Sorry to here about how things have been going. I want to let you know I understand kind of what you are going though just a different deal. I have worked for a company for the last 4 1/2 years. All I wanted to do was have this reg. Marketing position. I work 4 years for this job. In May even though my health wasn't the best they came to me a offered my deam job. In auguat my health was getting so bad, i found meself not even beable to get to work so I step down and went back to a managers job. I hard to give up my deam to do whats best for my health, Someday I get up and hate myself for giving it up, It hard to see someone else doing the thing that where my job. I know I did the right thing for my health but its still hard to deal with. I am learning to take one day at time, and deal with just today. I am learning to look at the postives, that today I am feeling good, so or the fact I was able to walk a few blocks, or the big one for me is I didn't feel sorry for myself because I can't keep up with other my age. I am learning that is ok to be the way I am. Who knows, maybe some day latter down the line I will be able to try to get the marketing job when my health is better, or maybe thing happen for reasons. Keep your head up!!!! Things will get better, and we are here for you! You need to do what best for you!!! Hang in there!!! Amy

I somtimes get swelling in my legs, but it goes away if I stay off my feet. Have a great night!

sunfish, thanks, that would be great! I am flying in on the 17th and will be there though the 23rd. My husband and son are coming too...... My son's 4th b-day is on the 22nd so I wanted to bring him with me! We wants to go to the zoo! Let me know it would be nice to meet someone else in person that has POTS!

Guess what my referal finally when though!!! I am going to to Cleveland! I am very happy yo me going but......... worried. I worried that what the outcome is going to be as this seems like a last chance kind of thing! After going from doctor to doctor telling me i have every from heart problrms, to having a pacemaker put, to be told it was in my head, to derpression, and the list goes on. Then a fem months ago telling me I have POTS. I turly beleive POTS is the 1st thing that really makes since, and meets all the things that seen to be going on, but am worried I will go out there and say, yes you have POTS like the other doctor, and say there no real treatment that will work for you, or come up with a hole new thing, I know that sounds dumb, but after 5 1/2 years of going thouhg this I have found out any thing is possable. At the same point I am really happy about going and hope they can find the right treatment for me! I know this my sound dumb I am just scared. So I am off to Cleveland for test. My 1st appointment is on October 18. The first test I have is going to be a tilt table test. ( I had one about 3 years ago, and i was the worst thing I got sick, and passed out, I hope that doesn't happen again, plus I not sure it it will all work the same now as I have a pacemaker?) Anyways thought I would give you all an undate of what was going on!

I have really bad chest pain on and off again for over a year. I had a doctor say it was caused by my Pots, but one time I went to the hospital my blood levels where off, another time my heart was out of rythem and then the other time they said there was nothing wrong. So I am not sure, but I do get it quit a bit! Good luck, hope you find out what the cause is, at least if you get checked out you will not have to worry any more!

I had knee surgery early this year, at the time I didn't know I had POTS, i was told I has Sick just tackycardia, and I had a pacemaker at that time, and I had no problems at all! Good Luck!

Tracy, Thanks for the information, I may need to take you up on it. I am not sure what I am going to due, I called again today, and I still do not have an answer. I am hoping things will go though but it noce to know there are other options! Thanks, Amy

Well heres the new news, I went back and saw my family doctor, I was so upset, and just tired of dealing with everything, I expressed how upset I was, he, sat and listen to me and was very understanding as always, he said he thinks it time to go to Cleveland. I am not sure want to think. I really want to find out wants going on with me, to see what things I can do, and if there is anything the other doctors have missed. The only done fall is I am waiting for my insuance to approve. So I am just at a stand still untill Bule Cross make up there mind, it hard as I live in Iowa so they don't like to pay I guess out side of Iowa! I am really worried that I am going to go to Cleveland and they say the same thing they said here, we are really sorry, but there is not much we can do. I know there is somthing really wrong. Maybe it just the POTS, maybe I need to just learn to deal with it, but somthing just doesn't seem right. Does that make since, or do I seem out in left field? Well keep it in you thoughts that Bule cross will approve the referal! Thank you soooooo much!

Glad to know I am not the only one, I tend to get up and sit for a while, take a shower, and sit on the seat in the shower, get out and lay back down and then most of the time I am ready to start going for the day! My heart rate is alot higher when I 1st get up, but it does last real long! Hopr things get better for you!

Guess what, went to family doctor today and he said he want to give me a referal to the Cleveland Heart Clinic to see POTS doctor. Only bad thing is we are waiting to see in my insunce will approve it as I live in Iowa, and this is out of state! Please keep this in your prayers!!!!! I just want to find out if there is anything I can do, and find a doctor that really know alot about POTS, as know one around here seems to know. Hopefully i will get good news on friday!!!!!!
