  1. Dari, Wow, sounds like you're having a really rough time! I'm SO sorry to hear about all of your dr. frustrations. I can't imagine how hard it must've been to find this last dr. who seemed to be on board and then told you today that there's nothing physically wrong. One of the best things a Dr. can do is make you feel validated and one of the absolute worst things they can do is make you feel like it's in your head. Frustrating! Just wanted you to know that we are here to listen and vent to... Hang in here, Lisa
  2. Hello, You're not the only one. I was just sitting here thinking about how messy my house is. Thankfully my husband does all of the swiffering and vacuuming, etc. Household chores are some of my biggest challenges for sure. It's too bad dust bunnies don't seem to make very good friends! Lisa
  3. Melissa, That's great news!! Thanks for sharing! Hope you get some rest after your very early morning adventure! Lisa

  9. Thanks for your input everyone! The dracula Hypothesis made me laugh!! I have tried Florinef a couple of times and got headaches from it. I'm not sure why... You guys are so helpful! (and funny) Lisa
  10. Hello, About 2 years ago I found out that I have a 35% deficit in my blood volume (Daxor BVA-100 Automated Blood Volume Test). When I explain this to people they say..."why can't you just be given blood transfusions?". I actually don't ever remember asking a dr. this question so in the mean time I'm asking you guys. What do you think? I have 2 answers that I've thought of.... 1) my body may not be able to keep and regulate the right amount of blood 2)it would seem quite impractical Any other thoughts on this topic?? Thanks so much!! Lisa
  11. Melissa, I am still praying for you and thinking of you. Love, Lisa
  12. Emily, Thanks for the update! Melissa, I am still praying praying praying!! You are such an encouragement to us all. Much love! Lisa
  13. Hello, I know some of you have posted saying that your body temp. is often low. Mine is as well and seems to run around 96. How do I know if I have a fever then? Is it the same temp. as a normal person or is it when it's elevated. For example...the other day I felt feverish and it was 98.9. Would that be considered a fever for me? Any thoughts?? Lisa
  14. Hello, Thanks to everyone for there input! "doctor guest" - I will be talking with a high risk OB about this medicine. Thanks for your wisdom. Thanks again everyone, Lisa
  15. Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knows what drug class Midodrine is? I am not pregnant but I'm wondering for the future if Midodrine is usually frowned upon with pregnancy? Any thoughts? Thanks! Lisa

  19. Hello, For those of you who see Dr Grubb and have applied/are applying for disability..... Do you know if he or his NP are willing to help fill out paperwork? Just wondering, Thanks Lisa
  20. Hello, This week I tried going off of Toprol XL. (to see if I still needed to be on it, etc.) I only take 1/2 tablet of a 25 mg dose (12.5mg) because my HR actually gets too low with the full dose. The interesting part is that I've noticed being off of it that I am startled SOOO easily (it's miserable!). I also seem to have many more adrenaline surges. I haven't slept as well this week either. I am going back on it as I seem to do much better while on it. **All this to say I thought I'd post this because some of you may want to know that this medicine helps me with being startled and adrenaline surges. Take care, Lisa
  21. Thanks so much for posting this!! Lisa
  22. Hello, I think you're referring to Beverly - Dr Grubb's PA. I just saw her for my last visit instead of waiting to see Dr Grubb. She is extremely sweet and helpful and a good listener. It's really up to you. Honestly there's nothing like seeing Dr. Grubb because he just has SO much understanding. But if you're needing to see someone or have any pressing question/concerns I would definitely see Beverly. She knows a lot and can always ask Dr Grubb some questions if she needs to. Hope this helps! Lisa
  23. Hi, I have also benefited from taking Singulair. It keeps me from wheezing and just helps all around allergy-wise. I've not heard about your specific concerns but it's always good to research. Take care, Lisa
  24. Hello, The 2 drugs are different - but both are definitely worth a try! My experience with Provigil was that it gave me a boost of energy - very similar to a strong dose of caffeine. Proamatine doesn't give me energy - it keeps me from passing out (i feel less dizzy as well and lots less light headed). Let us know what you guys decide! Lisa
  25. I was also going to say ice cream. You could make a shake out of your favorite flavor. Yum!! Lisa
