  1. You know i have come to the conclusion that we are all like snowflakes, we all have similarities but are all different. What works for one doesnt always work for another. And our symptoms seem the same but are still a little different. But we are all in the same boat just like a bunch of snowflakes. Just a little silly something. Hahahaha. Have a great day
  2. Tearose Thank you once again. I also have interrupted sleep since i got pots. I will discuss this with my doctor. Also where do you find this kind of monitor? Do you get it from the doctor? Thank you for all your time and help. God bless. Desiree
  3. Hi tea rose Thanks for the advice of the compression stockings and salt. I have recently upped my salt intake and drink alot of gatorade and i just started using the stockings but my doctor only ordered 10-20compression for me to start. I do notice a big difference with these things but i stiil seem to get huge adrenaline rushes especially when i sleep. It wakes me up and then my heart rate is very high and i feel short of breath. When it passes i usually feel very tired and have headaches. Do you have any suggestions on how to stop these rushes or how to avoid them? Or is this just another thing to deal with with pots? Thank you for your time. Desiree
  4. Hi all I am just wondering if anyone could give me info on hyperadrenic pots. I had a tilt table test postitive for pots recently but they never said what kind. I have been doing research online myself and saw that this kind of pots has symptoms that are worse with isoprul injection which made me very sick when i got it during the test. The other thing i noticed was that i get alot of migraines and that was also one of the symptoms. If anyone else has this type of pots please let me know your main symptoms so maybe i could discuss this at my next appointment. I am also extremely medicine sensitive. It seems all the pots meds like florinef, midodrine, and beta blockers give me extreme headaches. I appreciate you time and help. Thank you. Desiree
  5. I often feel like this too but just remember there are people here for you and it will get better. Good luck and keep smiling.
  6. Thanks for the tip on watching the show. It was awesome. I cant wait to show it to my family and friends cause i think it will make them realize the seriousness of this illness. I felt like i was watching myself especially the driving part. That same exact thing happened to me with my kids in the car. Kinda scary though a little like living it all over again. Thanks again Desi
  7. i keep having very vivid bad dreams lately. nothing that relates to my life though so dont really know what is wrong. it is very weird. i seem to only sleep a few hours cause the dreams keep me up all night. i wish it would stop though i am very tired.
  8. Once again i am glad this may be another pots thing. i often have weird and extremely vivid dreams. I thought i was just weird but maybe there is a connection. Sweet dreams to everyone. i hope.
  9. I dont know what causes this but I havent been able to drink anything hot for about 5 years now. Being on this site makes me feel so normal though cause I thought i was the only one with these weird symptoms. I guess its just another pots thing. Such fun huh? Good luck.
  10. I am still waiting for a hearing myself so I do not have any advice. But i am sending you the best of wishes that they tell you yes. You deserve it. Good luck. Boy wouldnt that be a nice christmas present!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I get like that all of the time. I have no clue why pots does that to us and it really stinks but you are not the only one.
  12. Hi Jennifer, I am so sorry to hear that you are having problems with anxiety. I definately feel your pain though. You are not the only one with this trust me. I just had one of the worst panic attacks ever the other night. I even had to wake my parents. I have been staying with them since my divorce 2 years ago and i am glad i am. I am 31 and i have two daughters who are 11 and 13 and i totally freak out when i have to drive them to school. It is only 5 min. away from my house but i still get panicky. It is the worst feeling ever. I just got xanax to try but i hate to take any kind of meds. I dont know if i am just an anxious person or if the pots acts up sometimes and gives me those feelings. I wish i knew. I actually just got a program off of the tv called attacking anxiety and depression from the midwest center. I am gonna give it a try to see if it helps. If it does i will let you know. It is a 16 week program though so i hope it helps soon. I really hope you feel better soon and get some relief but please feel free to message me anytime. I think maybe we have alot in common right now and maybe a good ear would help us both. Take care. Desiree
  13. Super cute and thanks for the link. I am having a blast sending my family ones with their photos in it. Thanks again.
  14. I just want to wish everyone here on this forum and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving. I am so thankful today and every day that I found all of you wonderful people. I hope everyone has a great day today even with all of our trials. Desiree
  15. Hi Jennifer I too have been suffering with panic attacks lately. Also depression is setting in, it always does this time of the year with this time change. Yuck!! I wish there was a magic cure or could write something to make it all go away for you and myself as well but I cant. All I can tell you is that you are not the only one going through this and if you ever need to talk fell free to pm me any time. Maybe we could help eachother. Just keep smiling and good luck Desiree
  16. I was having the same problem and went to the eye doctor for it and he explained it to me. He said it is the same thing that happens to fishermen out on boats and the reflection of the sun on the water. He said i had to get polarized sun glasses to drive. They are not perscription but a little expensive but well worth it. He said the sun is alot worse in the winter because it sets lower than in the summer. You could give them a try. I bought them at the office but you can get them at those mall outlets also. They have extra layers of protection to stop the reflection and the strobe effect. He said that would also lessen the migraines we get from that effect from the sun. Hope this helps and good luck. Desiree
  17. I am so sorry to hear that you feel like this. I have to tell you though that you definately are not alone. When i read what you wrote you would think that I wrote it. I just told my family all of the same things you said last weekend. Seem like sometimes its harder to deal than others and when your home alone with your thoughts it can make you crazy. Everyone just tells me to be happy for the good things i have. I think that is hard sometimes though. I am also fighting for disability and with christmas coming and being a single parent i think sometimes it is easier to focus on being sick than the things that are really bothering us. I hope you find some relief soon. If you ever need to chat feel free. I am home alone all day and have alot of free time. Maybe we could help eachother. Desiree
  18. thanks alot for any of you input. It makes me feel better to know i am not the only one dealing with this. You have been very helpful. Thanks again and good luck with your dr visit.
  19. how do you know if you have a strong sympathetic system? Is there a test for this or is it just judged by your symptoms? Thank you
  20. Hi. I am just wondering about adrenaline rushes. It seems like i have days that i have no energy at all but on occasion I have days like today that i cant slow down. I feel almost giddy and super full of energy which isnt normal for me. I am shakey, tired, dizzy but i feel like my body really has to get going. Like i cant sit still. Does anyone else get anything like this. I dont know if this is an adrenaline rush or what. Thanks.
  21. i wish i knew. I just took wellbutrin xl for a few days and WOW terrible side effects. I dont understand it either but i totally feel for you. Its is very frustrating to try things and they may help one thing but give you other problems and who of us needs that. Well good luck with your meds.
  22. Anyone ever try wellbutrin for pots. Just saw the ep today and he told me to try 150mg once a day for the dizziness. I am a little nervous to try it though, I am very sensitive to meds and this seems to have some side effects. Any input would be helpful. Thanks Desiree
  23. I had to have mine taken out when i was 20. Dont know if it had to do with pots though. good luck.
