  1. Since you do have TMJ, maybe your jaw is getting ready to act up again. My TMJ was undercontrol for about two years...no symptoms what so ever. But about 2 months I would get these extremely sharp pains in my face, and also around that time, my jaw began clicking. It stopped after a few weeks so maybe that's what's going on with you.

In the meantime for the pain, maybe try some kind of compress, heat maybe? Or take Tylenol or some other kind of pain reliever.

*hugs* Hopefully it will pass without giving you too much trouble!

  2. I know EXACTLY what you mean. I have a list of things that I'm not sure if I should bring up or not with my doctors. I'm always bringing something up with my family doctors. They're great, but I don't want them starting to think that I'm a hypochondriac....then there's my POTS doctor who answers rudely when I bring something up and either says, "that's normal" or "I can't do anything for that." So I'm a little hesitant bringing things up with him.....I know exactly what you mean though.

But, I think you should bring it up at some point especially if you end up getting urinary tract infections. (That's another part of my problem.)

  3. I take .2 mg of Florinef, not sure about you, but if I were weaning off it I would do something like this.

(below is how I would wean myself off Florinef if I had to)

    DAY 1- take .2mg

    DAY 2- .1mg

    DAY 3- .2mg

    DAY 4- .1mg

and so on for a week

    then

    DAY 8- .1mg

DAY 9- cut the pill in half, and take one half

    DAY 10- .1mg

DAY 11- take the other half from Day 9

use the schedule for a week, when you get to the week of taking the half pill and none, then you would probably just stop.

With the help of your doctor, come up with a plan like that (that's how I've been weaned off SSRI's in the past). I've stopped taking Florinef before cold turkey and I crashed real badly so it's important to do it correctly.

  4. Hi Gayla,

I can not believe that I forgot to put this in my reply to you, but I did! Anyway, my surgery was in the morning and it was already planned that I would stay the night so they could be sure my vital signs weren't doing anything out of the "ordinary." We had to get it approved by the insurance company which was a big pain in the you know what but it was well worth it.

    Take Care!

  5. Hi Gayla,

I had my gallbladder out a little over a year ago. The surgery itself went fine. I had a little trouble waking up from the anesthesia though but it wasn't that much of a problem. Recovery was painful.... I was in SO much pain :) .

I hope your sugery goes well :) ! I'll be thinking of you!

    Take Care,

    Gwendolyn
