shut the door!!! You've hit rock bottom, now just climb back up I know easier said then done, but we've all been there. Climb a little at a time and know were here backing you up. Take care Sue
  12. My greatest accomplishment since being diagnosed with NCS was the other night at my daughter Kellys graduation!!!! It was 97 degrees outside, graduation was held inside the expo/college building with no AIR CONDITIONING!!!! My husband and I got there early so we could find a somewhat comfortable area but came loaded with water, hand held fans, cooler with frozen ice packs and of course good old gatorade. I made it through the night but not everyone was so lucky. Quite a few passer outers!!! But I had my mind made up I was not going to miss this. Now I am resting and getting for the next accomplishment. Her graduation party! Wish me luck, though I am having it at home and have lots of help Hope all are doing good!! Sue

  18. Hi!! Talk about scary!! I went to the store the other day with my son, we were only in the store for a few minutes. He went to go get the car and left me at the front of the store to wait for him. It only took him a few seconds to go get the car, but in the moment I found myself scared to death, didn't know where I was, what I was doing or who I was waiting for?? When my son pulled up he said I had such a dumbfounded look on my face he got out of the car to get me. As fast as it happened it was gone!!!!!!! Has this ever happened to anyone???? Sue
  19. Ditto here, I keep calling and can't even get through. The problem is trying to find a compentant doctor who knows what they are doing. I am already screwed up and don't need to be screwed anymore. Can anyone update us on his condition?? Thanks Sue
  20. Hi Susie I too quit driving a year ago. Only in rare situations will I even get behind the wheel. I am lucky I am in a big family and don't really have a problem if I need to get somewhere. best wishes Sue
  21. Hi everyone!! Its been a long four weeks here. We have sold our home and are in a new home with my parents. We are hoping this situation will help evryone. My father is paralyzed from a stroke and my mom is having hip surgery in two weeks and could hardly take care of my dad. We didn't want to put them in a nursing home so since I don't work we decided this would be our best bet. This way we can all just help each other. Amazingly enuf my dads spirits helps us all the best. He lays in that bed. Unable to move yet has a smile and something positive to say no matter what mood your in. He doesn't want much, just his coffee and a little conversation through out the day. Can you imagine?? I no longer feel sorry for myself as I have the last couple of years. But that doesn't make my symptoms any less. Lately I get this weird feeling like someone just sucked the blood out of me. It knocks me to the floor and takes several hours to get through this. Anyone else have this??? I am seeing a new doctor tomorrow. They have opened up a Cardiac/Electophysiologist in my area and I am game for anything. I usually see Grubb but haven't been able to reschedule my appointment since his illness. Am hoping she may have some new ideas.... I also haven't been able to get rid of any of the weight I gained on Lexapro. Anyone following any kind of diet you'd like to share??? Thanks Sue
  22. Ernie, We are in the process of checking out the "electric scooter" for my dad. So far we have been told his insurance will cover it if his doctor will sign off saying his life will be an improvement with this device. Supposedly it is quite transferable, but that I am not sure of. Right now he has a wheelchair but it is an old model and very awkward to even try and put it in the truck for his office visits. We thought of having his doctor coming to the house, but that is his only out right now and don't want to take that away from him. I had an 1-800 number, I will find it if you think that is something you think you may be interested in looking into. Sue
