  1. I am going to hold out my hand to you and visualize the area being totally contained.I'll keep this thought thought for you and yours. this will be positive energy being sent your way. :-)
  2. Hi Corina. I ccan't imagine trying to make that decision. My children are older but still its the mama that the world revolves around. Perhaps for that reason, long term it is best for them, if you go. If you get there and realize its not working out you aren't chained there. If you get there and realize it is helping, your family will want you to get as strong as you can. Maybe you won't have to be there 6 mo. just ideas. Is it close by your family so they can visit?, do you get to go out for weekend visits? My prayers are with you as make this decision. I think knowing that you have an out if it isn't working would help.:-)
  3. while I can't be there, know i'm mentally holding your hand today. keep your chin up!
  4. welcome! I'm sorry to hear you are having problems getting prescriptions. Are you able to get proamitine (midodrine)? I use that as well as salt with some success. Perhaps that would be easier to get prescribed. I did not have good results from the other so thats why I was changed. Hope you can find a dr. that will get the right drug to you.:-)
  5. You are not rambling you just have a full plate. It's bad enough to feel bad but then to have all the other streses, well we all know where you are coming from. I don't have near the physical problems you do but I am inspired by your persistance. I've never heard of a lottery, and I can just imagine that Dr.s ego. Stay the course! :-)
  6. i am so sorry again! I took tablets and i didn't have that reaction. call the pharmacist back?
  7. I had the same thing and the dr put me on a z-pac. I used tylenol for the pain. sorry!
  8. Hi! Ive been on it for 4+ mo and am now on a 2 tab in morning and 1 at noon and dinner if my bp is acting hinky. At first I had terrible itchiing of scalp but that has worn off. I don't know what I'd do without it!:-)
  9. I have to agree with everybody else. Say a prayer, Talk it over with boyfriend, talk with ob/gyn. It sounds like a load, but I think it is doable. Is it at all possible that your meds may have altered the test result? I agree the body will adapt to the baby. You are in tmy thoughts and prayers. Such a heavy thought when it should just be joy. Please keep us posted and know we are holding your hand even from far away.:-)
  10. thank you so much! My birthday over the years has been quiet for various reasons. How nice to have such kind people to help me celebrate. we have a large croatian community in St.louis since the war. so that was special too! Thank you all!:-)
  11. Julia, I am so sorry the year is starting off like this! I do not have the same problems you have so I'm sure I can't completely comprehend. I worked for a chiro out of college for about 3 years and we've remained good friends. He is very "normal". My husband has had back surgeries due to work related injuries so I know how if your back isn't working the rest of you ain't happy either. Have you seen a neuroorthopedist. Neuro being the important part. The neuros are much mmore refined with their treatment. They dont' just cut and sew back up as we have found out. I know we've all had our fill of drs. but it might be something else to think about. Do you have one of those soft cervical collars like whiplash victims wear? You can get them at Walgreens. They are a great help in making your neck stay in position and not aggravate discs and nerves. I have one myself for when things are really rotten and am amazed at how much support they give my neck. I feel like my head will stay on and not roll off. sometimes I wear it if I feel like a migraine is coming on. Oh, I do wish I could help you some how. Please rest and get some relief. your brother will understand. :-)
  12. My prayers will be with you both Wed and daily. As we all know the Dr.s don't know everything. Peace.:-)
  13. I know that you are feeling worse than I do but my life experience has been we don't know what tomorrow will bring good or bad. You have to take it one day at a time and sometimes an hour at a time. The future isn't promised to healthy people so we have to remain on track. I do wish there was some way for you to get some breathing exercises or meditation help. I was leary but it does help. I'm thinking of you. Keep your chin up!
