  1. I had no epidural problems with my last babe!! I have tons of problems with low blood pressure. Best of luck! Brye
  2. I take XANAX every night. Not sure if this makes me an addict but it helps me fall asleep quicker. I really wish I could find something to control the adrenaline surge I seem to get every night when I lay down. The xanax helps me fall asleep quicker but I wish I could get rid of the adrenaline surge all together. No hang over feeling for me with the xanax thoughl! Good luc!
  3. No brilliant advice from here though I've enjoyed reading these. Good advice for the distant future. I have 4 and my oldest is 7. I'm still in denial that they are going to stay small, cute, and do everything I say for a cookie bribe forever!!! Brye
  4. It takes time and a whole lot of patience!!! I've had so many medication adjustments over the last 2 years. I'm not sharing that to be discouraging but if the 1st option isn't quite right there are so many combos that can be tried so try not to get discouraged!! Brye
  5. I live in Arkansas where it's supposed to be warmer and I think I may turn into a popcicle. I'm feeling your pain. I've been extra thankful for my garage and my fireplace these days. We've even had wind chills below zero. I go outside and my hands turn blue and cyanotic looking. I HATE THAT!! HIBERNATE!!! Brye
  6. The gatorade was with my instructions to mix with the miralax I had to take. The miralax powder mixed in the gatorade wasn't really all that awful. I drank 32ozs of miralax/gatorade the eve before and the morning of. I would think you could wear your support stockings during if they're only thigh high ones. Hope all goes well!! Brye
  7. Do a little happy dance and then go take a nap! Welcome and I hope your treatment goes as smoothly as your diagnosis did!! Brye
  8. No brilliant tips but best of luck! I was lucky to get a quick diagnosis. I saved a lot on the stress. Not so lucky on the treatment success but at least they made the diagnosis quick!!! Finding a good cardiologist is so critical!! Take care! Brye
  9. I've noticed my hands get purple and cyanotic looking when I work out. I'll be checking out my palms tomorrow now to see. Interesting observation!! Brye
  10. I'm very dependant on my atenolol!!! Can't miss more than a dose without my racing heart returning. It does sometimes make me a little too bradycardic occasionally but that is better than the racing heart!! Brye
  11. I also take my BB and florinef and they seem to work together. I also took Midodrine for a stretch to support my BP while taking my BB since it was dropping too low! Good luck! Brye
  12. I ask myself that but I'm not giving up!! I plan to keep searching for a better quality of life!! If I don't have the energy for it this week I'll wait until I do!! I will remain eternally optomistic though that all my hard work, praying, and determination will eventually make a difference! This can't be as good as it gets for me!! Brye
  13. I have POTS and I'm a fainter. I had some bleeding problems recently after I started taking Aspirin for a heart defect. I had a colonoscopy and It wasn't too bad. They had a ton of gatorade factored into the equation and it all went fine for me! I laid around the day of. It was only 4 hours prior for mine of no liquids and prior to that it was clear liquids! Good luck! Mine were just little Hemhroids(spelled wrong I'm sure) Thanks goodness. They sound miserable!!! Take care! Brye
  14. I had some runs of V-Tach during my hospital stay. They couldn't reproduce them during my EP study! I was hoping there was something they could fix as well. I knew they couldn't fix the POTS but V-Tach is a scary rhythm to miss! Brye
  15. I have one I really like that I ordered on the internet off of Jonathans No excuse workout web site. You can probably Google it. I paid less than 50$ for it. I think there was a sale when I bought it for less than 40$. I didn't realize I had to wear a chest strap either but it's not uncomfortable. Actually I've noticed my HR"s are exactly the same as my watch on the work out equipment at the gym too. I'm wondering if they have the same signal or something. I've been meaing to ask that! I found Jonathans sight through the fly lady sight. She's basically a life organizer on the internet. I have all these big goals ... organize my life, work out, 2010 is going to be a busy year! Good luck! Brye
  16. I have 4 kids and I'll share some of our favorites!! We have a bingo DVD that my kids love!!! IT happens to be sponge bob but I'm sure there are Dora ones out there. Does your daughter have a Hand Held leapster? My 3 year old loves it. There's a game that comes built in that allows them to draw pictures. You just click the pen and make a pig or ladybug run across the screen. You can choose your colors, decorate a farm. As they grow you can buy games to fit their age group. They're all educational too!! Our other favorite is those foamy stickers you get at hobby lobby or other craft stores. Wal-mart even carries them. Not horribly messy and my kids love pulling the backs off stickers. Wish we lived nearby ... she could come over and play!!! Good luck! Brye
  17. You could join our Yahoo DYSfitness group!! It's just getting started and we've been working on setting our goals! I think it's going to be a good group to share our accomplishments and setbacks with a very understanding group of people!! I've been working on increasing my activity and so far it's been going fairly well! I'm a little frustrated though because when I stop working out I have such horrible brain fog. The best thing I can compare it to is a drunk feeling! So far though I'm just proud I haven't fallen off the equipment!!! Hope you can join us!! Brye
  18. Lutheran here! Similar scene...stand, sit, stand, sit! It's a POTS nightmare!!! Welcome! Brye
  19. Congrats on Baby #2! Glad it all went well. Hope you get caught up on your sleep soon! Brye
  20. Nights are prime fainting time for me. I take xanax at bedtime to try to control the tremors which doesn't help. I crawl to the bathroom some times during the night! Brye
  21. Bella Mia: I hope you find that money. Why did you let someone go through your house unattended ... because you're trusting and you believe in the good in people. Things like that just don't even cross your mind. THat's how I am. So trusting that I don't even think something like that would ever happen!! We had some college students over for a get together quite a while ago and I left my kids envelopes with their dollars they had earned out on a table. My son Jonathans dollars mysteriously disappeared. I'm still hoping it'll turn up here because it's hard for me to believe someone would take it. How dumb of me for leaving it out but I just didn't think people we invited to our house would do something like that. I guess they needed it more than we did!! Good luck to you!!! Love that you adopted the family for the whole year and not just for Christmas!!! Brye
  22. I live in Arkansas actually. Some hibernate during the winter ... I do in the summer. Thank goodness for my air conditioning!!! Brye
  23. The good and the bad news! I'm sure you must be so relieved to know what you're dealing with for sure at least. Hope there are some good treatment options that work for you!! Brye
  24. We have 2 sets of stairs I could do without. It forces me to exercise but I'm afraid of falling down on them. I'm thankful for my carpet since I'm a fainter. Must have a built in shower chair or accomodate a shower chair. I'm so thankful for my attached garage as well. That way if I do pass out at least I'm inside! Good luck!! Brye
  25. I love the holidays! My kids were so excited my oldest is 7 so all 4 still believe in Santa! I love their energy and happiness. These past 2 years however it just about did me in! I can barely keep up as it is and to add one more thing for me to deal with just tires me out!! My older 2 are in school but not during "break" so that leaves me home alone the majority of a 2 week time by myself with 4 kids to entertain. They have all these new toys to play with and want to play their new games which means wrestling with packaging, finding batteries, finding the on/off switches, assembling, ... you get the idea. Then there is the constant conflict resolution involved as well. I love that I have this site where I can give my good honest take on the holidays! Then there is my facebook post about how happy and fun it was for all and how we're looking forward to our "break" this season!! Happy holidays and thanks for listening!! Brye
