Bruising?

Yep, me and my mom bruise all the time. My legs are often covered with small bruises. I've talked with my doctor about it--it's normal for me. Just one more of the wacky things that my body does and I just shrug ;)

If this is something new for you be sure let your doctor know. Nina

Always? ;) that's kind of scary ;)

thanks, though for the compliment...that was very nice of you to say.

Genie--if you've not had your iron / hemoglobin level checked, that might be something to ask your doctor about.

Sometimes I think I have the banana gene. I show the bruise on the outside by I'm fine on the inside! I do bruise and then there are bouts of more and than a time of less. I don't think about them much unless I'm trying to cover them with makeup so I can hide them. tearose

I was just thinking of asking this same question! I wake up every day with small bruises all over my legs, and I don't remember even being bumped. I've always been an easy bruiser, but it seems much worse since the POTS. I am slightly anemic, though, so that probably contributes.

Thanks everyone! I have asked the doc's and they are not sure what is causing it. Now I know that I do sometimes run into stuff esp. on my dizzy days!! But, I did have my iron check the other day and all that is good so guessing that maybe it's just another wonderful POTS mark <_< Yeah, does get bad when I want to wear shorts but.. thanks for all the imput, again make me feel 'normal' as I can :-)

I've started to bruise a lot easier then I used to. I've been getting big, ugly bruises on my legs. I know the classical EDS can predispose to bruising...but I never had problems with this before. I'm going to ask my doc. Till then I'm going to join tearose and try to hide them with makeup. <_<
