  1. I upload a photo and it never shows up. Not sure why. Used Photobucket and from the computer. Usually these things work fine.
  2. I don't know if there are any good integrative doctors there, but in the U.S. there are doctors that understand the value of supplements. I hope you can find someone so you can get your body as healthy and supported as possible.
  3. We have some very good alternative MD's here in the US. You can look them up and see if you have some. In Arizona, they train alternative, integrative MD's. I believe Dr. Andrew Weil started it all. Someday, hopefully all doctors will be more knowledgable about all kinds of care, supplements etc. The demand is high for sure!
  4. Everyone is different of course. I have quite a few blood tests and it has not happened. It is stressful, and stress can surely cause symptoms.
  5. My doctor has me taking Carnilear. L carnetine liquid. It rarely happens now. Maybe you can google it and ask your doctor.
  6. I had them for years. Horrible. Doctors were no help until I found a good doctor that knew about hormone balancing. They are gone now. I take compounded gel hormones.
  7. I tried but cannot add an avatar. Can someone help me? Thanks!
  8. We lived in Kingsport for a few months. I LOVE IT there. The whole area is wonderful! We traveled all over the area. I hope you have continued success with your new doctor. Keep us updated!
  9. I thought about doing it with that program but I am better off not going to a gym. I have exer. bands, weights, elliptical mach. pilates machine at home. I can only do a tiny bit, but I know it is good to get my legs strong. My supplements and G.Free have done a lot of good, so exer. can only help. Just have to be SOOOO careful with it. Movement is very important for so many reasons. Even if it is flexing the feet up and down. My doctor said to do that. We need the circulation.
  10. I am glad you have a good integrative MD. I have a good one and I have made wonderful improvement with CFS and POTS with ony supplements. I hope the future is wonderful and you continue to work well together!
  11. I take many many supplements. My doctor directs me after blood testing every 3-6 months. I have a schedule, three times a day. I love Carniclear (liquid Carnetine), Co Q10, Andrecor, Lipoic Acid Supreme, D Ribose, many vitamins and things that improve my immune system like Maitake Mushroom Drops, AHCC, Thymic Protein Powder. I am balanced with compounded hormones and Thyroid. 5htp and SAMe are good too. It depends on what you need and the symptoms you have. Supporting your body and immune system is very important. I also eat healthful foods, I get good sleep now that hormones are balanced and POTS is better, and I eat Gluten free foods. I also make a VERY healthful smoothie daily with many good foods and Greens powder and protein powder.
  12. Everyone is different. My doctor has me taking 120 mg daily. It has been wonderful for me.
  13. Do you have a good doctor like an Integrative MD that knows about supplements? Mine told me about Carniclear, liquid carnetine. That and CoQ10 have taken care of my brain fog. It is great. Find out about these and ask your doctor about the right brands and doses. Also, using a wheelchair is very helpful when going back and forth. I use mine sometimes and other times I do not need one. Just another tool to help.
  14. The Lipoic Acid Supreme has not done anything to my glucose level, I get blood tests every six months. It is always good to have guidance from a doctor that knows about all supplements.
  15. I am not sure, there are several good ones. If I did want to do it, my doctor said to use the waist high. I can't go to the bathroom a lot if I use them, too much of a pain. I sometimes wear Sheer Energy hose, but that too is a pain to go to the rest room. Too often with so much water drimking.
  16. I am so sorry. Well, she sounds like most of the clueless, uncaring, VERY ignorant cardios. I saw two. My first one was discusting in the way he treated me. MINE DIDN'T even SIT! He kept the door open and took two LONG CALLS and left. A nurse interrupted us over and over again. I could not believe my eyes. I cried all the way home. I can't believe these people. They are so ignorant. My 2nd cardio was VERY NICE!!!!!! He had no idea what was wrong. Did some tests. They looked ok. But he put out some effort! This is before I knew I had POTS. He went into the hall and talked to another doctor! He came in and told me it could be Dysautonomia. That is when I was able to start to get better. My CFS doctor took over and has done a great job. I am SHOCKED that she said only old people get it. BIZARRE. Please know we all understand and I send hugs. YES, you keep looking for a good doctor. Rest up and try again. This is a full time job. I am used to it. CFS for 18 years. I have a doctor that knows what each supplement does and does good blood testing. Can you find an integrative doctor? Do you have a friend of family member that can go with you next time? This is helpful when you cannot speak from being in shock at how dumb they are. It always hurts me to read about others in pain from a doctor. Doctors should, at the very LEAST, LISTEN and tell the patient they do not know and try to find another doctor to help them. Most cannot accept that they do not know much at all. FIRST DO NO HARM!!!! That is their job I do believe.
