  1. Just had to add that it is so frustrating to differentiate what is autonomic cause and what is cardiac cause of tachycardia, unless you are lucky enough to have it caught on a monitor. Mine are not abrupt onset/offset. Mine start slowly, and I guess I just feel something is not right and I notice then that my rate is higher and going higher and takes just as long to go back down. My readings have shown sinus tachy, so I'm told though I've not been told POTS. I had one episode years ago where a pac threw me into a svt for about a 1/2 hr or so, and I was pregnant at the time so I just took a small dose of beta to get it back to normal, but for me even the beta takes about 45mins to kick in. It may not sound right, but I do hope you get that run "caught" on tape so they can see what is going on and work from there. What about a 30 loop monitor or longer?
  2. I'd just say to be careful with the Vit A! I'm curious to hear about the glyconutrients. I had read about the mannatech and thought about it a while back but never purchased it, especially since it was not readily available through local merchants. Good luck
  3. I think also that our bodies just don't work the normal way. We can have adrenaline pour at innapropriate times. Or just be so sensitive to the adrenaline that pops up just from doing normal activities(like walking across the room) that our body overreacts. I remember about 2yrs ago I was out walking, and when I got back home I sat down and I felt that my hrate was not right. I checked and it was 93,,,it just kept going from there, it was like someone opened up the dam and the adrenaline poured out. It continues that way for me for a good hour. It can be very upsetting to worry about doing anything and wondering if the tachy will hit. Don't let it keep you from doing the things you enjoy though,,at least try to not let it
  4. Leaves me with the weak knees feeling. Jello legs. I just figure that while you are having the tachy, every muscle tenses up, the adrenaline pours and when it's over and it's finally mostly out of your system, you left with the feeling that you ran a marathon
  5. How high is your tachy? Is that while sitting also? I'm sure it is even tougher now that summer is almost upon us also. It really stinks to be doing something you enjoy and then have it happen. I understand how hard it is to keep being upbeat. Hang in there.
  6. Always! I go and go, and then poof!!,,crash, like I could pass out asleep. I do have MVP. Forget about after having tachy,,then I really crash.
  7. When I was dropping weight a few years ago, the doc had me drink Myoplex. I know it has quite a bit of protein but if I remember it had a lot of fillers also. it may have changed since then. Myoplex can be bought at a vitamin store. Athletes use it also. Milk shakes I like, but like you, to much milk kills my stomach. Hope you find something soon.
  8. Too much sugar and my heart gets racey, notice skipped beats and generally feel yucky. I do have a big sweet tooth. I like pickles also but have not got into the habit of eating them. Think it's a place for me to start when I want something sweet, I'll grab a pickle instead.
  9. Sounds very interesting and promising. Thanks for the link
  10. I try to controll them also, though not so well. I try to distance myself from things that potentially will set me off. Just watching my kids play their sports, I have to control myself from yelling, cheering whatever, otherwise, boom! it sets off. I also find that when I seem emotionless, it's not always so. What others may not see on the outside, may be going on in the inside.
  11. I have trouble with the overstimulation after exercise also. I take longer to recover and sometimes it just stays high for an hour or so after stopping the exercise or even better, the rate starts to climb higher after stopping. I'll have to try a bit of my klonopin b/4 hand and see how that goes.
  12. Hi, Glad to see your post. I do so hope this all works out for you. Take care of yourself while you recover and please keep us posted.
  13. Congratulations!!!!! Glad the delivery went well. Also glad to hear she is such a good sleeper, gives you some time to rest and take care of yourself. Hopefully you will get those darn symptoms under control soon. Enjoy that new bundle!
  14. Hi Tammy, I get these same episodes, wish I could find my previous posts on this and link it for you. I'll keep looking... For me they can start by a feeling of uneasy, I notice my heart pounding though it is not fast yet. It starts to go faster, I get the chills, my teeth chatter, my palms sweat, I start to feel pressure in my head and face. Run to the bathroom usually with a bm also and usually more than once(sorry for the details My rate can go up as high as 150 or stay in the low 100's - 120's, I never know. They usually will last about 45min or so, and I usually will take a little beta blocker when it starts too. I feel tired and drained the rest of the day, after all that adrenaline floating around the systems keeping you on edge, it is not surprising. I can feel the release in my body when it is over. My knees will feel weak, arms tired etc. I can also feel like this the next day too. Sometimes it happens off and on for the rest of the day, like mini rushes. Sound similar?
