  1. Dropping my head does it too sometimes! I wish there were ways we could bend without getting woozy!
  2. I am entering a sweepstakes to win the Polar Sports Watch M400 with heart rate sensor. Does anyone use this model or anyone close to it? How accurate is it? Is it better than a fitbit? I saved up and am waiting to buy a fitbit charge hr plum color but if i win this then I will not need to buy the fitbit. The polar m400 says it has a gps built in. Does that mean it will tell me how to get places? I want to be able to walk but i have no sense of direction. The only thing i don't care for is it has a heart sensor strap. I like the wrist based hr but hey if i win it I will use it .
  3. I noticed that different times when I bend down to pick up something or bend over and come back up I get woozy and I feel like i'm swaying. Also I hear a whooshing noise and feeling in my left ear when that happens too. Or i get the whooshing noise in my left ear randomly. Today though i am more woozy than usual when bending over to pet dogs or just bending to grab something. Has anyone else experienced this? Plus i have no idea what the whooshing sensation in my ear is! It is so frustrating when I am at the beach and want to pick up sea shells but the bending up and down make me so lightheaded!
  4. I know how you feel! I don't feel well in the heat either. Like its 64 degrees out which its perfect but my parents have the pellet stove on because apparently its supposed to get cold later this week and its making it so hot in here. It is 78 degrees indoors! My parents don't seem to get how sick the heat makes me feel. I get lightheaded cranky and just overall not feeling well. I had to sleep with my window open last night. I can't wait until we start using air conditioning. The only down side about air conditioners is stinkbugs get in the house through them. I am kind of afraid of stinkbugs lol. a month or two ago i went to put up my blind and a stink bug sprayed me!
  5. Wow! I don't know how i am going to drink that much! I was also debating on trying to stop drinking gatorade. Is there any all natural electrolyte drinks without fake sugars or bad ingredients? I also can't have caffeine. It is a struggle to drink plain water! I mean it tastes fine but i feel like it doesn't quench my thirst.
  6. Today is a beautiful day! Spring is definitely here! Its warmish and lots of birds are out today. On the other hand it seems like when winter turns to spring or summer to fall i do not feel well. once I get used to the change I feel better. But now I can tell spring is in the air and i am so foggy!!! So much brain fog!!!! I don't know why but my eyes are blurry as well!.I can't focus on my tablet my eyes won't focus. I can also tell my allergies are starting. My eyes have been burning yesterday and are itchy a little today. Also my nose has been a little stuffy at night when i try to sleep. I hate this as well because since its still a little cool out my parents still have the pellet stove on and won't turn it off since its supposed to get a little cooler during the week so its been like 73 74 degrees indoors which is terrible for me. I like when its 67 to 69 indoors. Have any of you noticed that your brain fog gets worse when seasons change? how does seasons changing make brain fog worse? I always thought that was strange that i am usually more brain foggy and fatigued when seasons change.
  7. Yea I guess I shouldn't take such hot showers. I always don't feel well after. and i had no idea hot showers did that to our veins!
  8. Update: I feel much better. When I was feeling like that this morning I sat down in front of a fan and ate a couple pretzels and after the pretzels I started feeling better.
  9. Last night I was so hot all night. Kept waking up. didn't sleep well at all. I felt okay when i woke up. I had breakfast two eggs with a slice of toast and some ritz. Then i got my shower. I always get a hot shower and i guess i was in t here longer than usual because the hot water ran out. Then all of a sudden now i feel like crap. really hot. cranky, shaky, heart racing and lightheaded feel like passing out.
  10. I get so nervous about taking new meds. I am always afraid of side effects. When I went to my neurologist a while ago he prescribed me 400 milligrams of vitamin b2. That medication doesn't have any side effects except it turns urine a fluorescent yellow. I like it. It has helped a lot. I don't get them as much and it kind of decreases the symptoms. I only have had more last month because i was out of it for a week and with being out of the b2 i had 4 migraines in two weeks. So it helps a lot without the side effects I mean everybody is different so some people might not be as effective but some it could. I know for me it works
  11. I know we should drink more than the average person because of having dysautonomia but how much should we be drinking? I usually drink two 20 ounce water bottles but i mix the water bottles with half g2 and half water. Sometimes i don't even drink two water bottles. I am probably not drinking enough. I am 107 pounds and am 4 foot 10. I have know idea how much I should drink. I remember a few years ago my cardiologist told me i should probably drink around a 2 liter bottle of water a day but then over the summer his assistant told me 64 oz. I don't know which one. How much water do you guys drink a day to feel better? I am always sluggish and tired so I don't think I am drinking enough.
  12. It must be terrible passing out! I only passed out once in my life when i was 11 i wasn't even diagnosed yet and they have no idea why. I think it was because weatherization people who come and put in new windows. They were finishing up and they put a big fan in the doorway and sucked the air out in the house to check to see if the windows were in place and right after they did that i passed out and turned blue. they couldn't find anything wrong in the emergency room. Becia i'm glad your starting to feel better! Katybug and Bellgirl i hope you guys feel better soon! I am adjusting okay now with the time change. I like how it is light out a little longer
  13. I actually felt okay this morning. I thought I was going to be tired from losing an hours sleep. I woke up got ready for church did make up then left for church. While doing my make up I accidentally got mascara on the bridge of my nose. I was in a rush and was going to wipe it off before i left. I got to church and then at the end of service when our pastor was doing the closing prayer i realized crap i forgot to wipe it off!!! So i spent the whole service talking to the other young adults trying to make some friends and i'm there with a small but noticeable black smudge on my nose! lol. It was embarrassing! and i realized my zipper was halfway down as well!!! I guess i was tired and didn't realize it lol. Anyway my parents picked me up from church since i don't drive and got home had lunch then spent 3 hrs packing! I go to my grandmas house for a week once a month. She only lives 30 minutes away but packing is so overwhelming!!! It did not help matters that it was 75 degrees in our home because it was so warm out! I was miserable and lightheaded from the heat which made me pack even slower! Then in the car on my way to my grandmas the sun was on me so i was hot then! Then we got to my grandmas and hung out some then my parents left and i had dinner and here i am. I am exhausted!!! It is also weird how the sun is still out when at this tme yesterday it wasn't! really bizarre.
