Oh my....I have to laugh. Thought I'd share this with you. It's really bad poetry but maybe it will make someone laugh like it did me.

Several times lately when I'm coming around from passing out I hear this voice in my head saying, "I do not like it here nor there, I do not like this anywhere" so that's where this started. B)

I do not like my syncope

I do not like it can?t you see?

I do not like it here nor there

I do not like it anywhere

I don?t like falling in the tub

I don?t like paging Dr. Grubb

I don?t like feeling tachy

I don?t like when my brain is whacky

I do not like it here nor there

I do not like it anywhere.

I do not like to hit the ground

I do not like that loud loud sound.

pooh - i LOVE it!!!

i vote you send it to michelle for the next newsletter.

and that you definitely show it to dr. grubb at some point - as a writer himself i know he'll think it's grand. (for that matter any good-spirited doc would get a kick out of it i think...)

thanks for sharing....it gave me SUCH a smile & chuckle!

okay...i don't want to steal the show, but i couldn't resist chiming in (and this is MUCH more fun than finishing my paper for my not-so-favorite prof's class). i diverged from the pattern a little but i'm thinking we could write an entire book no problem....

pooh this is more fun than i've had in days...thanks girl:-)

With few docs helping anywhere

I don't like missing friends & fun

Poohbear B) I absolutely love this poem it is awesome, it is great! I had to share it with my daughter who shares this condition, and with my 2 other children who have witnessed this condition. We have been extreme Dr. Suess fans here for years. We have many of his books, including this thick one with several stories and the history behind them. It was also funny to me because with my 2 younger children, as they have witnessed me faint, witnessed me with low blood pressure, witnessed me in tears after surgery...I would always look at them and say, "I do not like green eggs and ham...I do not like them Sam I am"...referring to whatever symptom I was dealing with at the time along with a pout. I also love your sign off and username. My daughter who has this condition has been hospitalized, had surgeries and been ill many times. She is usually has a very bubbly, happy, bouncy personality...so each time she is is sick I give her the pout and say Oh no, Tigger lost her bounce. I have bought her a Tigger for each hospital stay, surgery etc. She has a whole collection of Tiggers, the clothes, the watch etc. I joke with her ok no more gettin sick I am runnin out of Tiggers! Take Care! The poem is great...we all loved it!

Sunfish, I certainly DO NOT feel like you're "stealing the show"

My vote would be for others to add to it and then Michelle put it in the next news letter...the more the merrier!!

I hope you were able to get some work done on your paper. I don't want you to have to try to explain to your professor that you were working on a Dr. Seuss poem B) hehe :)

I do not like my belly aches

Or when my body gets the shakes

I do not like the hot or cold

Or feeling like I'm very old

I wish we had a magic pill

Then none of us would be so ill

I wish the world could comprehend

We want our ups & downs to end

I wish we could be treated right

Without the need for such a fight

I wish that life could be lived flat

We'd all do better just like that

okay...i am getting WAY too into this. and seeing that it's the middle of the night it's likely to all appear as gobbledigook in the morning. but hey, it's amusing me greatly....

and yes, mother pooh, my paper is done. done well may be another story, but done none the less:-)

I just woke the baby laughing to loud! That is the funniest,most educational, description of us ever. Is it o.k. to print if not then I won't. See I have to write my symptoms down for my appt in 3hrs and my brain keeps losing trac. So if I could use your DR Zeus to (yawl's Dr Zeus)explain my symptoms then maybe I might be more concise.

I willbe sure to acknowledge the authors of each stanza

Thank you sooooooo much for the smiles you gave me. I LOVE the poems! I want to print them too if OK with you all. You both have a gift. Heh, they would be GREAT on a Tshirt for a fund raiser!!!!

Great additions One Fish, Two Fish SUNFISH!! Sorry, I "gave out" on you. I was wiped out and had to get to bed. I have a migraine so I'm back to bed soon.

I personally don't care if anyone prints this off.

This really would be cute as a fund raiser T-shirt. Wonder how cost-effective it would be? I don't know though...could there be copyright issues with Dr. Seuss???

Keep going guys it is great, made me laugh. What a great thing to give to others to read and show what we are going through. People get bored so easily with any medical information I give them. This is cute...hope to see it in the newletter with more additions.

We've all been so here and there

We all hate this icky stuff

We all want to be more buff

We do not like to fall at all

It isn't fun, it's not a ball

This poem is bad as bad can be

The problem is I have to pee

I do not like my brain this way

I do want someone to save the day

I'll gladly give my couch shaped butt

To not feel as crusty as King Tut

I would give most anything

To feel as though i have some bling

Since you guys are really enjoying this I will contine....

I do not like my vision blury

Seeing floaters all a flurry

I do not like the blinding spots

It feels my eyes are 'bout to rot.

I do not like my muscle spasms

Why they strike, I cannot fathom

I do not like my woozy head

All because my blood don't spread.

I do not like the psychiatrists

Who on these things put awful twists

I do not like their frame of mind

I hope they fall on THEIR behind.

Those poems are the best I have EVER read! And they are so funny! Thanks so much for the laughs. This is going to sound weird but they make more sense to me than any other poem I have ever read. Maybe it is just because I can relate so well. Oh, and I think all of them deserve to go in the newsletter! :lol:

Ya'll are a riot!! Even Theodore S. Geisel (AKA Dr. Seuss) would be proud, God rest his soul!! I had to share these poems with my son, who's still reeling at the pediatric resident from yesterday. It made his day!!
