  2. There is no cure for mito, do you think it would matter if you did or did not have it?
  3. I have PTSD and my doc thinks an SSRI would be good, what is your advice folks? I have low BP, neuopathy and lots of other stuff that could autonomic, we aren't sure yet. I do have IST and take a beta blocker. I took prozac years ago and had to take 100mg a day and needed a benzo to help me sleep as the neuopathy got much worse
  4. I always error, but never heard of IV saline helping that? make sure the cuff is tight enough, I have a small arm and if it's loose it never works
  5. how about in home help? good alternative esp summer since so many teens/college kids out and need jobs
  6. Jared I have been taking about 1/4 off it it, it's hard as they are not scored to be exact. You got me thinking, I lost 20lbs recently, maybe that is why my low BP has been worse? I'm not big either only 4"10, so maybe blood pressure avg. is for bigger people? I don't want it too high like my pulse due to bad hearts in my family and I know lower is better, but it's been WAY too low. My PVC's have been more often, those scare me :-(
  7. my cardio isn't sure what I should do, comforting isn't it? he isn't sure why I feel so bad at 80/40 and below, huh? How do I get my GP or Endo to treat it
  8. where do you get salt pills? the low BP is driving me batty
  9. kluesyk it sounds like you go to my endo!
  10. I felt great after mine, next day too!
  11. if the SSRI helps why get off of it? I'm confused my GP wants me to go to a psychiatrist to get an SSRI, I took prozac years ago 100mg, gave me a ton of energy but couldn't sleep
  12. my ACTH and Cortisol were very low, then with more testing they were borderline normal/low and my endo doesn't want to treat it. I did try a cortisol trial and it felt good until 3-4 hours later when I crashed. I battle with no energy, low BP, low blood sugar and all the other stuff on the list. I have a pituitary tumor so it all fits with secondary insufficiency. Does anyone know if low dose cortisol can do any harm?
  13. told I don't snore. Had a test in nov that didn't show drops so my doc doesn't understand why I have them now, but it was ALL night and I feel awful now I was so scared I hardly slept
  14. I wake up a few mins after falling asleep short of breath, the pulse ox says my oxygen is 79-85. My husband says my breathing is more shallow. back in nov my doc did a sleep study and it never happened, only the past 3 weeks that I know of. any ideas?
  15. I just keep waiting to see the doctors, the primary says to ask the endo or cardio. last night it was 80/40's all night and I felt awful. so tired of feeling like this and crackers make me gag by now. I'm off of afood all together
  16. I take atenolel 25mg to lower my heart rate, lately I get low BP like 80/40ish sometimes lower and often the machine can't find it, it's making me dizzy and scared every day. I missed my EP appt and my GP is useless, is this normal? what can I do? I'm tired of being scared every AM
  17. I'm having this now, makes my chest feel tight too when I have cramps. Glad I'm not alone but wish it wasn't so scary
  18. how do you function? I hate it when mine is so low!
  19. 90/52 is good for me, funny how different we all are!
  20. I know about feeling scared, I had this show up recently at the ER and no one said a peep. I have episodes of 4-6 quick beats and I was told they thought it was mini SVT's. BUT they scare the heck out of me. I wonder if it's the V-tach. I have been really bad the last 2 weeks, wish I had a monitor
  21. your pulse is low! Does it not bother you?
  22. thank you so much for the replies everyone. They are going to try to get me into the EP doc next week, the nurse said she can't see me, she'd not be able to help. GP did another EKG today which was normal, it's been 3 years since my last echo. I also looked up PTSD and it fits a lot of how I've been recently. A few of the meds they list give low BP, so I'll pass on them. I had non sustained vtach on my monitor at the ER recently, I know I get something which is a PVC like feeling then 6-10 quick beats then fine and it scares the heck out of me and makes me a bit dizzy. A doc did a sort of tilt table test once and I failed
  23. I have had sinus tach of unknown cause for 11 years and take a beta blocker, 3 years ago I had my first SVT and had awful issues while pregnant. Low BP, low blood sugar, high pulse etc. Had the baby, and it didn't stop. They thought I had low adrenal gland function this year since my tests were low but the doc isn't so sure now. I get funny palps every day and SVT's every month usually with cycles of when the low sugar and low BP is worse. I've been under a lot of stress (family disaster) and now the last 2 weeks lots of high morning HR's up to 160 and SVT's and funny flip flop things with so many quick beats in a row. I feel so scared all the time. I never had this before. I also have clamy hands and feet and chills. Whenever I get the SVT I get chills so bad it looks like a seziure. The docs say they have no idea. My husband came across Dysautonomia the other day and says it sounds like me. The electrophysiologist (who I need to get back to) said I had inappropriate sinus tach which is part of the family? I'm taking anxeity meds which aren't helping, I'm still scared. My general doc thinks it's all just panic attacks
