Hey jess, Gabby is doing well. She is 6 months old now but she isnt gaining weight like the doctor wants her to (she is only 12lb 10oz) and she has a heart murmer so off to the cardiologist on tuesday. She is a very happy baby. She sleeps about 10 hours at night without waking up which is a godsend. I am back at work full time and back in school. It is hard but I am feeling pretty good. I am glad that you are doing well. Cant wait to see new baby pics!

Hi jessica, hadnt heard from you in a while. Just wanted to make sure you and new baby were doing well. Im sure you are tired, but I hope you are feeling ok otherwise and that the baby is doing well.

My doctor has tried to ween me off before and I didnt do well. He took me down to one tablet every other day and I started getting tachy again. The then had me alternate one tablet, one half tablet every other day. I didnt do so hot on that either. So I still take one tablet a day. He says he would like me to try and ween off of it again, but I am kind of scared. I hope that everything goes well for you. Remember to stay very hydrated.

I didnt have any problems with labor and delivery. Everything went very smoothly and my daughter was born without any problems. I hope that everything goes well for you. Do you know if it is a boy or a girl? Congrats!

I have nausea too. I feel sick, dont eat and everything goes down hill from there. My bp drops and I start feeling really bad. Usually when I feel nauseous I make myself eat something really salty.

I am not taking a beta blocker, only florinef and I have days when I cannot get enough to drink too. I am not diabetic though. I always thought it was just a POTs symptom. Kind of a way for my body to warn me that I was getting dehydrated and that my bp was low. When this happens I never want soda or plain water...only gatorade or flavored water.

I have had a similar thing happen to me. I was awake and I was shaking all over like I was shivering, but I wasnt cold. I went to the er and I was severly dehydrated. I would definately call a dr if you are uncertain or if these are new symptoms.

I am very OCD so I clean almost every day...I hate clutter. I have to pick up before I can go to bed or else I cant sleep. It is much less overwhelming to clean everyday. That way you wont be dealing with a huge mess. I swiffer instead of sweep because it is less strenuous. I also try to get cleaning supplies with longer handles so I dont have to bend down. Clorox has a new bathroom cleaning wand thingy that looks like it might be beneficial, too. As far as easy dinners...I love the crockpot classics. You add water and cook in the crockpot for 6 hours. They are great.

congrats! I have had POTS for 5 years and I have a 4 month old daughter. I saw a regular OBGYN and my pregnancy went smoothly. I was on florinef the whole time and my baby is happy and healthy. Keep us posted!

Hi ling, I was on fludrocortisone (florinef) and an ssri for all 9 months to control my low bp and high heart rate. My daughter was born at 40 weeks. she was 7 lbs 8 oz and 19 1/2 in long. She is perfect in every way! Hope this helps.

Hey Jessica! Great to hear from you! Wow time flew by...I havent been around much either. A four month old can keep you pretty busy. I was not treated as high risk, but I did deliver in a hospital (my own choice). I was on IV fluids and that is it. No epidural or pain meds. My BP was normal throughout my pregnancy. It got a little high during delivery but the dr felt that it was because of the stress of labor. I am glad to hear that you are doing well! Hang in there, you dont have much longer to go

morgan, I am so sorry that you have been through so much. Before I was first diagnosed my mom took me to the er because I was cold to the touch but felt like I was burning up. I was light headed, and felt like I had to pee constantly. The dr there took one look at me and said I had a strep infection in my kindeys with out doing any tests. So of course he put me on antibiotics and sent me home. the next day I was back again. This time this dumb*** dr told me that I had a urinary tract infection and put me on another antibiotic. The second time my hr was well over 140 sitting down and my bp was extreemly low. The nurse actually made a copy of my file to take with us beause she thought the dr was wrong, too! My mom took me to another hospital where I was diagnosed I know that we did not pay for either of those first two hospital bills. My mom called the head of the emergency department he took off all of the charges. In addition, the second dr had to face the diciplinary committee. They were so afraid that we were going to sue them! I hope that everything works out for you. Your dr. will understand if he knows your history. Why does it always seem that if a woman has a problem with shortness of breath and high heart rate that the dr. ASSUMES that it is a panic attack? I will be praying for you!