  17. Ask your doctor to learn about Lipoic Acid Supreme. Find a doc. that knows how much you need for neuropathy if he thinks that is it. I had problems with my feet and my doctor told me to take it. I am fine now. Google Lipoic Acid. It is given to diabetics and others with this problem. Just learn about it and ask your doctor to see if it can help you also.
  18. I have had CFS for 18 years. Just got POTS two years ago. I take great supplements on a schedule with a CFS doctor. I do great with the fatigue. DRibose and CoQ10 are good for me. I take a lot of things that help. You can get much better and usually stress can make you feel worse, relapse. Many conditions are things you do not get a cure with. You live with it and deal with by doing things that keep you healthy. Do not get sad about having CFS. Learn all you can just like with POTS. Getting great sleep is number one. Getting blood tests for B12, vit D3, thyroid etc. and having a good doc. is important. For me, the supplements have made my CFS no problem. My POTS is my problem now and it is improving. I take supplements for my immune system to keep me healthy.
  19. THANKFULLY, I have not had problems with infections. I too go to the dentist at least twice a year, more if I think there is a problem. I take CoQ10 and many supplements to keep my body as healthy as possible. Also, I take supplements like AHCC, C, Maitake mushroom drops, Vit. D3 drops and Thymic Protein powder. I support by body with everything it needs to stave off infections or at least heal quickly. My doctor guides me with it all with a schedule of supplements three times a day.
  20. Good luck at the dentist, I hope all goes smoothly.I go every six months so I can find a problem while it is small. I use Sensodyne ProNamael. REALLY good toothpaste. A Sonicare toothbrush too, floss of course. Do you have a Sonicare toothbrush? Ask your dentist about the Pronamel. My dentist recommended it. I had used the reg. Sensodyne and she likes the Sensydyne Pronamel. I have read good things about it. I never use a whitening toothpaste. I have read it is not good if you use it too much, bad for enamel. I do fine anytime I need med. for numbing with the reg. stuff. Hope all goes great for you!
  21. Do you have a wheelchair? That is how I get around on a bad day. NO way I can walk. My hubby pushes me.
  22. Oh my goodness. I am so very sorry you lost your mother! I am sorry you have the new problems too. How scary about your dog with the heartworm med. That has never happened to one of my dogs, that is scary! I really hope your new year will start to be better soon!!!!
  23. I have an integrative physician and she is knowledgeable about all kinds of treatments and supplements. I do not take any prescriptions except for my high bp due to my POTS. Supplements work best for me on everything. My seratonin dropped low from being so ill so she suggested 5HTP and SAMe. They are wonderful. My seratonin is now higher. Now stress from noise, light, etc do not affect me much. It was awful before I started those supplements. I take many wonderful supplements to keep my body healthy and help my symptoms. This time last year, I was not able to walk, so dizzy, lightheaded, nauseated, and I could not hear any sounds without feeling horrible. Now I am walking and doing very well. For long walking trips to a store, I use a w.chair or cane seat. I can even help my hubby do a little housework now. I did two loads of laundry yesterday! We still have someone clean our house and do gardening since he is very busy at work. He does all of the cooking and I hope to keep getting better and help more and more. My two doctors guide me with my supplements. I am on a schedule three times a day with the supplements. I get blood testing every 6 months. I have seen wonderful improvement. It also shows on my tests! I just tracked three tests and wrote them down. My seratonin and Vit D levels are way up. They were AWFUL this time last year. I do exercise carefully. I use exer. bands, and I do other things. I also have a pilates machine and eliptical machine. I will do that a bit later. Anything we can find that works is wonderful! One valuable thing I do also is take supplements for my immune system. I have CFS and POTS so I have to stay well. You asked about stress, as I mentioned, 5HTP and SAMe have been great. I take Carniclear (l carnetine, liquid) and that helps too as well as Adrecor and other things. They all work together. Now I am so much better and I look forward to the New Year, getting every more healthy. I am glad you are doing better! I hope we all have a good, healing 2011!
