  1. I have a family member that has suffered with gastroparesis for years.  The only thing that helped her was juicing.  She was very careful of the foods she used at first, no cabbage for one.  She also found ginger tea throughout the day helped some.  The meds she tried did not help.

I have pureed my veggies for a long time because of colon issues.  It's easy if you use a food machine.  Good luck!

  2. I have vasovagal syncope & fainting is not new to me but the cause is different.    For several mornings I been  drinking prune juice or eating prunes as a natural laxative on empty stomach.   I've also had a  tsp of olive oil in applesauce to cause same reaction.    I've done this before & it never caused a problem that I was aware of.  Could these foods be causing blood to pool in my colon?   Have you ever had this happen?  Thanks.

  3. Do any of you use oxygen? Has it helped you? Do you need a prescription to get your own oxygen tank refilled? I am told locally that even although I have my own tank I need a prescription. I have been having more blackout/fainting lately & thought I would try oxygen to see if it helped. thanks.

  4. This is off topic but there's not much traffic on the other forums. Hope someone can help. Approx 5 years ago I pulled my lower abdominal muscles/ligaments helping lift a heavy object. I've mentioned this to my Internist every time I've had an appointment with him for the last 5 years. He will press on my abdomen & basically dismiss it as nothing. I've asked for ultrasound or some test that might show what my injury is & he says testing does not show these type injuries. I'm to the point that even the slightest movement starts the pain & lifting anything is out of the question. I'm on Medicare & must be referred to a specialist which my Internist doesn't do unless I ask him.

What kind of physician do you think I should see for a diagnosis? It's not an orthopedic problem. I would at least like to know what I'm dealing with.

    Thanks for your help.

  5. I have been allergic to the world for many years & going to a hospital is just about the most dangerous thing I could do. I have sat in the hospital parking lot struggling to breathe because I knew if I went inside I would never come out.

The main problem I saw was all the medications she was on. Most of us can't take any med's of any kind even those we need to treat other health issues. They're chemicals & what we react to the most. I was also wondering how she can possibly live in a new house. The wood in it alone is enough to cause breathing problems. Hopefully they addressed that issue. I missed some of the interview.

I wish her the best I know she has a miserable life.

  6. I feel very sluggish & tired especially the day after a migraine, can't tolerate loud noise, & usually feel slightly off balance, eyes don't focus well. Sometimes the pain is still there the next day. I think it probably takes a couple of days for our blood vessels or arteries to relax again.

  7. I don't really feel like preparing huge dinners for guests but would like to make a special meal for my grown children. I'm at a complete loss on what to prepare for gluten free, low or sugar free desserts. I've tried several recipes, most of which have not been edible. Any suggestions? I don't have the energy to stand in the kitchen all day especially to throw the finished dish out. Thanks.
