giftcreations123
I am scared to start this beta blocker and have been staring at these bottles of pills for months now. Anyone have good experiences with it?Can I take it as needed or daily?
sue1234
Propranolol is the only beta I can tolerate a piece of. I literally take about 1/4 of a pill every few months, when I get alot of strong palpitations. I would say try a piece at first, and it wears off in a couple of hours. ramakentesh
Probably the best tolerated med ive tried. Doesnt help with dizziness but cuts out all the other symptoms for me. But some people dont do well on them. But pretty benign in general.
giftcreations123
Thank youCan you take it as needed or does have to be taken daily?
Chaos
What's the dosage? I think the normal ones are pretty short acting. You have to have a dose of at least 60 mg ot get a long acting type.I know when my doc started me several years ago on 10 mg 3x/day he said I could use or skip them at will as it was such a low dose.Personally I'm a huge fan of propanalol. It's helped me a lot.
puppylove
It didn't make me worse and I didn't have any side effects. Unfortunately it didn't make me any better either.

giftcreations123
Only 10 mg ..If you take it at night, it doesn't drop your heart rate or bp too low?
ramakentesh
Strangely no and sometimes i wake up better, other times can bring in slight morning hypotension
Chaos
Doesn't for me but we're all different.Helps my tachy and shaky/tremor.What are you taking it for?
jackiemxoxo
Inderal was one of the only medications I tolerated well and if ever have to be on a beta blocker again it would probably be this one. I was so sensitive to it that I literally broke it up and took 5mg, 10mg, 10mg, and then 5mg throughout the day. This is not a medication I would stop taking or take when needed because you will have rebound tachycardia! Eventually though I felt like it was making me too tired and my tachycardia is not as severe as it used to be. I think the key to this medication is finding the correct dosage that works for you so good luck!
giftcreations123
I would be taking it for tachycardia and high blood pressure..but of course mt bp gets low too which is scary..worried it will drop pressure too low
