  1. I have been drinking more water and gatorade lately but i am not sure about these darn pressure headaches, i haven't experienced this much pain in a LONG time, its just as if there is so much pressure it is insane. Here's some things that have happened recently, i have goats which three are rejects oh i mean bottle babies. My dad does the 5:30 AM feeding, and i do the noon, 5:30 PM and midnight ones as it really simple. Go out and say there names and they all come running, rather cute but it will be annoying after the bottles are finished in 8 weeks, since well when the door opens they come running out. Anywho, i have had this annoying headache but i went out anyways forgot the cell and i ended up laying down in the pile of hay bales for a good half hour to an hour, with my head about ready to explode and no one was home, then it happened again at midnight but again no cell (i keep forgetting that little thing). This time i got the courage to try to walk sat down about every 5 feet or so, finally got to the feedbox where low and behold the pig cane (we used it to show but looks like a human cane). Well i use that to get my butt in the house and my mom is wondering why i was taking so long...hmm. but anyways these headaches knock my socks off so to speak. i know am instructed to take the cell phone, but at least the dog is out there and well is somewhat helpful. hehe susie
  2. Hi all, Lately i have been experiencing this weird headache, not a normal migraine or headache for me. It's like the pressure in the head is getting worse, no matter what i do. Also i am more dizzy and whatnot. I lay down tons, no energy, sleeping a lot, and of course not eating too much. It feels like i am in an ocean, and the back of head was hit by a board. anyone experience these? susie
  3. I get a lot of eye pain, from too much pressure behind the eyes, to twitching of the eyes, and sometimes weird pains. no real rime or reason, it is just there. susie
  4. Okay after searching online, i found this workbook, it sounds super good. Chronic Illness Workbook there will be a new addition out they say in early 2006. susie
  5. Hi all, after seven years of thinking yes it takes that long,i have been questioning my dx of POTS/NCS/OI. When Dr. G did the TTT i passed it actually almost with flying colors, but the reason i was dx was of the symptoms. Now that i have been thinking what if this is lyme disease. Most of my unexplained symptoms aren't POTS/NCS/OI related but some are. My local doctor today said that in this area there isn't much, but i do have animals, live on a farm, and of course have been in the woods many of times. anyways, even if my test which he kinda refused the more accurate testing---he's doing a simple one and i think that will come back negitive...but we will see. i have never been on the standard treatments for dysautonomia, only an anti-drepressant. susie
  6. Thanks Brenda for the info, i may be contacting in the near future, just have to convince my parents, who always worry about everything as most parents do. a couple ?'s tho, what kind of dog do you have for the service dog, and does it matter what breed one has for a service dog, mostly i have seen labs or mixs of them. thanks susie
  7. I already have a dog, but he isn't the people dog type....i mean the vet is even afraid of him, and of course he knows me when i feel like crap but he is kinda hyper. plus he kinda smells...coon dog. anyways when i move out, i will need a companion which is why a service dog or at least if i could train the puppy with the guidance of someone would be helpful. Also the college scene i am thinking the "what if's", it's not always healthy to think that way but i am trying to be real. anyways any links would be helpful, susie
  8. yes i have a cell phone, but the main concern what if i got sick and couldn't talk....i mean i don't pass out but you know that brain foggy crap can be a pain but oddly i feel better when i drive.
  9. i was just wondering if anyone has a service dog? I am looking into it as my mother doesn't want me to travel anywhere more than an hour away by myself. she fears if something would happen no one will have a clue what to do, i am also looking into a bracelet (which i probably will get in a month or so). Plus i think she has a lot of nagging "what ifs". susie
  10. Aspartame causes my headaches to worsen....i always avoid it and read labels. It can cause joint pain also, which i had worse when i consumed anything with it in. PLUS it tastes nasty once you go off of it.
  11. hey all, recently i have devoloped falling asleep during dinner....tonight it was at least three times and it takes some really good shaking to awake me. i have never had this happen before....anyone else? susie
  12. hi all, well i have had body jerks for a long time but recently they have increased with family stress. anywho, my neck, back shoulders hurt like heck, and i have gone to the chiropactor today but recently had another body jerking spell and now my neck and headache are much worse...any ideas? im looking into massage but i am thinking about wearing a neck brace so i can't whip my head around like my mom says i do. (i don't remember having the body jerks but boy do i feel it afterwards, and normally they last for about 5 to 10 minutes they used to be longer). susie
  13. hi, just wondering if anyone has had hearing loss or problems, it seems my hearing is somewhat differant, i mean i had it tested when i first got sick but it seems like i have to really really listen to what people say or i can't hear it all. the tv is a big issue i have to turn it up to hear and it drives me crazy.... susie
  14. Thanks everyone, I just got an application...had to put on the no nervous face. Anyways, it asks any comments, for past employment, but honestly i have never been employed, and i am 20. does it look weird if i just put never been employed, but have worked on the family farm? i mean my main symptom is usually a little fatigue, but i can work around that, i have mastered functioning with only four hours of sleep, so i know it's possible. i know i am bad. hehe anywho thanks for the support, susie
  15. Ditto on the scalp pain, for a long time it hurt to wash my head, which is strange. although i know i am strange. also the bones shatter, yup i totally agree on that, but i always say shredder. anywho you aren't alone but i just take the pain, i hate pain meds and they usually knock me out and i hate that.