  14. It starts with the aura's. When I get blurry vision so blurry i can't see then i get flickering lights in the corners of my eyes like lightning. Then I get really lightheaded and the right side of my face goes numb and my right hand goes numb then my tongue and back of throat. I get slurred speech and then finally after about 30 minutes to an hr the aura's stop and then i get pain. luckily my pain doesn't get too bad but i get pain in the left side of my head above and around my eye and temple and i get nausea. I used to get vomiting but since i am avoiding my triggers they aren't as bad. My triggers include sodium nitrate processed meats. Fake sugars low fat yogurts and frozen dinners and tv dinners and canned soups. usually they come every six months but they are more frequent lately. last week i had one and the week before that i had 3 in 2 days!
  15. I get like that when I have anxiety. I get nervous when I am out and about in stores and shopping. It used to be so bad that when I would go shop I would get overwhelmed and have diarrhea and get sweaty and not want to eat. When I am highly anxious or stressed I get where I can't eat and have diarrhea as well. to get more water you can try to eat foods that are high in water like lettuce fruits and water melon and things like that. Have you tried gatorade? I drink G2 all the time everyday I water them down though i mix half gatorade and half water.
  16. I had another migraine yesterday!!! I had three last wee and now one this week. I usually don't get them this close together. My headache is gone today but I am experiencing what they call the migraine hangover. I am extremely fatigured more than usual after migraines. I think I did too much today I should have just stayed home and rest. I woke up at 7 instead of 830 am today and I had to clean out my fish tank which took me almost 2 hours of standing and scrubbing. Then right after that my stepdad came home early from work because he was finished from the day and he drove me around to get pictures of the river with snow on it which I wanted to do but now I am even more tired! So tired its hard to function!! Tomorrow I plan to stay home all day and relax. Now I am very tired, irritable and anxious and I just want to get back to normal :/
  17. Thanks guys! I am slowly getting used to it! I use it some take a break use my other computer. dizzy girls i get the same way! i don't like going to the grocery store or target or walmart or khols and places like those because the fluorescent lights bother me especially when they bounce off the tile floor! and carpets bother me also! also i have noticed that when i read and the page in my book is red i get where it seems like lightning bounces off the red and it makes me dizzy! its really strange! and i don't get vertigo i get a wierd woozy feeling like my head is on a boat but i don't get nauseous just woozy. and another trigger for me is when i am shopping and i have to look up on a shelf or if i have to bend up and down a lot!
  18. A couple weeks ago I won a laptop, a macbook pro 13 inch with retina display. The only problem is it makes me sick. I tried using it a little yesterday and then a little today and when i use it i feel disoriented weak and almost seasick kind of feeling. I don't know if its because I'm not used to the small screen or if i am still anxious because i have never used mac before. I have always used windows. I hope i can get used to it without it making me disoriented and woozy. I am not used to a small screen like this and everything being so sharp. Have any of you ever had a problem like this? Do you guys have any tips on how to get used to the computer without it making me sick? I really want to get used to it because its a really cool laptop.
  19. I have dysautonomia but no pots. I have orthostatic hypotension and other dysautonomia symptoms but I never had pots. Its confusing!

  21. Wow! That must be frustrating not feeling well all week! I have been drinking Gatorade too. I am never eating ham again lol because that is what triggered my migraines. I do the sunglass thing also. My grandma lets me wear my sunglasses indoors but when im at my parents they don't let me wear them indoors. and that is probably part of my problem too. I am on the computer all day everyday for a couple years now that I've been out of school.
  22. Ever since my Migraine spell Monday night and Tuesday I have been very tired and my eyes have been blurry ever since the migraines. Usually after a migraine I feel better the next day. I had three in a row Monday night and Tuesday so maybe since it was a bigger migraine it has more side effects. Another weird thing that happened last night is I woke up at 12:55 I was in the middle of a dream then suddenly woke up feeling really disoriented having trouble seeing because I was so tired and I got up to get a banana and I just felt so weak and disoriented like I was still in my dream. I don't know if it was because my rem cycle was disturbed but it was such a scary feeling then today I am very tired since my grandma didn't get me up until 930 instead of 830 and I don't like sleeping in or I feel weird that day. I just want my energy back. then something weird has been happening. last night and the night before when I lay down and try to sleep my heart pounds loud in my chest and ears. I don't know if it has to do with after effects of the migraine from Monday or Tuesday but its weird. I just don't like being so sleepy!!! Do you guys ever feel like this? what do you do to get some energy?

  25. Ever since dinner I have had heartburn, shortness of breath and random anxiety.. I was wondering if gerd worsens your asthma. and my anxiety is worse for no reason after I ate dinner and my insides and anxiety wont relax. I was wondering if GERD can cause anxiety as well. I hate feeling like this. I finally got over migraines now I have a different issue lol. Its frustrating. What do you do for heartburn? I already took tums and it didn't work. I think my heartburn is from the rigatoni with spaghetti sauce for dinner.
