  1. Hi, I can't imagine how it feels to have to wait 20-30 min to urinate. I get aggravated if it takes more than 2 minutes, LOL. Does this happen just in the am? I too recently had a UTI or a Bladder Infection, I forget what, but I didn't have much pain at all, but I was put on Cipro, and that of course made me sick. It takes alot of convincing for my doctors to get me to take meds, took many trips to the ER to take my Toprol...Anyhow, i hope you find a solution to what's going on. It's always a good idea to get things like this checked out. Jacquie
  2. Hi, I can relate. It's funny that you mention 65 degrees because if the heat is over that I get very symptomatic. I'm not sure if I sweat or if I just get really hot....come to think of it I don't ever feel sweaty just very hot and flushed skin. I guess 65 is the lucky number for us! Jacquie
  3. Yup Morgan, after shopping yesterday I could barely make it out of bed today. The whole day I felt like I was going to pass out. I have a Christmas party to go to tomorrow then one on Sunday. I hope I have atleast one "good day" out of the two.
  4. Hi, you can go to www.LLbean.com and you can look at their stuff online. At the bottom of Nina's posts it says that LL bean offers some of it's profit to DINET (unless I read wrong ) It's funny that I get bouts of being really hot and then all of a sudden my feet hands and nose are icicles. I feel like I am having hot flashes!!! Anyhow, time to check out LL Bean's website! Jacquie *Marie, how do you make your own rice pads???
  5. Thanks for the info guys...where could I buy something like this?
  6. Hi guys, I am hoping someone here could help me out on this one. In the winter and throughout most of the year my feet are always ice cold. I have been wearing 2 pair of thick socks a day but my feet still freeze. My friend told me about some sock-type things her friend has. She said there is a rice thing in them that she heats up in the microwave and it keeps her feet warm. Anyone know what this is?? I sure would like to get a pair from Santa this year Jacquie
  7. Morgan, I hope you find something to comfort your back problems. Do you think a heating pad set on low would somehow help?? I hope your chloe's test results are negative, she is waaay to young to be sick like that. It's christmas time, so maybe she could be this years christmas miracle! Jacquie
  8. I'm so sorry about your brother. I am going to keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers. Jacquie
  9. Everyone here on the board has given you excellent advice. I agree with everything that has been posted. I wish there was something I could do or say to take away the pain and suffering people here have been going through. I know the holidays are the worst for me, and alot of the times I get upset over the little things I can't do anymore. I hope you find a doctor along with a treatment that helps you. No matter what we are always here for you on the forum, so don't ever feel alone.... I hope by the time you get this you are feeling better! Jacquie
  10. I haven't been "officially" diagnosed with CFS. I have remembered being tired for many years. When I was in high school I'd barely make it through school and then sleep until the next morning. Everyone in my family said I was lazy, but I really couldn't help it. Maybe I have had this POTS thing for longer than they think?? I don't know Jacquie
  11. Hi and welcome to the forum ! I do get the same symptoms you have and find that mornings are often worse for me. I strongly advise you to see a doctor to get checked out. There are certain things you should get ruled out such as arrhythmias, etc. since some can be very serious and others are just a pain to deal with. Also, you want to find some treatment that works for you so you can feel better! Take care and keep us updated. Jacquie
  12. Why do I get so tired after going out for an hour or so? Today I went to the store for maybe about 45 min, which has been the longest I have been able to go for the past few years!!!!!! However, now I am ready for bed, I am soo tired and can barely keep my eyes open. I take Toprol which does cause fatigue, I dont think the fatigue is as bad as it was before, but how come little activities make me want to sleep for days????
  13. Hi I had actually posted something similar to this. However, when I start to fall asleep then "jerk" awake my heart rate soars and I suffer from palps. No clue what it is though. It's almost like my heart is skipping beats or soemthing like that.
  14. Hi Nina, I always have a hard time falling asleep sometimes, but most of the time it's staying awake that I have a hard time with!!! Usually I just watch some TV and w/i time I dose off. The night before I had my rotational chair test I didnt go to bed until 230am (couldnt sleep) then I had to bring my sister to work at 530am so that def. wasn't a good nights sleep. Hope you got to sleep at some point. Jacquie
  15. Hi, I was given 1 Ativan to take, which did nothing, so I had to reschedule and go back when a nurse would be in there. I was given 3 Ativan tablets, 2 were differ. strengths and I drifted off to sleep during my MRI, that's the only way I can do it.
  16. Bad news is never something anyone wants to hear esp. around the holidays. I am going to say a prayer for you and your family. Jacquie
  17. The EMT/Medics are the ones who give me the best treatment. Usually by the time I get to the hospital the rhythm has gone back to normal. My cardio wanted to start me on Flecainide but after ready all the warnings I decided against it, but the Toprol has helped, not all the time, but I am def having alot less attacks. I remember when I first got sick in 2003 I was rushed to the hospital and given Ativan and told to go home I was having a panic attack. I would go to the hospital atleast 1 or 2 times a week, then seeing all the IV marks I was contiinuously accused of doing some sort of drugs, and I have never even touch any. Worse was that my PCP said I had anxiety probs...Finally my doc was on vacation and I was told by the ER to follow up with my PCP, so I went to see the doc covering for him, got a Heart Monitor and found my arrhythmia. Jacquie
  18. Hi Morgan, did you hear anything back yet???
  19. So, I completed the whole rotational chair test today. I had to stop once, but considering last time I only made it for 30 seconds I did good!!! Hopefully they can figure out what is going on inside my head . The neuro doesn't want to do too much until he figures out whether the POTS or vest. hypofunction are causing all the vertigo, etc. Silly me forgot to find out when the results would be ready, but I am having a copy sent to me. I am just sooo happy I made it through!!!!!! Jacquie
  20. Hi, I'm sure someone here on the board has had shortness of breath and been very thirsty at the same time. What is this and what can I do to help? Feel like I have been running a marathon! Jacquie
  21. Hi, I also have both. Anyhow, good luck on your hearing, let us know how you make out. Jacquie
  22. So today I had to run to the store...little did I know I would walk into something, the weird part was, was that I was trying to not hit it, but it felt like there was nothing I could do, I thought I had moved enough out of the way. It's hard to describe, guess it's just the dizziness. I did feel embarressed though, I'm sure ppl thought I was either a drunk or clutz
  23. Oh I'm so glad to hear you made it..even though you just barely made it. I hope you get lots of help @ Vandy. Keep hydrated and get lots of rest. Keep us updated as much as you can. Your in my thoughts! Jacquie
