ramakentesh Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Every time I relapse I get eye's full of vitreous floaters. Very annoying. Can anyone relate? Quote
puppylove Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Oh my gosh, I was just about to make a post about this! They are so annoying and really weird looking too. Quote
ramakentesh Posted January 9, 2012 Author Report Posted January 9, 2012 Thanks! ive posted on this in the past but I remember someone recently suggesting this was associated with small fiber neuropathy.I was hoping to try and work out if these only occur in particular types of POTS or are just a result of reduced cerebral blood flow?? Katybug Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Count me in. Although I have had less (not completely gone) since I have been on Depakote for my migraines which has been successful in reducing the number of migraines. Quote
julieph85 Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 I have TONS of these and they started when I developed RA 6 years ago. I absolutely believe they are related to autoimmunity. Quote
songcanary Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 I got a bunch of these two years ago and my ophthalmologist told me they are a normal part of aging. Sigh... Quote
Chaos Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 I get tons of them too. Much more noticeable some days than others so I wonder what triggers them. Quote
ramakentesh Posted January 9, 2012 Author Report Posted January 9, 2012 I get them badly every time I relapse. My eyes fill up then. Quote
abnel Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 I have quite a few and have had them for at least 10-15 years. I only got POTS 2 and a bit years ago so not sure it it's related. Quote
Alyssa Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 I was just talking about this! I get it pretty often as well Quote
peregrine Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 Same here and it has gotten worse with the POTS. I have a particular eye issue (palinopsia, roughly "my afterimages when things move are about 5x as long as they should be") that is associated with more floaters, but with POTS they seem to have gotten worse. Silly eyes! Quote
Serbo Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 havent got these for a while, but have a noticed some today perhaps coinciding with feeling a bit out of it, lack of blood? Used to also get blocks of grey in my vision and a lot of flashes of purple/blue light at night but seems to have calmed down now Quote
McKenzie Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 Me too! I have tons of floaters! I can't say when the got worse. I even remember having floaters as a child. Quote
MomtoGiuliana Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 I have them too and have for a long time. I also remember having them as a kid but definitely worse now. I was told by my eye dr that they are worse the more near-sighted you are. I am very near-sighted. But maybe there is another reason I have them too... Quote
RunningWild Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 I never knew what this was... I thought i just had weird eyes. And they have gotten much worse as my POTS gets worse.weird. Quote
lillybits Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 i get those all the time too. some days i can ignore them then other days I wonder if i have a little fish tank in my eyes ha ha Quote
