  1. I also have the snapping, popping, crunching. It seems random and sometimes sounds like bones are going to break. Very strange. Also get increasing episodes of limbs falling asleep, far more than ever before. So glad that I have joined this discussion group. Again to just have someone else out there who feels these same crazy symptoms.
  2. congrats!! I dream of doing this again. You may feel horrible now, but I feel I have to take advantage of whatever good moments I have. I find it very difficult to pace myself on good days. Just want everything back to normal again.
  3. Thank you to everyone for your posts and making me feel that I have def. found the right place for support and education. I have been scanning the posts and website and feel such relief to know that all the crazy symptoms that don't make sense to many of my physicians are very much the norm here!! thank you
  4. I also have this, very frequently. I will wake from a sound sleep feeling an adrenalin rush and heart racing, sometimes pulse at 125. Will lay quietly take meds, atenolol and add klonopin until it calms down some. Usually feel much worse those days. Very scary feeling actually.
  5. I was diagnosed with CFS back in 1987 and had two major setbacks since then, last one in 1991. Had been doing fine with limitations on physical exercise since, until diagnosed with NCS after several presyncopal episodes that started about 3 yrs. ago. This was quite scary, as they were random and unpredictable. I really wondered if it was related to menapause which I had at age 40 and thought it would pass. Had tilt table testing and put on Atenolol, which was at 50 mg, now 25mg. Was managing, but fearful of driving or going places as these episodes were still happening occas. Anyway went on a plane flight for vacation, after speaking with cardiologist about flying who reassured me-no problem. While taking off felt very strange and presyncopal, got better as we leveled, then as we waited to land in a thunderstorm-hovering, I experienced extreme ear pain. Long story-went to outpt. clinic while on vaca - told had retracted eardrums, given Medrol and Augmentin-high dose and told I could not fly home. We rented a car and drove 18 hrs. home where I developed vertigo in the last few hours of traveling and haven't been the same since. I thought it was a circulation problem or a medication reaction. Have seen numerous specialists and was told had right peripheral vestibulopathy-inner ear trauma that caused me to have severe imbalance and vertigo. Now that is in question as I haven't improved and I have continued to get worse. Mutliple muscle and nerve problems, unable to stand or walk for any period of time. Legs have felt like cement since all of this and all kinds of nerve sensations. Was a question of possible Multiple Symptom Atrophy-which was apparently ruled out-but I question that it may still be a factor. Feels very neuromuscular. Now a question of fibromyalgia. Also have lower lumbar disc tear and cervical degeneration. Very sensitive to medications that I have been on. Blood pressures all over the place, usually low, but sometimes jump with activity or at rest. Same with heart rate. Pupils will dialate and headache. Have been hospitalized two dift. times. Now seeing physiatrist and family MD, they want me to try newer drug Cymbalta to see if it will help with pain and symptoms. Just wondering if anyone has tried this medication? Very discouraged- out of work since last June and face losing my job after 22 years as I am homebound. Had to move to lower level of my house, not driving or working, care for self most days. Not able to do much else.Tried Physical therapy at home and outpt. -not able to tolerate. Glad to find a place to just chat-thanks- Meds-Atenolol 25 mg, Klonopin and Protonix, ?starting Cymbalta-Zofran as needed for nausea Also lactose intolerant
