  1. Okay after a long time of having funky dreams they went away and now they are back. It's like they are real, yes they are creepy and i hate sleeping. I am on an SSRI and a beta blocker...which im sick of these dreams and they are mumbled jumbled, none of them make sense. advice please!
  2. I can't handle caffine too well, if i drink a little can 8 oz or less I can function early in the AM, but if i drink it at night this is me... Susie
  3. You may want to check out Walmart, they offer generics for $4 a month...I'm not sure what Zoloft's generic is but, i just got my one script from there. Or Rxnorth.com, i order my antidepressent from there. Here's the list of meds that are currently $4 http://i.walmart.com/i/if/hmp/fusion/genericdruglist.pdf Susie
  4. I bought Cymbalta on RXNorth.com, which i believe someone posted the link, for me at the Kroger it's like $135 w/out insurance. I have a three month supply sitting on the counter that I can't use since i had a pretty bad reaction which happened about a week after taking and ordering it. Susie
  5. I have a constant 24/7 headache since 1999. Nothing has taken it away but it has lessened but it's back up to 7/8 on 1-10. I also get migraines, on top of the headaches...so not fun. Nothing OTC works, btw if you use to much advil *i did*, you will get rebound headaches and it's not fun detoxing from that. So currently i don't take anything for the headache ---i just live thru it day by day, and the migraines i'm on a preventive but nothing to "break" it....basically i just muddle thru them also. I was in the hospital for migraine/headache treatment without much success as i was a square peg they were trying to fit in a round hole. Basically i was told i didn't have POTS, suck it up and live your life.... Susie
  6. Thanks guys, currently i have not slept, and it's past 4pm so i guess i will do chores, take a nice warm shower (the headache feels better with warm rather than cold)...and tuck myself into bed and watch The Shaggy Dog which i rented today. Mom is calling the family doctor as he is easier to get a hold of...btw i have been on Celexa, Wellbutrin, Lexapro and Cymbalta. They all give me the real dreams and ugh i can't take it anymore! The fair should be fun, i just ordered a hoodie and another polo (for showing, a much lighter one ). I must say i love personalized shirts. hehe I only have six more to groom so it's not to too bad and it's doable as long as i take my time---and no goats punching me out.
  7. Thanks, i didn't take the lexapro this AM, as i feel like the Energizer Goatie, seriously i trimmed three goats plus hoofs and am not tired. Altho the goats were happy to be fed earlier than normal...kinda shocked the dog walking out there that early. Guess he likes to sleep in like his owners. Oh well, one way or another i will enjoy fair i might not remember much but i know i always have a good time... susie
  8. I haven't vented on here in a long time or ever. I recently switched from lexapro to cymbalta back to lexapro, after some nasty side effects. My energy has gone from 5 to zip in a week and i feel like im worthless, as in not doing a darn thing around the house anymore. I have been back on the lexapro 10 MG for a week, and i am having the funky dreams again, it was a relief they went away after stopping the Lexapro the first time. But know they are SO real....i wake up so panicked. Now the headaches are worse, pressure oh the pressure --- feels like i'm in a washing machine with too much water. Nothing relieves this, laying down and sitting up pretty much are equal...so im not sure what to do. I have the county fair in less than 11 days to get ready for, eight more goats to get ready, 4-H booth to help get ready, and just being vertical for a week. Yes i know "fair week" sounds stupid but it's what i live for and wait ALL year to do. It's the farmer in me. With the dreams and the headache i don't want to sleep anymore. Seriously this is just crazy or perhaps im crazy. I know i need to call the doctor, but im afraid he will say wait it out, i can't i need something to help the energy/headache/dreams, everything. I thought about IV hydration as i drink and i go more than i take in, but i know my parents are againest that idea. I have NO insurance, working on medicaid, so anything with tests or anything is out of the question at this point. susie
  9. My grandmother had Vascovagal Syncope...diagonsed later in life but we believe she had it longer. She had eposides not as bad when they installed the pacemaker. She died at 85 w/ lung cancer, so it didn't take her life but she would pass out and not come to, hence the pacemaker. So my family has a history of POTS, NCS, and OI....so i doubt mine will ever "go away".
  10. I have never used a liquid med but it sure sounds easier than cutting pills. As far as syringes ---i use a lot of them w/ the goaties. Anyways 3 CC/ML works well for getting 2.5. Just my opinion. susie
  11. I've been told to go off of Lexapro and switch to Cymbalta. Mistake #1. I was weaning off the lexapro and took the Cymbalta ----would be fully weaned off of lexapro in a month. But i was sleeping all the time, low BP, and generally feeling crappy. SO mom called Dr. G and he said go off the lexapro. Well now the Cymbalta isn't letting me sleep, i have racing thoughts, headache from h-ll, and just hate feeling like this. So we have put in a call to PCP and to Dr. G none of which called back...so i have gone off the cymbalta, which for the first time in like 3 days i actually slept at night and NO racing thoughts. So my question is there something natural to replace these drugs? I hate withdrawal and i hate feeling like i'm nuts. Seriously this has put me up a wall... Susie
  12. Well after two weeks of taking Cymbalta at night, at the start i was sleeping over 16+ hours a day, well now i'm not sleeping at night, no naps, and i'm not tired. Plus my GI problems gotten worse, BP even lower than my normal, i hardly eat anything anymore, headache is still there and gets worse with any amount of work, i'm ready to say the heck with the Cymbalta but yet i have two months ordered and it should be here soon. This stuff is NOT cheap by any means. Anywho i am not sure what to do anymore... susie
  13. Hi all, I recently had an appt w/ Dr. Grubb and he recommended i try Cymbalta. Has anyone tried this? Is this a "new" drug for dysautonomia patients to try? Susie
  14. Well, currently no health insurance, but when i did have it, it really wasn't much. We have NEVER had dental or eye doctors in the plan. Before my dad got a job is 2004 we always bought our own health insurance, but then he got a job and i had insurance. This isn't the first time w/out insurance for me, just live in a bubble and pray i don't get hurt.
