  12. .. i have a call into my ent.. BUT ill ask anyways.. do you ever have trouble with ear pain after tubes are placed in? and do you feel like there is water or fluid in your ear? and the big question.. are you really sensitive to noise? I mean more then the normal potsy senstivity to noise? But its like everything is amplified times 1000 or something.. and its not a nice sound/feeling....Im about going out of mind.. all i want to do is stay in a nice totally silent room.. b/c noise is bothering me that MUCH.. is that normal i wonder? I woke at about 3am.. feeling like this.. and am wondering if its normal.. like i said tho im waiting for a call back from my ENT....I dont remember this happening last time with tubes.. but then again that was along time ago..... thanks
  13. lukkycharm-- this is my third time around with tubes as well... I had them in at about 5 and 9.. and i was put under as well then.. But this time around.. I opted to have it done in the office.. b/c i thought pots wise.. i'd like to avoid something will make me feel cruddier....I too have had problems with bad ear infections since as far back as i can remember... when i was 9 i got asevere ear infection in my left ear..and the ENT (acutally the same one i saw teusday:) ) had to surgically remove the tube.. OUCH that really hurt.... I hope that my hearing returns as well...
  14. thnaks all.. my ear is feeling a bit better today.. and im slightly less yucky feeling...Im not looking forward to getting the other ear done.. But im noticing a considerable difference in my hearing after the tube is put in in my right ear... for example.. my kitty gorgeous george.. I always thought that he had a really soft MEOW.. and that you could not hear him purr.. litttle did i realize that gorgeous george DOES infact meow quite loudly.. and he purrs SOO loud that im amazed that this is the first time i have heard his motor running!... he is so cute he has been an extra snuggle bunny since yesterday.. UHm Im really hope that i have good improvement in my other ear.. and wont have to entertain the prospects of hearing aides any time soon.. i go for another hearing test in roughly 3 weeks... to see how the right ear is doing....
  15. this is too cute and sweet not to pass on Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouth of babes. A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think: "When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." Rebecca- age 8 "When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy - age 4 "Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." Karl - age 5 "Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs." Chrissy - age 6 "Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." Terri - age 4 "Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." Danny - age 7 "Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss" Emily - age 8 "Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen." Bobby - age 7 (Wow!) "If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate," Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet) "Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday." Noelle - age 7 "Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well." Tommy - age 6 "During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore." Cindy - age 8 "My mommy loves me more than anybody You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night." Clare - age 6 "Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken." Elaine-age 5 "Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford." Chris - age 7 "Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day." Mary Ann - age 4 "I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones." Lauren - age 4 "When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (what an image) Karen - age 7 "Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross." Mark - age 6 "You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget." Jessica - age 8 And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry"
  16. hi.. i went to the ent this morning.. and had a hearing test done.. uhm it showed that i have approx lost 1/3 of my hearing in both my ears...the ear dr thinks that it is from a estation tube problem... and a combonation of my chiari.. so the ent gave me a few option 1. i could go to the surgery center and be put under anestesia and have teh tubes put in 2. have it done in the office 3 shoot straight for the hearing aides SO I decided NOT to do anestesia b/c sedation takes me several days to recovery from.. i didnt want to deadl with worsening pots symptoms on top of everything else.. and i certainly dont want to get no hearing aides yet.. geez im only 25! so i had 1 tube put in today and i will go back in 3 weeks and get the other tube put in my other ear...my lord the expereince of having a tube put in awake was not pleassant! they lept sunctioning.. and it felt like they where going to suck my eyeball out thru my ear with that thing... and the suctioning was making feel like i was giong to faint...So i decided to wait on getting the other ear done.. i dont think my body could have handled suctioning thru both ears in one day! So im wondering for those of you with tubes in.. how long before you stopped feeling yucky? ie dizzyness...general yuck feeling? feverish around the and behind the ear? i think i did the right thing not doing anestesia.. and im praying that my hearing will come back so i dont have to get hearing aides... maybe now i can stop say HUh what did you say? r WHAT?? why are you whispering
  17. for the past several afternoons in a row.. im awaken from my nap with severe nausea.. the right before you puke nausea that makes your mouth water.. and think if i dont move quick there is going to be a mess... the nausea doesnt go away.. and i dont throw up...it last welll into the evening.... wondering if you all that deal with this.. what do you do to make it stop.. I havent started anything new yet....
