  1. Green tea doesn't help or hurt me, and I drink it every day.
  2. You sure there won't be any problems? If this is true, I should maybe go for my license. I just figured I would be prohibited from driving.
  3. The sun definitely worsens symptoms for me. I think that it's probably due to the fact that it's harder to function normally under intense heat, and the effects are just amplified by the POTS.
  4. Definitely made me smile. Hang in there - nearly no one has a capable doctor for this. Just keep pushing for answers.
  5. No luck on finding any turmeric at the local pharmacy...I'll keep looking. I want to try it.
  6. I am a young dude, and trust me, relationships are beyond tough. It really isn't worth the effort, to be honest.
  7. Thanks for the update! Everything will fall back into place, don't worry. What about them!?!?!
  8. You should just have fun. Try not to let your dysautonomia hinder you - just don't go TOO crazy.
  9. Your heart rate is out of control. (Possible palpitations) You might need to buy a heart rate monitor if it is very bad. Be very careful when changing positions - it should reduce its impact.
  10. I'd love to get a copy when it's out.
  11. Yeah - I get them. I often feel overheated - I'm getting that feeling that right now actually - that's why I'm up. They pass VERY quickly for me, within a matter of hours. Usually its when I'm in a stuffy room or when the lighting is bothering me, or when I havent eaten or have just done something strenuous. Usually there is some sort of trigger, but sometimes there just isn't. It's a real pain.
  12. Glad to know you're at least home. My thoughts are with you.
  13. I've had no reaction to prednisone...sorry...
  14. I think males are less likely to come onto message boards...but I heard (somewhere) that it is more common in females...
  15. Thank you so much everyone....gonna make me cry now.
  16. LOL - cold air actually helps me. I often get up in the morning and (try to) take a walk in the cold morning air. It wakes me up and makes me feel better. Sorry, I guess that didn't help you out.
  17. THank you!!! I'm starting to feel better on the meds I think. Either that or I have just gotten through a really rough stage in my life. On a bad note, my POTS has been much worse. (I can't win... )
  18. A time on weekends would be nice, as I am at school. However, as long as it isnt before 1 on weekdays I should make it. (I'm going to buy a webcam I think)
  19. Do I agree that we are able to control our own destinies to a certain point? Sure. Do I think that a god of some sort put us down here and we have no control over anything? Of course not. To relate these arguments to how we here got sick is positively absurd. It just doesn't make any sense, and to suggest that we are to blame for becoming sick in any sort of way is childish. There is no correlation between our illnesses and your theories. None whatsoever.
  20. Exactly the same. I feel I'm going blind it's gotten so bad at this point. It's grown into a huge problem for me, and as far as I know theres no treatment. All I know is it isn't eye related, I've been checked by opthamalogists up and down. It's either neurological, or is a lack of proper blood flow to the eye. My guess is neurological. (Which means that antidepressants are really the only thing with a chance of fixing it - but I've been on like every antidepressant known to man - none help.) So basically - we're screwed on this one.
  21. I used to believe in this. Mentally - sort of. We may be attracted to certain people because of the way we are and by looking for a specific type of person. But that isn't some supernatural thing. That can be explained away logically. Rergardless, in the grand scheme of things, we control practically nothing. We are passengers in this existence, not drivers. However, to suggest that we brought on POTS by willing it upon ourselves is offensive AND retarded.
  22. That blows. Hope you didn't miss the ending of the game - it was brutal.
  23. Reason I ask is because mine is definitely weaker. I seem to have strep like every two seconds, and am often sick to the stomach (just leave it at that). Wounds don't heal nearly at all they can get infected like its nothing - not to mention the awful bruising that doesnt go away for weeks. I think with POTS, the body is preoccupied with other things, and lets more germs and viruses through, and doesn't heal as well. Just a thought....
  24. "I don't believe I have adequate medication and treatment." I really haven't explored all options yet, so I put that one down. I could have voted the "I'm not able to do jack sh*t anymore" category just as easily...
  25. Probably the only thing that can really pick me up consistently is my music - obviously less headbanging involved with POTS, but its w/e.