  16. hey all, i am feeling somewhat better and want to try for a job, only part-time but a little money is better than nothing. anywho how much do you guys disclose about youru health when you apply or do not say anything? i know i am better in the afternoon...and this is a job in the PM. any info would be greatly appreciated. susie
  17. HI all, thought i would give an update...mom drove me. but i think it had to be done i was kinda out of it friday night and mom's worry. so ya some highlights were, getting pulled over for going 65 in a 55 mph zone (and i wasn't driving ), getting lost, not my fault this time. and of course the conferance it was nice but not the best...learned some. so all in all it went okay... susie
  18. thanks guys, now i understand some of this, but when i crash i am usually home alone (i hate to say that but it's true), so i fend for myself, if it's putting a movie in, feeding myself, no shower, and of course just trying to sleep it off. i know my mom has a right to worry, it's in her will. the conferance is only 4 hours, so it's not a long time but the other conferance i want to go is an all day thing, and i would spend the night before---it's next weekend. of course i would call her, as um i am not too good w/ directions--i am the same one who got lost sunday picking up a goat with dad --- but i got the directions i need to attend this conferance and of course it should be easy, NO back roads. but ya i usually call when i arrive and before i leave somewhere. thank you guys sooo much, susie
  19. hey guys, thanks for the boost, i think she worries too much, but i guess that's her job. i have never really "tested" the limits as to push her, so it's new for both of us. my brother really never pushed, so ya. well, goat people are differant, they really care about each other, so i know i am in good hands. I raise goats for dairy and meat, i currently have 12 and they keep my going, as some docs said that is a full time job when they start birthing, but it's worth it. and you can call me the crazy one that took 9 to the fair....a lot of work. anyways, i think i am doing the right thing going, i was looking foward to this for a couple of weeks, but put my RSVP in yesterday....the late susie. susie
  20. okay most of you probably don't remember too much, i have posted here and there but just not up to posting as much as i should. i just need to let this out, and of course it involves family. i have this chance to go to a conferance (you will think i am nuts but it's about goats --- new info on USDA stuff). anyways i want to go alone since i am now 20 and it's only 60 miles away (one way). my mom is concerned about my car (which i have no clue why), i think she has a fear of me doing something funny -- but in reality i am doing better and why can't she trust me? anyways, i got my way and going alone saturday...so ya i feel better, since i don't want my mommy sitting in the car waiting for me, and i can leave when i want and whatnot. it may seem selfish for me to go alone but i am tired of being treated like i am 8, plus a certain doctor told me to live my life. susie
  21. thanks guys! the flu one will be definatly done, as i had the flu or semi flu saturday. so not fun times. susie
  22. Hi, You are all are thinking i am weird for asking this, has anyone had a rabies vaccine? I am looking into vet tech schools and one thing they require is this....anyone? also i am looking into getting the flu shot, wise idea? susie
  23. Steph, You are too funny! Well want i want to major in is Vet Tech, so there is only like 4 in the state. But Athens was an option but not since they don't offer vet tech courses. Also what requirments for BVR do i need? I have to look more into it if i do decide to stay in state. susie
  24. Thanks for the input! As for staying close to Grubb -- i had an appointment last week, and he encouraged me to try college and stuff. Out of state tutition will kill the pocketbook, but it's my education. Since i am feeling somewhat better, he said i can go out of state for college. My parents will stay put in Ohio (only an hour away from Grubb) --- but i hate ohio's winters. Ya i know moving up north will be a challenge but i think i can handle it.
  25. hey all, I am looking into nanny jobs and also colleges, i want out of Ohio for various reasons, just wondering where would be good to go for a POTS patient? I found a college in Indiana I like and Minnasota (sp). I need to work in any state i move to for a year to get "in state" tutition. anyways any imput would be greatly appreciated. susie
