Goodr189
Has anyone had any odd symptoms with their nails and POTS? Lately I've noticed some black lines that grow vertically down my nails on my hands. Can POTS cause this or any medication? They look like the pictures for splinter hemorrhages online. Thanks! corina
Hi! I think this was discussed in the past also. I have vertical lines as well, not sure why and if/how that could be related though!
angelloz
I recently noticed a couple of nails with large white blotches. not the small white spots everyone gets. Noticed this right after having the flu. Also after I became ill..no more moons at the base of my nails except on one thumb. Well that's my nail update. TCP
I get splinter haemorrhages and I have done for years, but mainly ridged nails and splits. I have vertical ridges on my finger and toe nails. The nails are thinner and more brittle. Splinter haemorrhages came on in 1984 after Glandular Fever (EBV) and you can get them when your health is taking a nosedive, heart conditions, bad circulation etc and if you smoke. yogini
White lines and spots, large or small, aren't too unusual - whether or not you have dysautonomia. I haven't heard of black lines - but maybe makes sense to ask your doctor and/or pharmacist.
kalamazoo
When I first got sick, 10 years ago, I was having symptoms of erythromelelgia, and my nail were coming apart. They were literally coming unlayers like some kind of flakey dough, it was so weird and no doctor ever could find out why. Oddly enough my nails are fine now. MonkeyBug
I've read this is due to poor oxygenation in your extremities which means poor oxygenation in your brain. Look into Apex Energetics NeuroFlam and NeuroO2 supplements.
