  1. Thanks everyone for the imput. I called my doctor and she put me on the genertic of zoloft which is what she said above. Costs 59.00 a month but its worth it!!!!! Been going thru some rough times with a family member, she is being tested but I'm sure its alztimers and its been rough, my nerves are shot and the zoloft helps me keep my head on my shoulders. Thanks again.
  2. I was taking Zoloft but its getting too expensive and just cant afford it anymore so I stopped taking it. Theres been alot happening in my life right now that I want to start back on a medication but I will have to go genertic. I am going to call the doctor today but I was just wanting some opinions on meds ya all take that are genertic thats works.
  3. I found out the best thing that worked for me was I started walking. Not all works for everyone but I started walking alittle then a little more each day and my symptoms are so much better and I dont even have to take my celebrex anymore. It hurts and I was sore..soaked in bathtub but walked again the next day. Like I said what worked for me might not work for her but I do believe with me working those muscles, clearing my mind, breathing fresh air did the trick for me.
  4. Thanks for the input. I do want to find a job where I sit and stand both because even thou my symptoms have improved and I feel alot better and can stand and sit longer, I cant do a job where I sit all the time or stand all the time if that makes any sense. It bothers me to sit for a long period of time, so I do need something that I can do both for short periods. I still have some pots symptoms but they dont affect me like they used to. My legs dont hurt at night now so I can sleep and I really think rest has helped me alot. I do feel like I'm getting back to my normal self again and I'm not depressed like I used to be. I set my mind to getting better and have prayed alot. Unfortually, my sons girlfriend is going thru the same thing but her blood pressure goes sky high/w heart palputations inwhich my blood pressure went low..not its evened out.
  5. Havent posted in a while....but I do check in to see how everyone is doing. I want to go back to work part time to see if I can handle it. I'm feeling alot better and alot of my symptoms have gone away so it gives me hope. We are buying a house and I want to work part time just to keep busy cause I'm sick of being home all the time. What are some jobs some of you are working at? I dont even know where to start looking. I know people are not suspose to disgrimate but they do. Got to go, fixin supper. Take Care everyone...and I'm still here but most of the time,,just lurking.. Carlacat
  6. Sorry you had to go thru that...I had my yearly pap last week and my mamogram today. I didnt enjoy either one of them..thats for sure.
  7. Did you see the eye doctor about the flashing lights? I have bad eyes and my retina is so thin that they told me if I ever got hit in the head, I would probably go blind. If this happens they told me to get to the ER right away. They said they could do emegency surgery to try and repair it. But I would see an eye doctor to make sure nothing is going on...I know they test the blood pressure in my eyes everytime I go. I lost vision in one eye for 24 hrs along time ago and it wasnt fun, all they could figure out was it was my birth control pills I was taking. Carlacat
  8. Thanks Everyone..I havent had to take it for the past couple of nights cause I've slept well. I'm afraid to take it now because I dont want to backstep on my Pots cause I'm just now starting to feel better(with med help of course).
  9. I saw Dr. Chameli, neuro at Cleveland Clinic and he is actually the doctor that sent me to Dr. Fouad because he suggested that I had Pots. I liked him, he is just to far away for me (4 hrs drive) or I would continue seeing him.

  20. I went to the theatre Sat night to see it for the first time. Had a blast!!! I met with the other actors that played in the movie afterwards and had pictures taken. They had a question/answer session after the movie with the actors and I never laughed so hard. They told about behind the scene things that happened that you dont see in the movie...such as when Martha (Debbie) is looking thru the glass at my son Kyle and the new girl Rose (Misty) that likes Kyle while they were setting in the breakroom at the Doll factory (by the way it shows them making the dolls). Anyways, Martha was trying so hard to be serious and I guess my ornary son and Rose had their faces up to the glass and was making faces at her thru the window. She laughed and said that was so hard not to laugh...they had such a good time making the movie. Another one of the scenes where Jake (Roses old boyfriend, real name Kyle) enters the room after my son drops Rose off from date. They sent Kyle (my son) into the room instead of Jake and the girls said the look on all their faces was priceless and they laughed about it all afternoon. The thing is about this movie...none of the actors were given scripts. Steven Soderbergh told them certain points to make in the scene and they had to just "go with it" and make their own script as they went. Even Steven Soderbergh said it wouldnt be the same if experienced actors did this movie. They never told my son that he was going to be interagated by a detective (real detective on our local police dept) so he was surprised and when Martha was questioned she said she got so upset cause the detective was so good, she almost cried and you can see how upset she was in the movie. Gosh, there is just so much to tell ya, but I dont want to give the movie away. If you do see it or have plans to see it...just make sure you have an open mind about it. Alot of people go see it thinking their gonna get special effects and action packed..Its a mystery/love triangle. And yes, my son does have aniexty in real life and it does mention it in the movie.
  21. Thank you all for the congrats!!!!! Yes, I'm very excited, proud and beaming. It has been a "ride" so far and its only just begun. I've experienced different things in my life but nothing like this....I'll try and keep ya informed especially after Saturday when I go see the movie at the theatre. A Cleveland, OH reporter will be following Dustin around next week so that should be interesting. LOL Take Care "Never give up a dream"
  22. My son Dustin Ashley one of the main actors playing Kyle in the movie. Bubble will be released this weekend in some theatre's and on hdnet/paytv, DVD and in movie rental places all at the same time. This is his first acting experience along with the others and they did a very good job. The website is www.bubble thefilm.com. I am so proud of him because he does have aniexty but Steven Soderbergh is tops in my book casue he was so good with him. Dustin did not go to the premeire because of the crowd that was there and Steven sent him a video message and that he understood completely. I could go on forever telling ya about it all but I dont want to push it with the moderaters..I appreciate them letting me post this cause being a Pots person, its nice to have good in your life. And I'm so proud of my son, it makes up for the bad days I do have. I am going to the theatre to see the movie Sat (I also bought the dvd cause there are extras on it thats not on the movie at the theatre) I'm so excited to se my only son on the big screen. It is a murder/mystery, it tells more on the website.
  23. I've been waiting for the chit chat room to come up so I could post but I know several of you wanted updates. Dustins movie opens this weekend "bubble". I understand if you take this off the board but I've been waiting for a "Good News" column I could post it in. I'm sure alot of you can relate to his illness because he does have aniexty attacks and this does show in the movie. Thanks Carlacat PS....Sorry if I make anyone mad about my post!!
  24. Since August I have lost 17 pds without really trying. I was worried at first til I started to read posts here about alot of people losing weight also. First thing that came in my mind was "maybe I have cancer". I'm still gonna discuss it with my reg doc and show her the bloodwork I recently had done. It has not hurt me at all to lose some weight, maybe I can get back to my normal weight of 135 before I got sick. Right now I'm at 148. I just dont want to loose too much cause then everyone thinks "your sick". I'm gonna check out some part time work tomarrow, gotta do something to pay these medical bills. Its like a homeaide helping the elderly or disabled...I want to try it to see if I can do it but I dont want it to hurt my ssdi check right now til I see if I can stand it or not. I think I can try to work as long as I make under $840 a month for a nine month period. Anyone know anything about this or where I can find info? Thanks PS....My sons movie premere is this Thursday eve...I'm not going. I'm gonna watch it on TV. He understands!! It will be alot of standing and dont think I could handle all the cameras in my face..LOL
  25. They put pressure cuffs on my arms and all down my legs, even checked my blood pressure in my toes. It was weird..my legs were all cuffed up and they did each cuff separate when they took pressure.