  15. Hi, I take lexapro. When I first took it I took it via pill form and took about a 1/2 of it to start and experienced some side effects and I stopped. I decided to give the liquid lexapro a try and I had success with that without any real noticeable side effects. I don't know if it was just coincidence, but I did well when I switched.
  16. Jennifer, Coming from someone who has had anxiety and panic issues for over 20 years, I know how lousy and upsetting it feels. Some people can shake off a panic attack and never have one again. Others have mini episodes and the fear of "if" another will happen can paralyze you. The first big panic attack I had was in a movie theatre. Let me tell you, it took me years to get back into a theater and even then I would be tense, nervous, heart pumping etc. The mind can and many times keeps that link between where or what you were doing at the time the panic happened and when you are in or near that situation again it flares. Even now, though I have not had a true panic attack in quite a while, I fight the anxiety daily, sometimes like you, I worry about going out. Normal things that others would not even ever worry about I do. Those "what ifs" can take over your life and it's easy to say, but you need to find a way to deal with them, get past them. Seeing a m.d., therapist, cognitive specialist, whatever it may be is good place to start. Just letting someone in on what is going on can help. Having a support system at home is important too. Deep breathing, taking time out for yourself, doing something relaxing, all little things that can help the big picture. PM me anytime if you want. You will get through this!!!
  17. So sorry to hear that. Sounds very scary and dealing with that by yourself must be even more frustrating. Have you been pushing yourself even more lately? What have they said about this?
  18. I could not possibly give any better info than cardiactec and flop, especially since I don't know what I would be talking about But, you have had such problems with losing so much weight, not being able to eat, that your electrolyte system I would guess is probably all over the place. I know, correct me if I am wrong guys, but low potassium and/or low mag, or even too much of either can cause a host of potential arrthymia problems too. Have they spoken or mentioned any electrolyte problems? I'm glad to hear you have been able to eat and seems the Dr's you have settled with are truly helping. Hope this all settles down too. P.S. glad to see you back
  19. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Wish I could do something more than offer support to help but I can't. It certainly is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's there. I'm sure all the "die off" from the antiobiotics just affects every part mentally and physically. I hope brighter days are ahead soon.
  20. I am also glad your appointment went well, just the reassurance alone that what one is going through is real can have such a great impact. Hard to find, but glad you found one.
  21. Hi Cardiactec, Glad to hear you are doing better. I've not experienced the fainting so I can only imagine. I'm sure frightening and the worry of if another will happen. I hope that this was a one time occurence not to rear its head ever again. Feel well.
  22. Unfortunately I feel it even when it goes from the 70's to 80's resting. Not fun being so "connected" to what's going on is it. I've only come to know the increase of heartrate as being sinus tachy as what has been caught on an event monitor that was captured by me pressing the button. I get the slow increase and it keeps on increasing until it peaks, anywhere from 120-150 sitting, (I don't dare stand if I can avoid it!!) and wait for it it to slowly go back down.(about an hour). Wish I could say I don't feel it. I'm trying to not focus on it and hopefully be able to not be so in-tune with it all.
  23. I have a sublingual form of melatonin and it is 1mg. Sometimes I don't even take that much. Some nights it gives me very vivid dreams also, but that happens to me if I take klonopin too. Does not bother my symptoms though.
  24. I had also come up low normal,,about 22 on the scale of a ref range of 20-100. I took a supplement and got it up to 64, noticed no difference in symptoms though. I also come up below normal on RBC magnesium but can't get that number to go up at all. Glad to hear you are improving, I hope it continues.
  25. Hi Ernie, So nice to see you back on the board. I hope you continue to improve Hmm, hospital food,,,yuck!!
