Dizzy Dame
Hi all, Well, yesterday my Cardiologist decided he didn't want to see me anymore. I came to him to ask about different treatments we could try (since the midodrine only helps so much). He told me he was "unwilling" to do anything else and that I should go back to Vanderbilt. I explained to him that Vandy is not my primary care, that they are really only research. Then he said that I should try to find a doctor that knows more about POTS. I told him that I've been looking for 9 bleeding months, and he didn't seem to care. The capper was when I then asked him to fill out my diability paperwork for school and he said "Lauren, I'm not willing to do this. Right now, I'm not sure if you even have POTS. If you had coronary artery diesase, or somehting..." I was in my WHEELCHAIR when he told me that he didn't think I was disabled. In my ****ing wheelchair!!At this point, I'm desperate. Does anyone have a doctor in the DC/Baltimore area that they like? She/he doesn't need to be a POTS expert, just someone who cares. PLEASE help. Thanks, Lauren