  15. Ditto on relying on the parents. I am lucky to just take two meds, but they are expensive and add up. I currently have no health insurance, so we are buying my drugs from canada (which is way cheaper, but not as cheap as the insurance paid for). I'm applying for SSI (long story on it but i am still waiting to hear back from). The main reason i have no health insurance is because my dad lost his job and well there went my insurance, i really wish i did have a job or went to college, but right now that's not possible, but someday. Hang in there, Susie
  16. Well, I've applied but been denied like two times already ---i reapplied on Dec 29, 05, which i haven't gotten word back yet and it's what six months, but i went down to the office and the guy down there said my case is odd. GO FIGURE! They sent my determination to Chicago for review which he said they only send reviews to Chicago that have been approved, BUT on the paper he printed out it had a common denial code. SO hopefully the guy calls tommorow or i will be spending another day at the SS office...i swear they like to make you wait but at least the one in town has a new office, so much nicer. Anywho, that's my saga for this week... Susie
  17. www.cheaptickets.com, i have had friends use this, it's good w/ prices for flying, not sure but i think it's more expensive to fly into toledo. I would fly into detriot or cleveland if it's too expensive...but that's just me. Susie
  18. After I got sick, we don't do gardens anymore (we used to do two), the flowers well now are a distant memory, we only planted them for graduation parties, and well the shrubs need a haircut, but none of this has happened yet as it's too hot. I can't seem to shake the heat one bit. The only thing i get done day after day outside is feeding the animals, which is a must so i do them slowly but steady. It usually takes be 30 to 45 minutes on a good day, more if i feel like crap. The heat doesn't affect my goat's hunger... Anyways i hardly do anything outside when it is so hot out, i need to trim goats up for some shows but i haven't gotten that done yet either.
  19. Well, summer is offically here. Just wondering what do others do to stay cool. This year i am not sure when the central air will be turned on as it's just too expensive. But i do have one in my room. I'm trying to stay positive w/ this choice of the parentals as well it will save money in the long run. Things I do to help stay cool: I keep my bedroom temp at 68* aka the freezer Wear shorts no matter how pastey my legs look Relax Drink lots of water Run cold water over the feets sometimes shower twice a day thats all i can think of now the hot stinky goat aka susie
  20. What i take to help prevent headaches daily is corgard, it's a BP med but used for headaches. Works pretty well, but right now i am in a tissy with headaches mostly due to the weather...just wish it would decide no rain. My MRI's, CT scans, EEG's, and every other test comes back clean, so i have no clue why my head is always hurting. 1-5 it's usually a 3, never been a 1. 5 is totally bed bound whcih i have had twice this week. susie
  21. Hi all, I haven't posted lately but been reading. Anyways i have a question, right now i am so dizzy ---i think i am in a washer machine...it's soo bad. I haven't had it this bad in years and it's driving me nuts. My mom has brought this up more than once, she's noticing that i am walking w/ my eyes closed, i never noticed it. lol I am not sure what to do, i am keeping hydrated, salt in me and everything, but it's like wowie. On top of this dizziness is the headache that won't let up. I am sleeping an insane amount of the time, i have really no energy to do anything and if i do i sleep after i do it. I seriously need the dizziness to stop, i am going on vacation or i should say a volunteer thing in July and i am kind of helping w/ a bunch of kiddos, on an island. the dizzy goat
  22. This has taken me a long time to figure out but i do better in routine. I try and get up around 9 to 9:30 AM, usually i wake up an hour or so before get pills, bathroom and back to sleep. If dad hasn't done the feedings yet i will go ahead and do them. Usually it takes me 45 minutes and i sit down a lot or lay down. Lifting heavy objects is always something i hate but must do. I lift 3 - five gallon buckets full of water, a bale a hay, and of course a 50 lb bag of feed. This usually wears me out but i do have muscles. I usually shower after chores or around 10 - 10:30 AM, and after that i move in turtle mode. Online, tv, nap. Then chores at 5 PM --- same as AM. At night i am walking the goats more, walking up the lane, running them back (okay they run i walk and then they stand there and think what is taking you so long. ). I find if i am active but NOT over doing it i do okay. I am still have symptoms, a headache that never has gone away, twitching, dizziness, and other symptoms i can't think of oh ya BRAIN FOG! susie
  23. Sorry to hear about your troubles. My mom had this one little old lady (my mom does hair), and this lady was very funny. But as she got older her son took her to the store and those scooters she would use, but she would chase people around or hit them w/ the scooter.
  24. I drive but only when i feel good, never if i feel POTSy. But i always feel better when i drive.
