leaving for Ohio tomorrow morning

Hi folks...

I'm just dropping a quick line to say hey!..I am leaving bright and early tomorrow morning to go see Dr. grubb to have the EP study done.. w/ the possability of an ablation if he finds the things that he is looking for.

I'm nervous to say the least... But I do have total trust in Dr. Grubb and know that he wont do anything that will make me sicker... and that I am very fortunate to have Dr. Grubb doing this and not some other gung ho cardiologist who knows nothing about pots...

I'm more so nervous about how my body is going to react to things.. the the actual test.. though that doesnt sound inviting either..

So wish me luck and throw out a prayer or 2 that my body behaves ( hahahahaha thats funny.. my body behave!!) on monday and tuesday.. and that this will help me.. not hurt me!!

linda!

i have been thinking about you a lot and wondering when your possible ablation was scehduled...i couldn't remember exactly and i knew it was sometime in November! i was hoping you would post before you left...so i could at least give you a proper send off! :P i haven't been on at all lately and haven't been up on posts, so i am glad that i caught this one b.c........I REALLY want to let you know how much i will be thinking about you and hoping that things go smoothly. i understand having a body that never cooperates!

who will be taking you? will you have to stay at MCO for a while? i am glad that dr. grubb will be the person making the decision about whether to ablate or not, as it seems he would know the right reasons to do it and the right reasons not to!

it's very, very difficult to stay calm and centered before something like this! it's also hard to go in without expectations...b/c we want so much to feel better and to have SOMETHING work. i really hope you will get some answers and i am glad that you are in the best of hands...

all the best, linda, and please, please post and let us know how it went as soon as you can, k????

Hope its not too late for this suggestion...speaking from personal experience and having to go the 11 hrs NJ to Dr Grubb last June ( and again coming up in March). Travel is so hard, the motion etc...Perhaps you can have someone drive you??? instead of the bus. Itd be worth even paying them and putting them up for the 1-2 nites in the hotel by the hospital...great discount rates...This way Lying down in the back seat you may have less problems!!!! Plus you could stop as needed for a break...rather than trapped on the bus. Maybe even a relative wouldnt mind??? At least you may want to travel home by car.....try to contact the colleges nearby...its Thanksgiving break...there will be hundreds of kids/cars driving back east. My daughter will be one of them...but as she goes to Miami in Oxford she wont be near Toledo...or else Id make her get you!!!!

just a thought :P

Best of luck and prayers to you.

I am glad you are seeing Dr. Grubb as ONLY an ANS specialist should be making decisions about ablations!! You are in good hands.

Hydrate yourself for the trip and be well.

Do you have one of those crescent shaped blow up pillows? My sister uses those on airplanes and says they are great.

Do keep us posted.