  14. Sorry to hear you are feeling bad! This is third day of terrible sinus infection. been sleeping(?) in recliner because laying flat is terrible headache and sitting up aor standing is dizzy. Today no voice and ears hurt. Dr sent out zpac. course that will screw up candida. I agreeto skip emer dr. especially on holidays. My dr even agreed with that. I hope everyone feels better tomorrow for New year. Pan pizza and rental movie . Whooohoo!:-)
  15. Happy New Year to you! I hope all goes smoothly!:-)
  16. I too have the same problem, there is my last ditch effort of a over the counter medicine Percogesic. It is a mild muscle relaxer and pain reliever. for some reason it will sometimes help. I have not had any interactions with it, but can't speak for everyone. I get the generic at walmart called genosic. lots cheaper. helps with migraines and bunched up neck muscles too. I have tried ambien and lunesta and they don't do a thing. I can't figure out how I can be so sleepy and tired during the day and be wide awake at night. I have always been this way, even as a child. Always been a believer in naps:-). But this NMh/POTS thing has really swung things around. I don't know what the answer is. I hope it gets better for you.:-)
  17. I too agree that it is a blessing to have a great husband. He gets frustrated at times because he works hard, we have our own business, but our kids are 21 in college and 18 senior hs. so they realize somewhat of the situation. I have not gone into it with them because I really don't want to burdne them with this and sometimes this backfires because they think I should be able to do more . They are great kids but they would like a more involved mom I'm sure. You can't commit to things when you don't know how you ae going to feel from morning to afternoon. I do know though that your kids are learning a great deal about empathy and care from you. This will be something they will always have and will be much more understanding of others differences. This is sadly missing from society and our children's generation at large. Your kids know you love them all you can. Hang in there. I just take it day by day. Maybe thats what the good Lord is trying to tell my Type A personality!:-)
  18. I am up tonight with a full blown sinus attack. even my teeth hurt. I can't take the over the counter stuff becuse of drug interactions. I had this at thanksgiving and dr said claritan d. well tonight its not helping and making me extremely dizzy, wide awake. What do others take?
  19. Im so sorry you are having such a time! I really think you should see about that dr. I know it costs, but if you are in this kind of stare you need to follow any lead. I was wondering if yoou could get the name of that electrophyciolgist, she mightknow something or some one closer. I do hope you get some relief. You sure have a great boyfriend!:-)
  20. I don't have the main problems you discusses but I do take Nadolol in morn and at bed to keep heart rate somewhat normal. My prayers are with you. It osunds like you have the drs. lined up. I'm sure they will find something to help you.:-)
  21. That waiting ia a bite. You'd think we were all specialist in it by now! It is hard, but I agree, you need to find something else to think about or do until things start happening. this is a bad time of year with all the holiday hrs. Hopefully someone is in the offices. :-)
  22. Goodness!! All of your symptoms could be from the Gyno problems.. That really needs to be attended to. Hopefully your Gyno know your POTs problem and can take the proper precautions when treating you. My prayers are with you. Keep your chin up!:-)
  23. My accupuncturist is also a chiro. She studied in China for 6 mo and is very good and thoughtful about what you ae telling her. I did burn "cones" above my belly button but that didn't help but we thought at time it was addrenals so i'm not sure that was a failure just we hadn't got along far enough. I don't think I've ever gotten good help from a jerk dr. bad vibes I think. I do agree that those who have connection with eastern med and give care are better than those who just read a book. Its very hard to translate eastern med and western med. I've been trying to for two years and just barely have a hold on it.:-)
  24. Oh I'm so sorry to hear of the PT problem!!. But I know there are things they can do. Every day do just one more exercise(laying down) and gradually build up. Glad you checked in, but concentrate on feeling better. Prayers are with you!:-)
  25. Hi again, I felt fabulous on cortisone!! but my cardi won't let me have them. My blood tests keep coming back normal. I have issues about ranges on those lab tests. I do take DHEA over the counter. Don't know if it really helps or not. My chiro does put ultrasound over adrenals as he believes there is still a connection, whether its just me or not. Do have to say I feel better with ultrasound over lower neck , adrenals, slight manipulation of neck. and traction. All of these could help adrenals. I agree, the adrenal thing whould have been easier than this. but, this is what it is. The mind and body are so entwined and western medicine and particular drs. are so stubburn about realizing that one part of the body on one person may affect somewhere else. We all have very personalized cases. a ten minute visit just doesn't cut it. I hope this helps:-)
