  1. Yup I was for 8 months and after afew meds and getting my muscles back I started working and driving again. Wasnt completely back like a normal person but 80 percent better.
  2. Ive talked to my doctor about this, and he said vaccines can be a trigger. I guess they rarely cause the actual illness, but if you are prone to it, it can bring it on. Especially autoimmune, like RA and MS.
  3. Also hr can only help bp for so long, same for adrenaline. When I used to go shopping on Metroprolol, I could barely stand 5mins. I had a decnt hr and no adrenaline, but without those, I cant function. Ugh sorry for all thetypos, Im on my tablet
  4. Libby-I have had two cardiologists tell me that and i think my old neuro knew a little bit... basically for me atleast, POTSis a defensive mechanism when my bp drops. Anytime I try to stop my hr hrs, my blood pressure always bottoms out. I actually feel better with tachycardia and dont even notice it until it gets in the 150s and up.
  5. I took that also...it makes it worse because most of us need that high hr to keep up our blood pressure. The same goes for adrenaline. Without high hrs and adrenaline my bloodpressure goes right in the toilet.I cannot tolerate any bbs without either midorine or sojething to raise my bp to counter act the affects of not having a high hr.
  6. With my frist denial letter they told me I could work at a car toll both! lol I dont even think AZ has one...
  7. Unforunately there is no time frame. Some states are way more backlogged than others and te more medical records you have, the longer it takes them to go throug them. I have been on a lot of disability forums and have seen people approved in just one month, while some wait longer than 9 months to get a denial letter. There is no guessing with disability lol
  8. I just did my stationary bike last night, and my hr gets in the 190s and i feel like death for hour after...should i keep going? I would call up Dr. Goodman, but heis out of town.
  9. Almost everyone gets denied first and the second round, even fewer are approved( reconsideration stage is very hard to get an approval because unless you havecsome drastic changes, they will just go off the first decision). Your best chance is at the third stage, which is the hearing. I am hoping im close to that stage soon because ive been waiting over a year after my second denial to get a hearing date... This process is just terrible.
  10. ive noticed that if i am already having hig adrenaline leves, it does not take much to set me off. its funny you just mentioned this because it happened to me tonight. i lost it with my dad and i felt the surge or rage, even to the point my vision turns white. its really scary after it happens to know i can get that angry. it never happened like that pre pots, vut i noticedmit really hapened a lot for me when i was in my first trimester during pregnancy, so maybe hormones?
  11. Have you had allery testing? My only symptom I had was severe sinus swellin in my ears and sinuses. I have no drainage, itching, watery eyes, sneezing ect. I testing at an 11 for grass and hay, which is the highest you can get. I had no clue until I got the testing done and mine is year roubd.
  12. yup Dr. Goodman wrote in his notes I have it....he didnt mention it to me either, so im guessing its not a huge deal lol
  13. I was tested at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, seeing Dr. Goodman. I know for sure I was having severe adrenaline issues that day. Mine are in cycles...2 weeks before my period, the arenaline issues start up and i get high bp readings when standing. The weeks after my period, i have no adrenaline, and my bp bottoms out with sycope episodes, ect.
  14. Also my resting hr was around 60 so going up to 110 should still be enough evidence? My previous Ttt was a resting hr of 80 up to 190 and funny thing was, I was actually doing much better than then I am now.
  15. Yes I did the TTT and 3 others. I think it was because I had so much adrenaline that it shot my bp way up. I am just hoping they dont come back and say I am fine now because im still housebound and worried I wont get treatment. However, they said they dont just go off the TTT but also the breathing tests and the sweat. I was just shocked because I get worse readings and symptoms from doing laundry than I did in that test.
  16. I did the autonomic panel on Friday. The TTT was very diffeent frim my last one. I had a resting hr in the 60s and the highest it went was 110. Im not used to seeing it that low however. My bp actually shot up to 145/90 when at rest it was 117/70. After 5 mins it leveled out to 120/90. I felt dizzy and kind of nauseous but nothing like the last cardiac TTT i had done before. Last time I dropped to 60/30 with an hr of 190 within 7 mins. When I did the Mayo testing, I was having really bad adrenaline problems, such as the burning skin, dumping fluids, and anxious feelings. Not sure if that is why this test was so different? Last week when I took my hr at home I was at 164 from just doing the dishes, so how come it didnt shoot up on the test?
  17. I actually lost weight on lexapro.
  18. yes I do and I aldo did pretty great during pregnancy and relapsed horribly after...had multiple ANAs too but rheme couldnt figure it out.
  19. Im thinking its either autoimmune or my body is too busy figting the cold to deal with the autonomic stuff.
  20. when I get sick, my POTS symptoms go way done. I actually feel ten times better with a head cold. It really helps my fatigue and.dizziness
  21. if you search the word lexapro, i have wrote tons about it...im not sure how the ssri works, but it helped me so much.
  22. Went from being bed bound for 8 months to working and driving again...pretty much my miracle drug. If zoloft doesnt work, try another.. it took me a couple tries before I found the right one.
  23. I literally have those exact same symptoms and my therapist told me it was a fear of loosing control of your body...those fears started when i came down with this illness.
  24. Ever since I had my daughter, I have wanted to get a breast augumentation. Obviously with POTS there are risks, but im tired of this illness getting in the way of everything. Has anyone had elective surgery done??
