  1. How's gf working for you? Yes I love our pink Himalayan salt. I live in a small town and when my friend goes to the big city she grabs a ton at trader joes. Thanks for the good vibes.
  2. It's really bad when I go shopping or make a list for a family member to go and at the top I write my supplies... V8, eggs, cheese sticks, powerade zero and pretzels... I should get a memo pad with this already stamped on it. My hubby is rocking it today and picking up the powerade I forgot yesterday when we did a supermarket sweep. Horizontal day. Hope my employer understands. Genetic testing. Results are back for eds... Appt fri for results.
  3. Copy of recs... Always good to have it in your hand. Sorry you are going thru this.
  4. Go get em!!! That's exciting! I lasted my shift at work today...by lasted I mean that I made it to the bathroom to get sick and didn't pipe off to my coworker when she said you shouldn't have nausea with your tachycardic illness. Ding ding. Ready for round three tomorrow I hope
  5. You all need some relief!!!! Stay strong! And take a 10 minute vacation in the tub with Epsom salt with a lit Himalayan salt candle.
  6. I second katybug. Sounds good to me. My pharmacist has been great with supplements. Realizing there are interactions and smaller doses in oddball OTC meds.
  7. Amen Jon. Forget the old beastie boys song "you gotta fight for your right to party"... We have to fight for our health. It's been hard in my small town I was diagnosed here.. But see a big city specialist. There is tension between us all and shouldn't be. It's ok to not know... But come on and learn with us
  8. Guys I'm speechless and that says a lot. I love your posts and truly appreciate my new family here. Where are my tissues?????
  9. Hubby and I chatted about this before bed. I have so many shoulda woulda coulda things that are to late. They can still be done. But in a different time/space/ place. I've been sick with pots for a while. Hard to look back and realize it.
  10. Good luck to you!!! Keep us posted. What kind of work do you do?
  11. So after much thought... I switched to a desk job 4 days a week in August. Overall it's been good. I feel more awake and productive at work. On the flip side... I've experience more flares overall and my coworkers are getting frustrated, family too yet they understand. I've missed a handful of days since Aug which I felt was fantastic given the fact that last year I was bedbound and that I'm not on meds. With the exception of iv fluids if needed, multivitamin and vit d for deficiency. I do need this job for income and healthcare benefits. Looking to doc for recommendations for work. Have any of your docs written recommendations for work in regards to accommodations???
  12. Ahhhh gentle. I can see how that would happen
  13. Dancer I learned that too at the right time
  14. I hate admitting it. My mom was right. Clean underwear a must! You never know when you may go to the ER.
  15. Becia. Good point.thanks for that reminder!!!
  16. Love our animals!!!! Asking for help that's a good one... I am one stubborn lady. Glad I'm not alone.
  17. Can you think of one major thing you've learned since you've become sick? For me it was slowing down. Still hard. :/
  18. Yes foggy pain and nausea to name a few. When pressure rises and falls and change in seasons. I've been diagnosed for one year. So far summer is my fav time... Our summers are mild... Compared to spring in other parts of the us.
  19. Warm and gentle welcome! I've been a member for over a year now. Lots of info gained and shared. Truth be told I just found the thread with handy acronyms/ med terminology. That would've been helpful early on.
  20. Nap sounds good and a high protein snack or dinner. When my kids have school events I try to take the day off of work...rest, salt, fluids and protein for the ol noggin. Keep it up!
  21. I've come close to passing out while sitting in car... Hubby was driving me to er. I do agree with katybug. Positioning is important to consider. My pots specialist took her first look at me in her exam room and said don't you look like a pots patient. I was sitting on the table with my knees up to my chest and my arms hugging my legs. It feels more comfortable in a little ball.
  22. Me too. For the past week... I've been waking up at night a few times and have found I've slid off my pillows and have both arms resting above my head. I used to be a tummy sleeper til I got sick and have the chest pains. Typically propped up on my back or in fetal position. Trying to push thru work today. Tired and really swimmy
  23. One in the group of docs. Thx katybug! At least I know I'm not swimming alone
