  1. i have tried a lot of differant ones but when i was admitted last yr for migraine treatment, corgard seemed to help. I was a very high dose that basically made me sleep a lot but my family doctor lowered it which it seemed to help, i went off of it and decided i needed to go back on it but now i take 10 mg once a day. also i have used inderal but that quit working after a year. susie
  2. Thanks all, i will be contacting a few of you, mostly i want someone to help with my migraines, and my current problem. First i need to get new insurance *sighs*. susie
  3. I am looking for a new neuro in ohio. Most likely in NW ohio but would consider other areas. I need to find one as the others didn't make the cut. thanks susie
  4. Yes it is actually minutes. No one has monitored my BP, breathing, or HR. I am not really sure what these things are but i am very curious and want to get to the bottom of these buggers. So do any of you know a good neuro in Ohio? susie
  5. Yes i have had three EEG's but those were like a year ago. susie
  6. Hi all, Just wondering if any of you have been diagonsed with Petit Grand Mal Seizures? The reason i am asking is because i have these blank stares (or at least that my parents tell me), i have no memory of them. I can be talking and stop and stare for 5 to 10 minutes and then pick up the convo. Also these weird body spasms/jerking spells are getting old. I am so exhausted after i have them. Something has to change....any ideas... susie
  7. how in the world do you clean them?
  8. I turn them on and the one keeps spinning each disc i put in and then the other one won't open.
  9. Okay i have this little problem, i seem to kill my dvd players. honestly, i have no clue what i do to them but it's driving me nuts. the first one got hit by lightening (totally not my fault there), the second one wouldn't give me back my DVD ----and the third well it won't play the DVD. My mom bought these at walmart ---the cheaper ones as usually they work rather well. Since we have another one that works perfectly that i stole from downstairs for tonight. I know i watch a lot of DVD's up in my room but can one kill them by overuse? anyways my little vent for tonight... susie
  10. Thanks everyone, i am putting this off as long as possible since i am already in a crash i want to try to get out of this one a little bit more. Mine are coming up straight, altho i am not sure if i have enough room for them as i turned down x-rays this time around as i didn't feel the greatest. I probably would suggest saline before, during and after, not sure i want to be totally out or just numbed but i think totally out would work better incase i have one of my full body spasms or whatever you want to call them. I had one when the dentist came in yesterday and boy he freaked out....haha glad i had my mom w/ me. The thing that worries me is recovery, i mean it took my brother a week to actually eat, for me i hope it doesn't take any longer. just getting ideas around but the hospital sounds the safest at least to me, susie
  11. Okay i just got back from the dentist, which i must i hate going there, bright lights and just the smell. oh wel such is life. they mentioned me getting my wisdom teeth out sometime, hopefully i can put this off as long as possible due to money issues. but i want to know if i should have them removed in the office or in the hospital as today before the dentist came in i had one of my full body twitches, which i guess freaked out teh doc but he had my mom come back and all is fine. Well besides the killer headache. Ideas, suggestions welcome, susie
  12. I take calcuim mag, which helps the headaches a little bit, but i am not sure about these twitches i mean they are getting too annoying...before they were less but now they are happening more and more... susie
  13. hi all, just wondering if you have this symptom, i twitch, i mean my neck jerks, eyes blink super duper fast, legs/arms do fast twitches, and then i have the whole body shaking, which i must say i have no way of knowing i do it unless my mom witnesses it or my dad. plus i do these blank stares... any ideas? i mean this is getting very annoying and i want to know if this isn't all POTS? susie
  14. I got mine thru my chiropactor ---which he highly recommended since i can hardly walk a long distance, and the fair was coming up so he knew that walking from the back lot wouldn't do me any good. He is super nice, i would say keep trying...i know for me people judge and what not as i am 20 yrs old but hey when i know i can't walk too far i use it or no other close spots open. susie
  15. Well, the building i went to was kinda warm, and the elevator was kinda questionable...as if we are gonna make it to the third floor, i had to travel to toledo but will get $8.25 from the goverment for my travel. Anyways i filled out like a zillion papers that really had nothing to with me, i mean they did but it was pointless...just the standard crap. Anyways the doctor, who is very nice, said my binder is very impressive...but he never looked at it. Basically it was 3 minutes talking, which i talk rather fast and he wanted the short verison...basically how it started, where i am at now, which to him me not working is something since he wondered "why". DUH Then the exam which is a joke, i have no clue why but if someone can tell why he measured my arm and leg muscles...i will be happy to know....altho i did have to put a crappy paper gown on which i have no clue why again all he did was listen to the heart, BP, lungs, felt the back to see sore spots and a few reflexes. My walking was totally off, my vision was blurred --the nurse do you have your contacts in, well duh yes, if not i really would be blind. so all in all it wasn't too bad, but he did know what dysautonomia was which is good... susie *fingers crossed*
  16. Okay seriously i have not slept yet and it's like 5:40 am, yes that's correct. i really hate insomnia but why now and why today? hmm oh well, i will just probably either go on a)no sleep or b)wittle sleep. perhaps this will show my true colors or not.... YAY for insomnia, NOT
  17. I am taking my mother with me, as she is driving. As for the records they can make copies if they so choose i never let the 4 inch binder out of my hands or sight. also do you take any papers on dysautonomia with you and if so which ones. susie
  18. hi all, tommorow i meet w/ the SSI doctor, so what else beside the big black medical record binder, symptom list, and myself do i take? susie
  19. goldicedance you are right about the car issue, but since my parents techinally bought the car w/ my dad's check, it's there car, but i just use and of course i still live at home and depend on my parents for everything. susie
  20. For me, what is taking longer with mine is the stupid doctor appt which i must say is kinda stupid but who cares. i will go tolerate being poked...and tell the truth. any ideas on what papers to bring? also as far as the car, my car which i paid for is in my parents names so that way insurance was cheaper and of course i bought the car with graduation money (cheap car but works great). anyways i have nothing in my name, besides the goats but all the bills go to dad...well most but i pay cash for the things i buy. susie
  21. Hey Megan, long time since i have talked to you but if you ever want to chat just PM, since i have a new AIM name. Anywho, i bought this up a month or so ago, yes a service dog would help, not only if you couldn't communicate (your papers would be in his jacket), but it would give you freedom. I know for me my dog who hates people sticks by my side if i feel horrible, and like last night i dropped something he came running over since he thought i fell. As far as the cat i am not really sure, but i think any animal can be a service animal, within reason. Good luck, susie
  22. i seen the shrink before, i think it was on my first or second try, this is my third attempt.
  23. Thanks Carmen! It will be diffucult to describe my limations, as well i have kinda pushed them out of my mind, and it's hard to accept, even tho i have been sick 7 years now. My mom will be going w/ me and she knows the limits have pushed and payed for. I was just out in the barn ----night feeding for the bottle babies, anywho i laid down at least twice or three times, and just paced myself slowly. And the one goat did get out but i just let him run while i was laying down...i am such a bad mommy. hehe Anyways, i will have to come up with everything symptom list, in detail and what not. susie
  24. Hi all, I am in the process of either being accepted or denyed, which SSI sent me a letter informing me of a doctors appt on March 9, he's cardio. Anyways what do i need to bring along with me about dysautonomia....any ideas, tips, hints. currently i have symptoms everyday, that are very noticable, twitching, full body spasms, my walking off, and of course a little stuttering. thanks susie