  18. Oh man this totally drives me nuts!!!!! I had someone very recently tell me that I dont know what its like to work and be tired everyday.. I was like WHAT!!! I had to set this person straight... I told him that I did at one time work..(and i DID have pots at the time only i ddint know.. i had fatigue but it was nothing like it now)..... and i remember how i would feel at the end of the night clicking out....what i would give to feel "THAT" kind of tired again.....and that the fatigue that i have daily NOW is profound... and that it feels like ive done stenous exercise for hours at a time while having a case of the flu... that is what my "feeling "tired" feels like" I dont mean to down play what another person feels like b/c one can not truly know how on another feels.. but yet at the same time i hate it when somebody belittle or downplays/minimizes how im really feeling as well.. and would honestly like some respect at least.. had to jump in on this topic... b/c ppl doing this irritates the you know what out of me!
  19. Uhm I actually dont remember if i cough'd or not.. but i do remember getting painful spasms inmy esophagus.. OUCH!!! I do know that congested feleing that you talking about though.. i get it out of the blue at other times.. its weird this illness we have!
  20. Uhm i had a dvd in but it was on pause.. i can not concentrate on tv and talking to somebody at the same .. i get flustered... and i was half laying down.. half propped up on a stack of pillows..at a small angle..and had a body pillow under my knee's... But come to think of... when i started laughing I did sit up quickly b/c i felt like i could not breath.. then once i stopped laughing i laid back down ....so gravity could have played a role in things.. what ever happened it was not cool!!!!
  21. LP?? uh that is lumbar puncture right? well maxine i do hope that they can figure the lesions out...maybe if they figure that out you will feel a bit better.. if they treat wahtever is causing the lesions ... i know you have more then just that going on.. but treating the right stuff.. might actually make s big difference in how you are feleing over all... I know your nervous about an LP being done...be sure to discuss this with your dr...the ones treating you for youe eds and stuff to girly... hope that you get answers soon juju HUGS
  22. Uhm for long car trips.. i like ernie allready mentioned..take several days of nothing but sleeping and resting... all last wk.. i chilled out and slept alot .. after 1 full week of traveling... I know formyself that i push push push traveling --feel really sick...but still push.. and come home and all tha pushing comes back to bite me.. and im donw till my body says hey you can now move about... couple of tricks for car riding... dont drive obviously.. But do sit up front in the passneger seat.. i find that sitting up front (for me i need to see what is going on).. is a bti easier onmy and there is more leg room... and the seat reclines.. if no one is behind you that is....Uhm bring sun glasses even if it is not sunny... you can go to walmart and get a cervical neck pillow... I personally have had 2 that I LOVE!!! one is a memory foam cervical pillow... its U shape... and the other one was a buckwheat hul filled cervical pillow.. OMG! that is the BEST! so comfy... but use something like that on car rides..it helps take many bathroom breaks.. and streat/walk around a bit every few hours... OH YEA.. if you have motions sickness and or nausea problems.. bring along some pepto or anti nausea pills.. they are life savers! just car trip idea's that help me..to not crash more thejn i allready do when i get home... hope your feleing better soon... PS i live in pa.. which end where you visiting? Pa is a pretty state... despite yucky turnpike issues.. that isnt so pretty...

I have the same kind of reaction also (not all the time tho) with heavy crying.. sometimes.. you just have to let out it out and know that you are going to feel like death... firewomen--UGH I had a nasty paralysis early this morning.. i really hate them... Uhm and yes the palms of my hands sweat at times.. and i do get nausea.. and really weak feeling too.. BEE-- keep the jokes coming! love you too maxine..awe i love flowers! esp. roses! ty im actually thinking to my self after reading the replys that sundays tail spin was a combo of pots and chiari...its hard to dicifer what goes with what...only that it sure is there... I think part of the reason why my body flaked out so bad also is b/c this morning when i woke up.. i woke up with the start of a cold or something... and paralysising this morning when i get bad ones like i had early this morning is my bodys way of telling me HEY!!!... I do hope that this is not going to be a regular ocurance.. b/c i love to laugh.... laughter really is healing... and i thuroughly enjoy funny stuff.. stories people.. movies ect....
