  1. Def get a lawyer. I know i wouldnt have won without mine. Most wont take you on as a client untio the reconsideration stage because you wouldnt have enough backpay usually. My lawyer will be taking out 6 grand from my back pay.I would apply ASAP because its a long process. Mine was over two years :/ Good luck and please keep us updated!
  2. I was induced and did great. My bp did drop.from the epidural, but it wasn't bad. The only issue I had, was that I was soooo hot. Whether that was from labor.or POTS, I have no clue. I only pushed for ten mins, and PP was great for me. I felt like I could breath again. I thought out of pregnancy, labor, and after, labor was the easiest. I would def not want a c section unless absolutely necessary. There are pretty big risks and you are down for a lot longer after. I was up and walking 3 hours after birth and never took any pain meds except for Tylenol.
  3. I just recieved my fully favorable decision for disability!! i had my hearing on the 10th and it only took 8 days to recieve it. just proves that even when your young you still have a chance!
  4. Thank you!! Yes we do! Now that this process is over I can take a break from all the appointments lol. We should plan something in the Phoenix area. Where city are you in again??
  5. It went really well. I was in there only 15 mins. The judge and VE didn't ask me any questions. As soon as my lawyer was done questioning me, he said he had enough evidence. My lawyer said when that happens it's always an approval. Still trying really hard not to get my hopes up though. I am just going to try Boynton obsess about it and wait for the decision in case it is a denial. So happy it's finally over though! It's been a long process.
  6. I love that theory! We have had several conversations about it on here
  7. Thank you all! Sorry it took so long to reply, I just got over the stomach flu .I am going to do my best and just hope for the best too. Thank you all again!!
  8. I am so nervous. My hearing is in 8 days for disability! Ive talked with my lawyers a lot and they have gone over what to and what not to say. Knowing me, I will completely forget and start rambling on to the judge because a lack of blood flow and nerves is never a good thing. Im nervous about a couple questions. One is what prevents you from working? I honestly dont even know where to start. Its like do i pick one of the millions of symptoms that are disabiling and just go with that? Also Dr. Goodman prescribed me a wheelchair last year. I have used it a dozen times, but these last six months i really havent gone anywhere. I usually just go to my moms and doctors appt. I feel like i should bring it to show i have one, but i dont want the judge to think im over exaggerating. Honestly i will probably need it if i want to be mentally there because my hearing is at 8 am and ill be bearly concious. Any suggestions or advise??
  9. Tip I have the same thing too. Every thing is.dim and dark and I only notice certain things that I am really looking at. This is also a big reason I can't drive. Do you also have problems looking at things that are higher up in your vision field? For instance, IM sitting in front of my Christmas tree and I only notice the bottom part. I have to squint my eyes to look up. This happens in grocery stores and pretty much everywhere. It's really hard to explain. I notice some relief.when I tilt my head back. I think organs to due with not enough blood flow to the vision center of the brain.
  10. I had it in one eye and it turned out to be optic neuritis. However the vision in it is getting worse
  11. I did good in my first trimester, it was the last that was very hard on me. All the extra weight gave me severe tachycardia, but I know.other members who had the opposite effect. Good luck and don't be afraid.of pregnancy or.labor, it's parenting that you should be haha jk...kind of lol
  12. I wouldn't worry. I saw a female geneticist who said the same.thing. I don't think they are talking about us being hot or sexy, but nice dressed and taken care of like sokis said
  13. I can force myself to walk a distance but I won't be cognitively there. I will get adrenaline surges, feel drink, turn pale as a ghost ect. However, if I actually want to enjoy myself and be present, I use a wheelchair.
  14. Oh yeah we both have hyper joints and my grandma used to pass out in the shower.
  15. My Mom was diagnosed with POTS and OI last year at age 50 from Dr. Goodman. Hers started much later in life than mine and she is not as bad as me (can still drive and work). However, she has some major autoimmune issues such as crohns disease. They though it was just ulcerative colitis and removed her colon years ago but.it spread to her stomach. She has had over 20 surgeries for various reasons. My brother and uncle also have ulcerative colitis, so IM just waiting for that fun to hit me too.:/
  16. when i had my first TTT, the cardiologist didnt even mention POTS. They too just told me i had orthostatic hypotension. I went to another cardiologist following that appt., and he said based off my high hr, i had POTS and he gave me the diagnosis then.
  17. ugh it is a slow horrible thing! Criminals get their trials faster than disabled people do! What is really upsetting is going through a two year process, just to. recieve a denial
  18. I tried to get approved on the record, but i guess its really hard if you are under 55. I still have a chance until my hearing, but im not holding my breath lol. I am going to meet with my lawyer next month in person and he is giving me some video to watch...not sure whats on it. I am def. not trying to get my hopes up,but i just might have a stroke if im denied haha
  19. Ugh sorry for all the typos....between my phone and tablet, I can't win!
  20. I know quite a few members wanted to know the process length. I got a letter from my lawyer todaythat says my hearing is January 10th. I appealed reconsideratom on January 13 of this year, so it's almost exactly a year. They said I would recurve a decision around March/April.
  21. The waether is really nice in AZ right now. Hope you are feeling better
  22. i see a psych too and i have anxiety/depression secondary to my illness. I would not have it if i wasnt for my illness. My psych is awesome though. He complely understands my physical issues and agrees that its my main problem. He helps me try to life life with this illness.
  23. Hands down head symptoms or dizziness, eye.issues, feeling drink all the time. It stops me front driving
  24. I think its more of hormones than actual blood loss because my symptoms increase way before my period actually does.
  25. I had morphine after my surgery and it just dropped my bp pretty low. I was in a lot of pain, so i really didnt care too much. I took morphi ne tabs at home and did pretty okay too. I was on lexapro and klonopin and also on the lowest dose. I too noticed if i was even an hour late, and my cardio suspected it was because i didnt take it just for anxiety, but it also stabilized my bp and hr.
