  1. i received my decision letter last week. i signed on to the ssa website and it says i will receive $480.67. thought the least amount for ssi was $721. how did they come up with $480.67? i live with a friend, my daughter lives here also. my daughter is 19 and goes to college full time, she does not work. i told ssa my friends house payment is $500 and i am suppose to pay $400 for rent and utilities. am i suppose to pay 1/2 or 1/3 of the bills to get the full amount?
  2. i m looking at my medical records... every single lab i have had done shows low albumin. could this have anything to do with my dysautonomia? the nurse practitioner said its no big deal. but she has also said my low vitamin d is no big deal too. from what i ve read, albumin and d is a big deal.
  3. if i had this in school i wouldnt go either. i do not like to be in public or alone when i am having an episode. what about school at home http://www.k12.com

  6. I have a question. I had my hearing September the 24th... today I received a letter from SSA about my hearing saying "Fully Favorable". At the very end of the letter is says "Medical improvement is expected with appropriate treatment. Consequently, a continuing disability review is recommended in 24 months". I have been sick since I was 27. I was diagnosed when I was 31, I am now 39. I am receiving appropriate treatment, but I am not improving. I guess I don't know what "Medical improvement is expected with appropriate treatment" means.
  7. My hearing was September 24th. I received a call a few days ago from SSI telling me my hearing was approved. She asked me several questions. She asked me if I pay rent to my friend I live with. I said "I have no income, so obviously i can't but I am suppose to pay him $300 a month since 2008". Does this change my back pay? Will they take money from my back pay and give to my friend I live with? Guess I don't get why they asked me if I paid rent when they know I do not have an income.
  8. i thought 23 and me was about ancestry. no, i don't see a geneticist.
  9. Katybug, yes. sorry, been having trouble finding words.

  12. my hearing was sept 24th, its now january 27th. i still have not received a status letter. the lawyer sent me an email a month ago telling me my social security claim was in decision writing. does it take a month to write a decision?
  13. i have had difficulty breathing, but the pulse ox says 98/99. don't understand that.
  14. i didn't know the dr. could prescribe tamiflu just being around someone who has the flu.
  15. i had trigger point injections (kenalog/Novocaine), i had a bad reaction. and i know it wasnt the kenalog because i have had that before. not sure why my neurologist used novocaine when the dentist quit using that over 30 years ago do to adverse reactions.
  16. my bp has been 113/65 hr 70. i went to bed last night at 2 and woke up a 3 feeling like my heart was beating hard. i took my bp and it was 133/74 hr 82. not sure why my bp and hr was higher when i took a beta blocker before i went to bed. anyway, i went to the bathroom (number 1 and 2 like three or 4 times in 30 minutes). i also felt this all of a sudden systemic burning sensation when i was going to the bathroom. my face was also flushed a little. i took another beta blocker and benadryl and went back to bed. does anyone else have these episodes? i was pretty scared when it happened. i also have visual snow, and that was worse during the episode.
  17. hmmm, never heard of an abdominal migraine. i do get headaches, heartburn, and diarrhea. one night my diarrhea was white (clear liquids), the next night is was yellow liquid, today its red. not sure how acid reflux can cause that weird burning sensation in my arms and back. i will look up abdominal migraine.
  18. i was dx with pots in 2004. friday night immediately after eating i didn't feel right, i was nauseous, my heart picked up speed and i felt this burning sensation (felt like it was inside my arms and back). the burning feeling will come on all of a sudden, last 1 minute or 2 then go away, then a few minutes later i will feel the burning again. i was in the er friday night. they know about pots... thankfully. my bp was 112/32. they just gave me iv fluids. by the time i left my bp (bottom number) was up to fifty something and my heart rate was down, and i didn't feel to bad. the next day i had another episode, again yesterday and today. i have had these episodes before, but not this bad and not this frequent. i wonder if these episodes have any thing to do with the trigger point injections (steroid & lidocaine) i had about a month ago in my neck and shoulder. the next 3 or 4 days after the injections my face was redder than i have ever seen. but back to this weird feeling i get inside my body, it almost feels like someone hooked me up to an iv and sent fire through it. i hate feeling funny during the episode, scary. i haven't eaten much since friday, but have managed to drink 32 ounces of water a day. last night i woke up at 1am not feeling well, my heart felt like it was racing but when i took my pulse is was 83. my heart felt like it was beating hard. i went to the bathroom, turned on the light and looked at my eyes... my eyes were dilated, i was nauseous, felt the burning, and had diarrhea which was yellow liquid. the night before that my diarrhea was white liquid, like water. i don't mind feeling pain or nauseous, but i do not like this burning sensation and feeling funny or difficulty breathing. wish i didn't have episodes that scare me. has anyone else ever experienced the burning sensations, and if so what do you do for it?
  19. rosey1125, does this tinging sensation inside your body feel like a burning sensation. i was in the er friday night with high heart rate, low bp, and this burning sensation inside my body. scares the heck out of me when this happens. i have POTS, but i don't think this burning sensation is a symptom of pots. i told grubb, my neurologist, the er about this systemic burning sensation but i don't think they know what it is. i think i have something going on besides pots. i was i knew what the burning was.. adrenaline surge?, nervous system misfiring? i also had these trigger point injections (steroid and lidocaine) in my shoulder and neck last month.. my face was really red for 3 or 4 days and felt like it was on fire. i ve always had the burning sensation, but not as often since having them injections.
  20. i had trigger point injections in my neck and shoulders (steroid and lidocaine), the next day my face was very red (felt like my face was on fire).... this lasted for 3 or 4 days. now i m getting these systemic burning sensations and my heart rate goes high.. i definitely doen't feel right when its happening. i went to the er friday night and my bp was 112/32. i should had told them about the injections. i wish i know what the burning was. i wonder if an excited nervous system can cause burning. t feels horrible.
  21. do you ever get this burning sensation run down your arms and back? i have headaches every day too, havent had an xray or mri but i feel like my headaches are from my neck. i get these burning sensations... i m not sure if its from my neck or one heck of an adrenaline surge. my heart raises to when i get the burning.
  22. the first time i had a migraine with aura it scared the heck out of me and i went to the er... thought i was going blind. i seen a neurologist and told her i seen blind spots, zigzags, etc. she called this aura. i never heard the word before. sometimes they happen with a headache, sometimes without. the aura lasts about 20/30 minutes. i still get scared every time it happens, hoping my vision is actually going to return to normal.
