  1. Now that I am better-tired all the time, aches, dizzy after being upright too long. In the beginning-extreme nausea, dizziness, muscle jerks, so weak. This all caused me to be in bed. Could barely make it to the bathroom.
  2. Going backward is so hard to take with vertigo and nausea, which are the worst. Sooo sorry for your misery, can you go back to the smokes? My body does not like anything, the doctor tricked it with the smallest does ever. HUGS and more HUGS!
  3. My heart goes out to you. Feeling bad gets so tiresome. Glad you have DR. Grubb and Beverly. Blessings to you and your family.
  4. Nausea is so awful. This was with me for 10 to 15 years. I could not move some of the time, because it made it worse. Klonopin started very slowly helped so much. Hope this helps! Hugs!
  5. Thank you for making the list. I can't wait to see the new doctors!
  6. We do cry more than we should have to, but I hope and pray that you meet that doctor who will make you feel good, and understand this illness. HUGS and more HUGS!
  7. Washing clothes is hard on the best of us. Sorry your having this problem.
  8. This illness is so cruel, but I know you will get better. We all grieve because of the pain of not being the person we want to be. I was so sick in bed for years that I dreamed about being out of this world most of the time. Then finally the doctor's office called for an appointment. Four years later I was driving again, not nauseated, not dizzy , had. energy, and many more symptoms were GONE. THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS ILLNESS IS THAT WE CAN GET BETTER. HOPE YOU HAVE A BETTER DAY VERY VERY SOON!! HUGS and HUGS!! Love, Mary
  9. I wish that doctors could feel what it is like to be in our body for a week . They would be screeming to get out! This is a horrible life changing illness that would take the strongest to their knees. There is always hope that we can get better, but it takes so much patients. It is always just waiting for us to make the wrong move, like stay in any kind of heat too long, stand, even set, move around too much, even lying sometimes you stay dizzy for hours or longer, get too cold, exercise and etc. this list can go on and on. Love you all!
  10. 1986 was the year that I started looking for a doctor to help me. 2002 was the year i found the best doctor on earth. I was better 4 years later. 2011 still sick but grateful to have a diagnosis. The knowlege that doctors have now is a blessing for all of us.
  11. Is Dr. Grubb your doctor. He is mine and my daughter's. If you don't mind, I would like to know the name of your great doctor. Hope you are having a good day.

  12. Cruel is sooo true!!! I have thought this many times. Someday we will get the respect that this illness deserves !!! I care, Mary
  13. Hi! Hope you are having one of those better days.

  14. I feel that the inner ear dysfunction is caused by dysautonomia. The lack of blood flow to the inner ear. If I am on my feet too much,I will wake in the night with severe vertigo and can lay in only one position for many, many hours and total exhaustion follows for about two or three days. The sensitivity to lights and sounds got better as the POTS improved. This illness has been with me for 30 years with many ups and downs. Blessings to all! Mary
  15. Soooo Happy for You!!! Enjoy!!! Blessings, Mary
  16. Bella, you are a very special person. You have touch my heart sooo many times. My prayers are with both of you and everyone that has been affected by this sad news. I think of you often and wonder how you are doing. Love you, Mary
  17. My daughter and I have it, but there is something much more severe about my dys. Dr. Grubb is not certain about mine yet. Bessings to all!
  18. This test was my saving grace. Finally a test to explain why I had been sooo sick for sooo long. It is an easy test and will help the doctor's know what meds. to give you. I kept my regular clothes on and stayed upright for almost 3 minutes. Try not to worry, it is not too bad.
  19. Hope he can get relief soon!!!! If it had not been for peppermint candy, with the oil, I don't know what I would have done. Nausea was with me for so many years. I could not move in any way without starting the nausea, just laying, was my relief. Finally after a diagnosis, Klonopin eventually helped a great deal. Medications had to be very slowly added, because of the sensitivity. I hope and pray that he gets better soon. Nausea is usually the low blood pressure, but I have been told that everybody is different, but at the same time, alike. As we get better, so due most of the symptoms. Dizziness and fatigue are still with me, when I am too active. Your son is very young, so he has a reason for a lot of HOPE.
  20. HOPE yOU HAD A GREAT BIRTHDAY FRIEND!!!!
  21. Many HUGS!! Sorry that you are in such a low place. We need to grieve along the way with this illness. Many years ago there wasn't support groups for dys. so I decided to write letters to dizzy patients. In my darkest hours, writing took my mind to a better place. There was many friends made and a few with dys., that was searching for answers. Hope you can get to that better place soon. Bless you, Mary
