  1. Thank you for all your replies. I feel safest at home, however, I always make sure I am near a hospital or close to fire dept should anything happen. I am going back on Zoloft, because I can't deal with POTS and anxiety. Maybe if I treat my anxiety the POTS will calm down..?

Again, I really appreciate your replies. I know you guys understand what I'm going through :o)

  2. Thank you for your reply! I have seen a therapist for 6 years; I've had POTS for 9 years. I am thinking about going back on Zoloft bc my anxiety has made me ALOT worse. Some dr have said that SSRIs may help with Bp and heart rate problems. I am on Ativan .5mg twice a day so I can leave for a few hours at a time, if its a good day...

  3. Just wondering if anyone else has severe anxiety about being away from home...? I am always worried that I am going to get severely dizzy when I am out and it has really affected me. I have never passed out and I try to remind myself of that, but I still worry. Then of course the anxiety makes my symptoms worse. I guess I am wondering what everyone who experiences this does to cope.

  4. Hi guys,

I'm in for long term EEG monitoring because I have been having spells of dizziness as well as waking up covered in sweat with fast heart rate and dizziness. I have had a few abnormal spike waves on EEG, but doctor said it's nothing that she would prescribe a seizure medication for. I have only been here for two days and one night, but she is going to try to get autonomic doctor in to see me. Does anyone else wake up dizzy, tachy, and sweating? I'm wondering what meds are left to try. My anxiety is sky high so I'm wondering if going back on an SSRI would help...?

  5. I'm on .5 mg of ativan for anxiety, however I have found that it helps me breath better and I generally feel pretty good on it. Has anyone else had the same experience? In wondering if my dr can keep me in this for long term. I only take the .5 mg once a day so by the end of the day I don't feel that great, but this med sure does help me!

  6. In the past I had an abnormal EEG and I am wondering why type of anti seizure meds people on this forum are on. My mom had TENS from two of the meds she was on (neurontin and depakote) so those are out of the question.

Aside from abnormal EEG I suffer a weird abdominal feeling and near syncope. It feels like I am on an elevator going up and down or a roller coaster. I do suffer from migraines and anxiety so maybe these could be causing the symptoms too..?
