My doctor didn't pull my license - he knows my home situation. I drive ONLY if I am having a really "good" day, and then only short distances.
-
Yaay!! Wonderful! I hope the mattress works out.

Yes, my room was in an older part of the building, but there was a bathroom with a shower, and a mini fridge so it cost us nothing for him. Just transportation costs to get there and back. They did release me late in the afternoon so we found a room in town to stay that night.

I was there for 4 days - they brought in a cot for my husband to sleep on and also brought him a meal tray when they brought mine.

I got a letter a few weeks ago (Yes, a LETTER!!) telling me I was in a-fib. I had been to my PCP and he had sent me for an echo so his office now set a letter telling me I was in a-fib.
SO I told hubby and kid that NOW if I faint - all bets are off - call 911. THEN I later got in to see a new cardiologist. I had converted out of a-fib so he wants to see me back Dec 2. But last week I had another episode of feeling REALLY bad and hubby insisted on taking me to ER. Of course, they did nothing. I was stuck 4 times before they finally got an IV in, then took another 14 times before they got enough tiny dribbles of blood to do the ordered labs.
I did leave there feeling better - probably because in the hours while I was there they gave me 2 bags of saline.

They are just SO beautiful!! What a portrait of "the kids"!! You need to get wallet size ones made to show off...
-
I have done this - and there is quite a swing.
If you google "The Billings Method" you will find a ton of info.
-
Oh my goodness!! How beautiful!
Don't you just love to see them bond? My 2 love each other and bathe each other quite often - and I love to see them cuddled together sleeping.
-
Thanks, Nina!

The Twins.... Silkie Bantams (Okay - I think they are WAAYYY cute!)
Close up of one of the Silkies. I'm fascinated by the feathered feet!!
Group shot of The Bachelors. The big black and white one had long pretty tail feathers but a DOG pulled them out! (Grrr!!)
Bedtime here at the Mimosa Hill Chicken Retirement Village. Note that MOST of our guests sleep in the luxury of MY Lincoln Town Car.
But we have an "Economy" option - Rick's Suzuki! (That's Shaggy the rooster...)
We also have an option for those who prefer an "Outdoor" experience! (Wonder where he will sleep when it rains??) Is this a Chickenberry??
Hector imitating Garfield. He's SO spoiled!! And sweet!

Elegant parasols.

Is this clinic associated with a hospital system? If so, send a copy of the letter to their "Quality Assurance" team too.
-
Certainly!
Nina, thanks for the info.
Anyone know if we should send cards? Or would that be too much?

Hmmm.... Maybe it IS "something else" in the coffee besides the caffeine that does me so much good.
Wonder what it is?
-
I, too, have never heard of a coffee allergy.
I have noticed if I try to substitute the pills for my caffeine intake it doesn't seem to work as well, like maybe there's something in the coffee in addition to the caffeine I seem to need.
Hmmm.... strange stuff we have going on!!
-
Congratulations! I wish you many years of happiness!
-
You know, that does sound like a great title!
-
Ugh! The frustration! It adds and adds to what we already have to cope with.
So sorry you are having such a tough time. I hope they get it straightened out soon!

Hector thinks he is helping me knit. Silly kitty!
Crockpot Apple Pie for the HopeKeepers meeting one night. Yum!
First Peony of the year. I have never seen this one before!
Irises in the front yard.
Baby chickens, ducks, turkeys, and geese....
The son of a friend of mine is staying here for a couple of years and he bought these babies so he could make money selling eggs later on. In the meantime I can go look at them and go, "AWWW!!" And I don't have to take care of them!
They're SO cute!!

Brain Fog - either I laugh it off or go back to bed.

I, too am stubborn, but also I try to be realistic. Recently the 19-year-old son of a friend of mine has moved in with Hubby and me. He takes care of everything outside and it has been a tremendous help to us.
He also keeps a close eye on things and makes sure all the "heavy" things inside are done plus if I'm not up to cooking he does that. He has been a real blessing to us!

I use it. I take a .25 mg tablet every night an it sure helps calm things. It has been a real help getting things back on track. I have been taking it for 4 years now.
Addictive? Maybe. In the grand scheme of things, to me, it is woth it.

I take Phenergan. Yes, it does make me sleepy, but with repeated use the sleepy factor goes away. Or it did for me, anyway.

Hmmm..... Yeah, at the beginning of all this the (Wal-Mart!!) optometrist knew all about NMS too.... Isn't this interesting?!?! He explained a lot of things to me.
Xanax For Short Term Issue/use?

I, too, take the Xanax intermittently - and sometimes double the dose if things are going to "overstress" me. Then will go weeks at a time with none.
It REALLY helps keep me from the tachy thing! Also helps me sleep. Probably helps save the lives of pushy relatives who won't shut up too... j/k...
