  1. Happy Valentine's Day!!! I hope you all have a day filled with love and chocolate!! ((((HUGS)))
  2. Just wanted to suggest talking to your doctor about getting a Modified barium Swallow study and/or a Barium Swallow study done. Both are non-invasive tests to look at swallowing function. The modified focuses on everything from your mouth to the head of the esophagus...the regular barium study on the esophagus and below. You can observe the motility of the esophagus through this study and check for strictures, GERD, ect. Hope you're doing better soon..keep us posted.
  3. Thanks guys! I figured they'd be okay...it's just with my body so sensative to meds. now I always like to dbl. check before I ingest anything. Ugggg...feeling like pooh...hope this doesn't develope into anything too nasty. Thanks again.
  4. Hey guys..this is probably a really juvinille question but can we use cough drops and throat losenges? The main ingredient is menthol...that should be alright...right? I'm half asleep right now with a really sore throat and don't know what I can use to help it...no hard candy in the house...going to try tea. Thanks for any input

  10. Hi Kristen...I don't take Provigil but a friend of mine does...she has a sleep disorder. I was just going to suggest that maybe you check out some of those discussion forums and ask about the generic there. I don't know that many on this forum are taking it....but I know it's a common treatment for sleep issues. I hope you get some info. soon! Take care

  17. I think Mel was trying to say POTS isn't life threatening.... I understand you're scared but it seems like you've had extensive testing and all of the symptoms you've described are can and DO occur with POTS...so maybe you can give yourself a bit of a break and focus on finding some treatments that will work for you.
  18. Hey Kim...I only took Wellbutrin one time...it made me EXTREMELY tired...I actually went to the ER thinking I was having an adverse reaction to it b/c I'd also heard it was supposed to increase energy NOT knock you out! The doc. at the ER told me that some people actually take it as a sleep aid b/c it can cause extreme fatigue. Obviously this is not the "typical" reaction but the med. staff in the ER weren't all that surprised by my reaction to it so it does happen. As far as this going away over time I don't really know...perhaps discuss the pro's and con's of this med. with your doctor? Maybe see how long the side effects are supposed to last? I hope you're feeling better soon!
  19. Congrats on your new family memeber Nina! He's a real cutie...sounds like he's going to fit right into your house hold. I hope that you have many wonderful years with Wilbur...and post pictures when you can...I love pictures!
