  1. Hi and welcome, Everyone is different, I myself haven't tried to work outside of home for almost 3 years. I don't know if I would be ok or not? I guess it woud depend on the job, stress level, and amount of hours put in. Goodluck, Amber
  2. Hi Linda, My heart goes out to you!! I was told that I would never get pregnant, but two children later I proved that doctor wrong. If you want it this bad, don't loose hope. You are young and I hope you will be well enough to have your own children before too long. Adoption is always a great option so maybe that's what your ment to do when your well enough. No matter what happens, I wish you the best. Amber
  3. Good news is always great to hear! Thanks for your positive energy. Amber
  4. GOOD FOR YOU!!!! GREAT WORK! Amber
  5. I didn't mean to make it sound as if it would be a cure. I'm sorry anyone has to have these medical problems...but I know how some of us may have had wishfull thinking so we can get better treatment. Does that make sense? Thanks for the words of caution, I wish we all had a cure to be whole....or at least close. Amber
  6. Hi Cindy, I don't think it's crazy you are hoping for brain surgery. I would love to be "better" anyway they can make me. I understand why you would feel this way. Good luck and wishing you the best with your findings Amber
  7. Hi Maggee, Wanted to welcome you. Good luck finding a doctor. I personally haven't been to any on the list, but they are sopposed to be good. Hope you find what your looking for. Amber
  8. Welcome home! Hope you feel better soon! Amber
  9. The only time I used the motorized carts was when I was pregnant. I kept going into labor if I stood for any length of time (not sure if that could be POTS related) and at the time it was when I first had the POTS symptoms. I felt faint all the time but I had to get my shopping done some how. My husband made me use the cart (didn't want to go back to the ER) and I felt that I needed to too. I had people looking at me but not really saying anything. But the glares said enough. I saw someone I knew as well and her daughter happened to be pregnant too. She told me that her daughter needed to walk around because it was better for her. Can you guess what she ment by that coment? Now I have people look at me as if I'm making it up when I tell them what my symptoms are or if I grab the wall or cart or whatever because I get dizzy spells (I will fall if I don't grab something). Or they tell me " your to young to be feeling like that " Luckkychrm42, You should have just walked away and let them take care of the chair. ( I know too late now) But you can pretend you did. Amber
  10. I feel this way too. I'm usually ok if I lay down on my stomach, but being on my back will make me dizzy everytime. I get really dizzy while standing, but still get dizzy when sitting or laying down. My resting heart rate also tends to be too high. Amber
  11. I'm very sorry your having a bad weekend/day. I hope your day goes by fast so you can get home and rest. Here's to a better day tomarrow Amber
  12. Hi Michelle, Wishing you luck I had one done about 6 years ago and got really sick, but I get sick becuase of everything. Sleep helped and so did taking deep breaths. I find that I can "blow" the sicky feelings away if they aren't too bad. Worththewords - wishing you luck too! Amber
  13. I feel like this most of the time.... Very frustrating and it get's worse when I get a migraine. Which is just about everyday. ~Amber~
  14. Hi Amy, Good for you! I'm glad to hear you still walked (rolled). It doesn't matter how you did it, it's the fact you did it! You deserve the same credit regardless. Wishing you and your family the best, (fingers crossed) Amber

  19. I think I was off the meds for about two weeks. I can't remember for sure though. I think this is the same time they put the third hoilter moniter on. The Hoilter moniter showed helpfull info, but the TTT was negitive. I had the MRI around the same time frame. Can the test be wrong even if I wasn't on the meds for two weeks? Would that be long enough for the meds to wear off? These are my symptoms if anyone has an opinion or knows what other illness that can cause these symptoms I would be greatful. Tachycardia Bloating after meals (not all the time) Lightheadedness Congnitive impairment Dizziness Delayed gastric emptying Palpaitiations IBS Exercise intolerance Tunnel vision (but not bad) Blurred vision Sleep disorders Chest discomfort/pain Numbness and tingling Clamminess Generalized weakness Near fainting Aching neck and shoulders Anxiety Nausea, noise, and light sensitivity Flushing Easily over-stimulated Fatigue Feeling "weird" Migraines Irregular menstrual Blood pooling in limbs muscle aches Intolerance to heat Polydipsia I might have more, but those are the ones that I'm sure on. When I write them down like this, I wonder how I go on day by day. I am living a pretty normal life, but I know if I had to get a real job, I couldn't do it. My kids suffer and I just wish I knew why I feel like this. I'm really clueless at this point. Thanks for you help and your support, if it comes down to me not having POTS, I feel that I can still relate on some level. Amber
  20. Thanks, The last time I seen the doctor, he was stumped as what to do next. I've been tested for everything! TTT, showed a negitive reading. CT scans, MRI, both normal. They tried the strees test (exercise), couldn't complete it because I almost passed out. The readings didn't pick anything up? I did the bubble study, again everything normal. They did the dobutamine stress test next, that too I couldn't finish. I thought I was going to die! I will never do that one again. Don't get me wrong, I'm ok with the tests being normal but I would really like to know what's wrong with me. The doctor is the one who told me it was POTS, but the TTT was negitive. He doesn't specialize in POTS and told me he's not sure what to do. He's done what he can for what he's familar with. Now that doctor is in the hospital and they don't know if he will continue to work if and when he recovers. I so hope he's ok.....I'm going to call and find out. I'll get back to you on the symptoms....I want to make sure I have them written down....too many to remember. Amber
  21. Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone knew what the chance is that I don't have POTS? If the doctors tell you they think you have it but you haven't been dx, then what happens? Have some of you waited years for the dx but knew you had it? My husband cautions me not to get my hopes up. Not to rely so much on this forum. He asks me what I'll do if the doctors find that it's something else and not POTS? I don't know how to answer that question. I have found comfort in all of you and I would hate to lose that. So what do you do? I just want answers. I think of myself as having POTS but maybe I shouldn't. I just don't know what else it could be? I feel like a lab rat and the sad part is that they don't know a whole lot more then they did in the begining. The only thing they have found is the high heart rate? And that took 3 hoilter moniters. They do know that my heart is healthy so I should be thankful for that. Do they really have to draw blood every visit? ( I hate needles and I don't want to get poked anymore ) I know I have to anyway but I don't have to like it. I'm sorry for all my moaning, just feeling lost and alone. I know I'm not but I can't shake the feeling. Thanks, Amber
  22. I've seen this one! I was so excided to hear POTS on tv. Amber
  23. Hi Kim, Welcome and good luck finding the answers. I have yet to be dx, so I can relate to your frustrations. Amber
  24. I always get sick when I take vitamins. Thanks for this post. Something to look into, Amber
